It all went down Thursday morning on the College of the Canyons campus in north L.A. -- several stuntmen were supposed to rappel from a hovering helicopter ... but one man lost control of his harness, and SLAMMED into the ground.

Sources connected with production tell TMZ, paramedics rushed to the scene and treated the stuntman for a broken ankle ... before transporting him to a nearby hospital.

The commercial features NBA stars Amar'e Stoudemire, Blake Griffin, Rajon Rondo, and Arizona Cardinals' wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. The men on the helicopter are the athletes' stunt doubles ... and the guy who was injured was standing in for Stoudemire.

Shaq's former pal Robert Ross -- an ex-gang member -- is suing O'Neal for allegedly masterminding a plot to have him kidnapped by other gang members back in 2008.

In the documents, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, Ross claims O'Neal organized and funded a series of murders and brutal attacks on people who did him wrong.

In the suit, Ross alleges, "For many years O'Neal requested and directed [Ross] to perform many personal favors and directed him to perform various tasks including, but not limited to: ordering [Ross] to kill a member of the Downtown Gangster Crips who had disrespected O'Neal in front of his wife Shaunie."

O'Neal is also accused of issuing "an order to kill a woman whom O'Neal had impregnated and paid for her abortion" and "an order to kill a renown record producer."

Ross also alleges that O'Neal issued "an order to break an NBA player's shooting arm."

Ross -- who never says whether the alleged hits were carried out -- is suing for unspecified damages.

Shaq's lawyer, Michael J. Kump, tells TMZ ... "The outlandish claims by Robert Ross in his civil complaint are pure fiction. Shaquille O'Neal befriended Mr. Ross in an attempt to help turn his life around. Sadly, Mr. Ross abused that friendship again and again.

According to legal docs filed in the Delaware bankruptcy case, the Dodgers solicited a $150 million loan from Highbridge Capital Management -- an investment management company.

MLB objected to the loan, partly because there were strings attached -- specifically, liens on the Dodgers' assets.

According to the docs, MLB has now offered to make the $150 million loan itself, with more favorable terms -- notably an interest rate that is 3% less than Highbridge is offering, and there would be no liens attached.

The guy is Jamie Dingman, a New York marketing exec.

A Swedish photo agency came to TMZ with what they said was a photo of the two, kissing and hugging outside Elin's apartment in Sweden. TMZ has seen the photo -- but the agency decided it wanted to hold it ... at least for now.

Jamie's dad, Michael Dingman, is a very wealthy investor. Jamie specialized in Russian private equity funds and he also owned an Indy car-racing team.

He reportedly dated Bridget Moynahan, Tom Brady's baby mama. He was also linked to Princess Madeleine of Sweden, but the New York Post says they were just friends. It does, however, provide a Swedish connection.

The photos have appeared on a Swedish website Expressen.tv as part of a video package. Good luck translating.

Irvin -- a five-time Pro Bowler -- is one of the most high-profile athletes ever to speak out in favor of gay rights, telling Out Magazine recently that he's on a mission from God to defend homosexuality.

Irvin's reason for speaking out -- his gay older brother Vaughn, who died from stomach cancer in 2006.

TMZ has obtained Sugar Shane's divorce settlement documents and -- if you've been divorced -- we're betting his is a lot different.

The settlement provides that ex-wife Jin "shall maintain custody and control of three championship belts for each of the respective parties' three minor children." Each of the kids get a belt when they turn 18.

And Jin will get half of Sugar Shane's cut of profits from videotapes and DVDs of his big fights, including bouts with Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto and Fernando Vargas.

Since the divorce was filed in California and community property rules apply, Jin gets half of Sugar Shane's fight purses during their marriage. But luckily for Sugar, his big fight against Manny Pacquiao was held after the couple separated, so his $3 mil is his alone.

A rep for Element Skateboards -- Muska's sponsor since 2006 -- tells TMZ, "There is a major difference between n**ga and n***** and it's totally obvious he is not being racial at all."

The rep goes on to say Chad has Element's full support.

As TMZ first reported, the legendary pro skateboarder was busted for felony vandalism on Hollywood Boulevard early Thursday morning -- and repeatedly spewed the slur during his arrest.

As for the alleged vandalism -- the rep says it was a mistake ... "especially in front of security guards."

Shaq announced he signed a multi-year deal with Turner Sports -- and will sit alongside Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson to cover NBA regular season and playoff games on TNT, NBA TV and NBA.com.

Of course, Shaq released a video statement online -- saying, "I know you heard the big announcement, about to join TNT. Ernie, Kenny, Charles! I'll be seeing you soon! Get ready ... commentatin' and all."

Vonn -- who won Best Female Athlete at the event -- posed with her trophy .... and her ESPY award backstage ... and then posted it to her FB page with the caption, "I finally got my Justin Bieber pic!"

Bieber ... such a pleaser.

U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton made the call after just one day of testimony -- scheduling a hearing on September 2 to decide if there will be a new trial.

Here's what happened that triggered the mistrial. A video screen was left on while the lawyers had a private conversation with the judge. The screen displayed comments from Congressman Elijah Cummings at a House hearing, in which Cummings seemed to indicate Clemens was lying when he denied using HGH or steroids.

Muska was first detained by security at the Roosevelt Hotel around 2AM. Law enforcement sources tell us Muska was seen spray painting his name on a nearby Coffee Bean.

While security guards waited for LAPD officers to arrive -- Muska demanded the guards let him go, and called them "ni**as" several times ... including one instance in which he said, "Fu** all these ni**as right here."

LAPD eventually showed up and arrested and booked Muska for felony vandalism -- and our sources say Muska had tagging materials on him when he was arrested.

We got shots of Muska's alleged handiwork at the coffee shop -- "Muska"' -- and also at Hollywood's El Capitan Theater ... "Muska kills."

The guy behind the 2,200 sq. foot compound is "Etnies" skate shoe mogul Pierre-André Senizergues -- a 48-year-old former pro boarder turned clothing mogul.

P.A.S. wants every single wall to be shaped like a skate ramp ... and put grindable rails on anything with a hard edge ... from the kitchen sink to the dining room table ... even the sofa.

Harrison -- the 2008 Defensive Player of the Year -- unloaded in a brand new interview with Men's Journal -- adding, "I hate [Goodell] and will never respect him." Harrison also calls Goodell an anti-gay slur, a "crook," a "devil," a "puppet," and a "dictator."

Goodell famously fined Harrison $100,000 for illegal hits last fall -- making Harrison one of the most heavily-fined players ever in a single season.
