Kris Humphries is willing to do whatever it takes to repair his broken marriage -- telling TMZ, "I'm committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents."

Kris adds, "I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce ... I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it work."

Kim Kardashian filed for divorce Monday morning, after 72 days of not-so-wedded bliss to Kris Humphries ... TMZ has learned, and now we have the documents.

We're told even though the marriage was short, she is not seeking an annulment. It's a garden variety divorce, in which Kim cites "irreconcilable differences."

The date of separation is listed as today, Oct. 31, 2011. According to the docs, Kim wants Kris to foot his own lawyers' fees and she'll pay hers. And, she wants the court to reject any move by Kris to get spousal support.

And, the docs list the length of the marriage as a measly 2 months.

Kim has hired disso-queen Laura Wasser, who has repped the likes of Britney Spears, Maria Shriver, Angelina Jolie, Ryan Reynolds, and Robyn Gibson, Mel's almost ex-wife.

As we first reported, the couple has a prenuptial agreement ... Kim made sure of that.

Rumors of a split had been swirling for some time and the two were spotted out to dinner last week ... looking less than pleased with one another.

The couple was married on August 20 in a lavish ceremony (see below) in Montecito, CA. There are reports that the wedding cost as much as $10 mil, which means $138,888 for every day until today.

Kim Kardashian still insists she was in it for the long haul with Kris Humphries before filing for divorce -- claiming, "I had hoped this marriage was forever."

Kim just released a statement on the split -- saying, "After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision."

Kim adds, "I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don't work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best."

12:10 PM: Khloe just released her own statement on Twitter, claiming the family has been getting hate mail after news broke of Kim's divorce ... writing, "Reading some these comments r so hurtful. Im grateful 4our fans who understand & r being respectful. Hate is disgusting. Love is everything."

Kris Humphries desperately tried to save his marriage to Kim Kardashian, because he's telling friends ... he doesn't believe in divorce.

Kris, who's a religious guy, is telling friends he and Kim discussed the possibility of divorce, but he believed they could work their problems out.

We're told Kris didn't know Kim was actually filing legal papers until this morning.

And, Kris is telling friends ... the stories that he was cheating on Kim are B.S. We're told Kris is "bummed."

The people closest to Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries circled the wagons to convince the media everything was A-OK with the former couple ... lying to the media just days before Kim filed for divorce.

Khloe Kardashian was out shopping in L.A. Friday, when she told photogs the rumors about a possible Kim-Kris break-up weren't true -- insisting, "Don't believe anything."

Same thing from Kris' sister, Kaela, last Thursday ... who also tried to convince the cameras everything was hunky dorey (below).

Kim Kardashian will never, ever move to Minnesota ... everyone knows that ... except Kris Humphries.

Sources close to the former couple tell TMZ ... one of the main points of contention in the marriage was where the couple would live after all of the wedding madness finally died down.

We're told Kris was passionate about eventually settling down in Minnesota, where he's from ... and believed Kim was on board with the plan. She wasn't.

Sources tell us Kim -- who's from L.A. -- wants to stay near her family ... and she also feels that staying in town is the best thing for her career.

So why didn't this conversation come up before the $10 million wedding? We're told the two talked about their future ... but got caught up in the hooplah and figured they would simply figure it out after they tied the knot.

Sources say it's not a nasty break-up ... but we're told the two have come to a realization that it's not a long-term fit.

Times are tough for Terrell Owens -- so much so the currently former NFL star is asking a judge to lower his child support payments ... TMZ has learned.

Owens, who is currently not an NFL roster, wants to reduce the payments he's making for a son he shares with baby mama Monique Reynolds ... because, according to his rep, he's simply not getting paid these days.

The rep says Owens wants to make the payments a little more reasonable, adding, "His child support payments should mirror his income today and not be based on his income from over four years ago."

Owens was due in court in Northern California for a child support modification hearing on October 24, but didn't show up. His rep says his lawyers tried to reschedule, but lawyers for Reynolds refused.

T.O.'s audition for prospective NFL teams -- the one nobody showed up to -- was the next day.

Kim Kardashian's husband claims he was bilked out of hundreds of thousands of dollars by a guy he invited to his wedding ... a guy who's been arrested for allegedly running a $1.7 million investment scam.

Andrey C. Hicks was a guest at Kim and Kris Humphries televised wedding bonanza in August ... and sat right behind the happy couple during the rehearsal dinner.

But TMZ has learned ... after the wedding, Kris learned Andrey was a target in a federal investigation in which he's suspected of raising money for a purported billion dollar hedge fund ... that didn't really exist.

Officials believe Andrey lied to several investors -- including Kris -- telling them, among other things, that he was a Harvard graduate ... when in fact, he was kicked out of the University after 3 semesters for crappy grades. Officials say Andrey only took 1 math class at Harvard ... and got a D-.

Officials claim 27-year-old Hicks stole $1.7 million from various investors ... and sources close to Kris tell us the NBA star accounted for hundreds of thousands of dollars himself.

Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis died from a broken heart ... this according to his death certificate obtained by TMZ.

The document reveals three primary causes of death:

A) Ventricular fibrillation -- a dangerously abnormal heart rhythm
B) Congestive heart failure
C) Cardiomyopathy -- heart muscle disease

According to the death certificate, Al died at the Oakland Airport Hilton at 2:45 AM on October 8th.

The document shows Al had been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy years ago ... and suffered a ventricular fibrillation just 15 minutes before his death. Davis also suffered from Merkel cell carcinoma -- an aggressive form of skin cancer.

According to the doc, Davis -- who was involved with the NFL for 60 years -- underwent throat surgery just three days before his death. Davis also had heart surgery in 1996.

Terrell Owens claims his assistant was WRONG when she told a 911 operator that he tried to commit suicide on Oct. 6 ... this according to a statement from his publicist.

T.O.'s rep, Diana Bianchini, tells TMZ ..."Terrell Owens absolutely did not attempt suicide nor did he attempt to overdose on pills on Oct. 6, 2011."

"The facts are that [T.O.'s assistant] arrived at his home that evening after he had already taken a sleeping aid to fall asleep. He was unresponsive because of this."

"Unaware he had taken a sleeping aid prior to her arrival, his assistant became concerned and decided to call 911."

TMZ has obtained the 911 call placed moments before Terrell Owens was rushed to an L.A. hospital for a possible pill overdose on October 6 -- and according to Terrell's assistant, T.O. was trying to kill himself.

During the call, placed at 11:02 PM, the dispatcher asks the assistant on the phone, "Was this a suicide attempt?" -- and she responds, "Yes, I believe so."

While she was on the phone with the dispatcher, the woman claims T.O. was "talking to his girlfriend, ex-girlfriend ... [I]don't really know what you wanna call it."

T.O.'s rep declined to comment.

T.O. was famously hospitalized back in 2006 for a similar incident -- when he insisted he had a bad reaction to painkillers ... despite reports he tried to commit suicide by swallowing 35 Vicodin pills.

T.O. later held a news conference on the matter and stated, "The rumor of me taking 35 pills, I think is absurd. I don't think I would be here if I had taken 35 pills."

Victor Ortiz -- the guy who Floyd Mayweather sucker punched in a championship bout last month -- already has plans for a massive comeback ... in the gut-busting world of Mexican food.

Victor tells TMZ, he's planning to invest a portion of his $2 million fight earnings in a chain of taco restaurants in L.A. -- and he hit the streets yesterday to scope out some possible locations.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is off the hook for allegedly threatening two security guards in his gated Las Vegas community -- a judge just found him not guilty .

Floyd was accused of going ballistic on the guards after they left parking tickets on a couple of cars near his home last fall. He allegedly said -- among other things -- "My homies have guns."

Like a 13-year-old Mike Singletary ... Paris Jackson was a focused instrument of destruction as a linebacker during a flag football game in L.A. yesterday.

Jackson -- who's the very first female in the history of her private school to join the squad -- also played a little offensive line ... and got STRAIGHT UP PHYSICAL with the boys, throwing some pretty aggressive blocks.

But Paris wasn't the only celebu-spawn on the gridiron ... Oksana Grigorieva and Timothy Dalton were standing on the sidelines to support their son, Alexander, who's also on PJ's team.

Jackson's school emerged victorious ... and after the game, she tweeted about it ... saying, "We Won 32-6!!!!!!!! Yeahhh Boiiiiii!"

Terrell Owens just completed his "Please give me an NFL contract" workout at Calabasas High School ... running drills and catching passes, without the restrictions of a shirt.

Former NFL receivers Jerry Rice and Keyshawn Johnson were on hand ... and didn't hold back their true feelings about the workout -- they weren't very impressed.
