Norm Macdonald $25,000 Bet on Manny Pacquiao
Norm Macdonald is so confident Manny Pacquiao will DEFEAT Sugar Shane Mosley this weekend ... he went to Vegas and threw down a $25,000 bet on the Fighting Pride of the Philippines.
Macdonald made the bet at the sports book for the Wynn/ Encore hotels on April 29 -- and showed off the betting ticket on last night's "Sport's Show with Norm Macdonald." But Norm isn't getting the best odds.
Manny is such a HUGE favorite ... Norm's $25k bet will only pay off $3,125 if Pacquiao wins the fight.
But if Manny loses, Norm's out $25k.
Good bet??

NFL Star Chris Johnson -- Why Are The Cops Here?
Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson got a knock on his door from the cops yesterday ... and according to the NFL star, it all went down because he's, "Young, black and rich."
TMZ has confirmed ... the Orlando Police Department got an anonymous "non-specific" tip about high-end cars entering and exiting Johnson's condo complex yesterday afternoon.
We're told cops performed a "knock and talk" at Johnson's Florida residence to follow up on the tip. When cops arrived to Johnson's home, he was "cooperative" and "cordial" -- and in the middle of a shoot for a TV project.
Law enforcement tells us they checked out the scene -- and determined there was absolutely nothing illegal about the situation ... and left without incident.
Moments after cops walked out the door, Johnson tweeted, "Y did the police just walk in my condo saying they think it's drug activity because it's alot of traffic but it was the MTV camera crew."

The man who once donned the mask of Mankind -- wrestling legend Mick Foley -- is now auctioning off one of the most ICONIC pieces of pro wrestling history ... MR. SOCKO ... and he's doing it all for charity.
You might recognize it -- it's the same Mr. Socko Mankind infamously used to ensnare The Rock back in 1998 ... securing his first WWF championship title. Yes, it was WWF back then.
And that's just the beginning -- Mick's also selling off his original Mankind sleeveless shirt, the elastic wristband he used to execute THE MANDIBLE CLAW ... and the bloody rags he wore when he faced Ric Flair last year ... possibly Mick's last match ever.
The auction's going live today ... and it's all to benefit Mick's charity -- the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network.

Gordon Ramsay SNUBS Dodgers for NBA Playoffs
"Hell's Kitchen" star Gordon Ramsay DISSED the Los Angeles Dodgers yesterday -- because after he threw out the first pitch -- he LEFT THE GAME -- so he could sit courtside to watch the Lakers.
At 6:55 PM, Ramsay threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Dodger Stadium ... but by 7:50 PM ... he was sitting on the floor at Staples Center next to David Beckham ... to watch the Lakers take on the Dallas Mavericks.
So Gordon had a 55 minute window to get from the pitcher's mound ... into his seat at Staples Center. Let's do the math ...
If it took 15 mins to get out of the stadium ... 15 to drive over to Staples ... and another 10 to get to his seat ... that means he spent a grand total of 15 minutes INSIDE Dodger Stadium ... putting his exit time at 7:10 ... right when the game was scheduled to begin.
Which means ... dude probably cut out before the REAL first pitch.

Atlanta Braves Coach Fined, Suspended by MLB
Roger McDowell -- the Atlanta Braves pitching coach who allegedly hurled gay slurs at a group of fans earlier last weekend -- was suspended today by Major League Baseball.
McDowell's suspension will last two weeks, during which time he will not be paid. He was also fined an undisclosed amount of money. Commissioner Bud Selig said in a statement Sunday, "Conduct by people associated with MLB that shows insensitivity to others simply cannot and will not be tolerated."
Superstar attorney Gloria Allred, who is representing Mr. Quinn, tells TMZ, "The fact that Coach McDowell will be subjected to an unprecedented two-week suspension, be required to take sensitivity training and be fined, demonstrates that Major League Baseball believes that homophobic slurs, sexually lewd conduct and threatening behavior by Coaches or any other person employed at a game in the Major League will not be tolerated."
For his part, Justin Quinn tells us, "I am pleased to see Major League Baseball imposing discipline on Coach McDowell for his actions. I love baseball dearly and my family and I are now looking forward to getting back to the ballpark for another game."
As we previously reported, a family of four -- including two 9-year-old girls -- went public with their accusations this week ... claiming McDowell made several homophobic remarks toward fans at AT&T Park ... and then mockingly proceeded to simulate gay sex with a baseball bat.

Atlanta Braves Coach Placed on 'Administrative Leave'
Atlanta Braves pitching coach Roger McDowell has been placed on "administrative leave" -- after he allegedly hurled several gay slurs at male fans during a game in San Francisco last weekend.
As we previously reported, a family of four -- including two 9-year-old girls -- went public with their accusations this week ... claiming McDowell made several homophobic remarks toward fans at AT&T Park ... and then mockingly proceeded to simulate gay sex with a baseball bat.
The father of the family claims he confronted McDowell -- who allegedly responded by approaching him with the bat, and saying, "How much are your teeth worth?"
McDowell has since apologized for the outburst -- but the Braves have suspended his coaching duties pending an investigation into the allegations.
UPDATE: GLAAD President Jarrett Barrios just released a statement, telling TMZ, “It remains to be seen whether the Atlanta Braves will take real disciplinary action and send a clear message that there is no place for anti-gay remarks or violent threats in baseball."
