Nick Young's excited about the Lakers bringing Metta World Peace out of retirement -- he just has a funny way of showing it ... which probably has a lot to do with the fact he got a little turnt Thursday night.

Nick was outside The Nice Guy in West Hollywood when we asked about his new teammate, and newsflash ... he's declaring yet another name change for Metta.

We're pretty sure Metta will NOT be down with his suggestion. Swaggy P also said something about switching up his own nickname -- but that could've been the drinks talking.

Definitely a fun night for Nick ... aka ole whatshisname.

1:00PM PT -- A Carbon County judge set Sytch's bail at $2,000. She is still in custody. Sytch is due back in court in early December.

Tammy Sytch, better known as former WWE diva Sunny, got nailed by cops again ... this time for skipping court dates from her last arrest.

If you name your pro football team the Washington Redskins, you're just inviting this kind of BS -- a fan decorating himself like he's a "Blazing Saddles" extra ... except there's nothing funny about it.

Some guy painted his face red and donned a black wig with long side braid ... then plopped himself down at MetLife Stadium to watch his team perform pitifully, and lose to the New York Giants.

FYI -- Rivers and Cuban have been taking some not so subtle digs at each other in the media ... with Cuban ripping Doc for the way he went after DeAndre Jordan ... and Doc saying Cuban is "smoke and mirrors."

Time to have your friggin' mind blown ... 'cause Tony Hawk says there's something Justin Bieber actually does BETTER than him on a skateboard ... and he' s totally serious.

Tony stopped by "TMZ Hollywood Sports" to talk about his new video game "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" when the topic turned to celebrity skaters ... being that Lil Wayne is a playable character in the game.

After giving Wayne some big time skate props ... Tony drops a 4-wheeled bombshell ... saying he's actually witnessed Justin do something that in all his years of skating ... Hawk has never pulled off.

"He impressed me with an inward hardflip," Hawk said ... "It's a trick I've never been able to do in my life."

"He pulled one right in front of me and I was like, 'All right, there it is.'"

But one trick doesn't put you in the Hall of Fame -- 'cause when we asked Tony if Bieber will be a playable character in the game, it didn't sound like JB made the cut.

Michael Sam is dead set on making his way back to the National Football League ... and has fired his agent and his publicist in an effort to get his career back on track.

One of Sam's biggest hurdles will be convincing NFL teams he's serious about football -- and no longer cares about stuff like "Dancing With the Stars" and working with Oprah Winfrey. Firing his publicist and agent could go a long way to proving to teams he's only focused on football.

Sam told KMIZ he's brushing up on his media skills during his break from football. He's taken a gig working for the Mizzou Network after his stint in the CFL didn't work out ... but Sam says he plans on working hard to make an NFL roster in 2016.

Sam's recent career track closely mirrors that of Tim Tebow ... who told TMZ Sports on Thursday he's still figuring out what he's going to do next ... after he was cut recently from the Philadelphia Eagles.

Looks like Lamar Odom is following in the footsteps of his old buddy Rob Kardashian ... returning to Instagram after a lengthy time away.

Odom has been very low key since allegations earlier this year that he ambushed Khloe Kardashian outside a Los Angeles SoulCycle ... assertions that Odom vehemently denied to TMZ Sports.

What's more interesting than the fact that Lamar is posting is WHAT he's posting ... pictures of his healthy eating and past bball accomplishments ... hint that the return might be the beginnings of an attempt to restore his reputation.

With crazy rumors circulating about Lane Kiffin ... the University of Alabama says there is one thing that is certain -- he's STILL the offensive coordinator for the football team.

Kiffin's name is blowing up on social media today ... over completely unverified rumors that Kiffin was involved in an affair with a high profile Alabama lady.

One of the rumors was that the alleged banging set off head coach Nick Saban -- who gave him walking papers.

But TMZ Sports spoke with Josh Maxson, the director of communications for Alabama football, who tells us Kiffin is "obviously" still employed and remains the team's offensive coordinator.

Passengers flying over the Bay Area, relax ... your plane is NOT in any danger from the San Francisco 49ers' bright stadium lights ... so says the Federal Aviation Administration.

According to recent reports, pilots have been "incapacitated" by Levi's Stadium's ultra-bright lights ... putting the lives of passengers at risk.

FLAT OUT B.S. if you ask the FAA -- the US aviation regulatory agency -- which tells TMZ Sports the reports are "very misleading."

"We got fewer than a half dozen complaints about a year ago. We're unaware of any since December, 2014" ... an FAA rep told us.

The agency says the people at Levis Stadium quickly addressed the issue ... "They now communicate with us before using the scoreboard or lights. We then send alerts out to the pilots on a regular basis. There is no danger."

In fact, the FAA issued the following statement:

"Last year, a few pilots reported being distracted or confused by bright lights from the Levi Stadium scoreboard. Most of the reports appeared to be related to scoreboard testing and calibration, when the equipment was illuminated more brightly than normal.

The FAA relayed these concerns to the stadium operator, which agreed to provide the FAA with advance notice of all scoreboard testing and not to test or calibrate it at night during scheduled airfield hours.

Additionally, pilots are alerted that they can expect bright lights whenever they’re flying near the stadium through Notices to Airmen, the San Jose International Airport facility directory and recorded information on the airport’s pilot information system.

FAA and stadium officials also speak multiple times before every game, concert or other event to discuss any event-specific alerts that may need to be issued.

Usain Bolt says he's NOT AFRAID of a challenge ... even if it's from a 105-year-old man ... telling TMZ Sports he's absolutely down to race the centenarian sprinter who called him out!

The challenger is Hidekichi Miyazaki -- aka "Golden Bolt" -- who set the world record in the 100 meter dash for people 105-years-old and up with a time of 42 seconds.

After the race, Miyazaki did Usain's famous lightning bolt celebration -- and challenged the Jamaican to a race!

Now, Bolt's agent Ricky Simms tells us, "Usain would be delighted to accept the challenge and meet Mr. Miyazaki the next time he is in Japan."

Miyazaki better start training ... Bolt's last 100m time was 9.79.

Most 105-year-olds are dead ... but there's one from Japan who's still SPRINTING LIKE A CHAMP ... and set a WORLD RECORD on the track this week.

His name is Hidekichi Miyazaki -- and one day after his 105th birthday, he recorded the fastest ever 100 meter dash time for a person in the 105+ category ... with a time of 42 seconds.

But the best part of the whole thing ... he busted out the LIGHTNING BOLT celebration after he crossed the finish line ... a tribute to Usain Bolt.

In fact, Miyazaki calls himself "Golden Bolt" -- and says he wants to challenge Usain to a race!!!

Jermaine Dupri is a HUGE fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

He's NOT a huge fan of Tim Tebow.

So, when our guy asked how Jermaine felt about the possibility of the Cowboys bringing Tim to the squad ... JD wasn't havin' it.
