WWE Star Kevin Nash -- Cleared After Battery Arrest

Published | Updated

WWE legend Kevin Nash is in the clear ... TMZ has learned -- after cops arrested him in Florida recently for allegedly laying the smackdown on some drunk guy ... for hitting on his wife.

According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, Big Sexy and his lady were leaving a restaurant after dinner, when a man approached Nash's wife and began chatting her up.

According to the report, Nash's wife told the guy to buzz off ... but he got aggressive -- so Nash stepped in and dropped him.

Nash held the man down until police arrived -- but in a cruel twist of fate, he ended up getting arrested himself on suspicion of battery, a charge that was eventually dropped due to lack of evidence.

Nash tells TMZ, he never should have been arrested -- and if he wanted to sue, he'd have a good case in court, adding, "I'm a 52-year-old fake fighter. My hands aren't deadly weapons."

Lenny Dykstra -- No Luck with Bail, Still Stuck in Jail

Published | Updated

Lenny Dykstra struck out again -- because TMZ has learned, the judge refused to lower his $500,000 bail and the Hollywood producer that was supposed to bail him out didn't have enough cash on hand to cover the bill.

As we previously reported, producer Jonathan Heap showed up to court today in L.A. -- where he expected the judge to lower Lenny's bail amount -- but the judge refused to budge ... demanding the full $500,000 to spring Lenny from the pokey.

We're told Heap was banking on the judge to lower his number, and didn't bring enough cash to cover the $50,000 bail premium -- 10% of the full bail amount.

Heap tells TMZ, he's still committed to freeing Lenny -- and will come up with the extra cash this weekend ... to bail out Lenny next week.

Fingers crossed.

Andy Irons' Death -- Drugs Contributed

Published | Updated

Andy Irons did die from heart disease -- as his family announced yesterday -- but methadone and cocaine also played a part in the surfing champion's death ... according to the official autopsy report.

According to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's report, "The primary and underlying cause of death is ischemic heart disease due to coronary artery pathology."

The report lists the manner of death as, "Natural."

However, the report continues, "Drugs ... particularly, methadone and cocaine, are other significant conditions contributing to death but not resulting in the underlying cause."

Hollywood Producer: I'm Bailing Out Lenny Dykstra

Published | Updated

For the first time in forever, it's Lenny Dykstra's lucky day -- because a Hollywood producer has agreed to post his bail ... after the MLB legend was booked on 23 felony charges this week.

Producer Jonathan Heap tells TMZ, he is willing to put up the $50,000 required to spring Lenny from the pokey -- because "everyone deserves a second chance."

As we previously reported, Lenny's people have been scrambling to come up with $50,000 -- 10% of the $500,000 bail price -- hitting up Lenny's famous friends for a handout ... but they haven't had any luck, until today.

Shocker -- Heap is also currently producing a movie based on Lenny's life.

But Heap might also luck out -- because Lenny's currently standing in front of a judge, asking to reduce his bail amount ... in which case, Heap could score a discount.

Lenny Dykstra -- No More Help From Charlie Sheen

Published | Updated

Financial disaster Lenny Dykstra is on a mission to raise enough cash to post bail -- hitting up Charlie Sheen and a bunch of other rich people he knows -- but so far, he's striking out big-time.

Sources connected to the former MLB great tell TMZ ... Lenny's people are scrambling behind the scenes to come up with $50,000 -- 10% of the $500,000 bail price -- so they can spring Lenny from an L.A. jail where he's been stewing since he was booked on 23 felony charges earlier this week.

We're told Dykstra's right-hand guy tried to set up a meeting with Lenny's pal Charlie Sheen -- who helped bail Lenny out of jail earlier this year -- but Charlie's assistant turned him away.

Lenny's people then approached two wealthy members of the Philadelphia sports community -- but they weren't willing to fork over any cash either.

Since they can't score a check, Lenny's people are now toying with the idea of throwing a celebrity fundraiser -- in the hopes some of Dykstra's friends like Darryl Strawberry, Dwight Gooden and Sheen will donate their time for the cause.

Meantime, Dykstra is scheduled to go in front of a judge today -- where he's expected to ask for a reduction in bail ... but with Lenny's history of legal trouble, we're guessing it ain't gonna happen.

Conflict Over Surfer's Death

Published | Updated

The family of surfing legend Andy Irons is adamant the former world champ died as a result of complications from heart disease -- and nothing else -- however, the official autopsy report shows drugs were a factor.

Seven months after Irons died in a Dallas hotel room, Andy's family released a statement today explaining Irons died from a heart attack caused by the hardening of his coronary arteries. The family says they spoke with a prominent forensic pathologist who explained Irons had a genetic predisposition to early development of heart disease ... which was SOLELY responsible for the heart attack.

However, the toxicology report and the autopsy from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner note a second cause of death -- "acute mixed drug ingestion."

Kim K to Lockett: Shut Up and Take it Back, Or Else!

Published | Updated

Kim Kardashian is ballistic over Bret Lockett -- aka Tom Brady's teammate -- and if he doesn't admit he lied when he said he had an affair with her, she's hauling his big ass into court.

Kardashian has fired off a new demand letter to Lockett, obtained by TMZ, which warns him if he doesn't retract his allegations and cease from making fresh ones, his new position will be defendant on the left side of the courtroom.

Lockett went on TMZ Live Wednesday and insisted he did indeed have an online and physical relationship with Kim this year, at the same time she was dating now-fiance Kris Humphries.

In the letter, Kim's lawyer, Michael Kump, says, "To put it very plainly and clearly, and as Mr. Lockett knows, there is not now, and never has been such a relationship," adding, "Ms. Kardashian does not know and has never even met Mr. Lockett."

Lockett told us he has physical evidence proving the relationship, but he evaded questions on specifics.

Heat Fans -- Dropping VOODOO Curse on the Mavs

Published | Updated

Miami Heat fans are seeking some old-fashioned voodoo vengeance on the Dallas Mavericks, TMZ has learned -- buying up voodoo dolls by the HUNDREDS ... to curse the Mavs during the NBA finals.

They're selling out like hot cakes ... but the owner of El Viejo Lazaro Botanica -- which hocks all sorts of bizarre religious supplies, including voodoo stuff -- tells TMZ, he has no idea which Mavs are being targeted by the hexes.

If they're not buying voodoo dolls, we're told Miami fans are turning to herbal remedies -- buying what are called "Paraiso" herbs to use in a bath.

According to the owner, you put the herbs in a bath, get in, then visualize what you want to happen -- in this case, a Miami Heat victory.

Lucky for the Heat, they probably won't need the extra help.
