City officials have finally taken action, ordering some quick changes in the apartment complex -- in particular, the gnarly pool that started to resemble the La Brea Tar Pits.
We got pics of the progress -- one of the pools has now been drained and the other is still a work in progress.
There have been numerous other complaints from tenants, including holes in walls, rusty pipes, and overflowing trash. Several tenants say everyone responsible seemed to step it up after we posted the story last week.

Gay Wrestling League FURIOUS at WWE Star
The champion of the Pro Gay Wrestling Federation is OUTRAGED that WWE announcer Michael Cole has not been suspended for posting a homophobic slur on Twitter ... TMZ has learned.
First off ... yes, there is a Pro Gay Wrestling Federation.
Secondly, we spoke with PGW champion -- The Gay Avenger -- who tells us he's upset by Cole's "intolerant and insensitive" comment ... and insists the word encourages a "hostile bullying environment."
PGW founder and CEO Francis Minks adds, "How can ANYONE at the WWE say anything derogatory about gay people?? Look at what they do and have been doing for a living for years! Big muscles, small tights rolling around! I'm just saying, honey."
Minks adds, "People in glass houses shouldn't throw sconces!"
Cole has since issued an apology for using the slur ... and the WWE says Cole will take part in a GLAAD training session in an effort to educate him about the perils of discrimination.
The Avenger -- along with several other wrestlers -- tell us they're upset Cole did not get a harsher punishment.

UFC Fighter Takes Shot to the Head ... Via Beer Bong
We're pretty sure funneling a beer on the beach in Lake Havasu does not help you in the octagon, but if it does ... UFC star Clay Guida is about to go on a winning streak.
Guida was there for Spring Break earlier this month, where he was hosting a party at a bar called Kokomo's. We're told the crowd cheered Guida on and he obliged by doing a beer bong with a few fans.
He doesn't look like a lightweight to us.

Rapper, NFL Star Busted Separately in Louisiana

He was popped and released on a misdemeanor summons.
Now for Peters ... he was busted for a loud music violation and resisting an officer after cops asked him to turn down the music in his car and he refused. Police tell us they asked Peters for his ID several times, but he refused that too. Poor choice.
According to reports, Ross was in town to perform at a nightclub and Peters was one of the celebrity guests. Good times.

WWE Announcer Tweets Gay Slur, Deletes It
Less than two weeks after the WWE and GLAAD teamed up to say they were going to work together to curb homophobic slurs in wrestling, one of the WWE's top announcers tweeted one at a fellow announcer.
Earlier today, Michael Cole simply tweeted one disgusting word towards fellow announcer Josh Mathews. Cole quickly took down the tweet and apologized, posting:
The WWE and GLAAD announced a partnership on March 17 to try and put an end to bullying based on sexual orientation after a series of homophobic taunts was made by wrestler John Cena.
WWE said at the time: "WWE takes this issue very seriously, and has already spoken with our talent about these incidents. We are taking steps and working with GLAAD to ensure that our fans know that WWE is against bullying or discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation."
A rep for the WWE tells TMZ, "WWE has alerted GLAAD to the situation and spoken to Michael Cole about his post. He has removed it and apologized for using hateful language. Michael will be included in the training session being done by GLAAD. WWE takes this very seriously and is against discrimination of any kind based on sexual orientation, gender, race, religion or other."
A rep for GLAAD could not be reached for comment.

Charlie Gets $$$ Advice From Lenny Dykstra ... Really?
If you needed someone to drive you somewhere, would you pick the guy who crashed his car into a tree the week before? Of course not ... so why then did Charlie Sheen enlist financial help from bankrupt former baseball star Lenny Dykstra?
According to real estate records, Sheen closed Friday on a $7 million house located in the exclusive Mulholland Estates ... near where he lives now.
Sources close to Sheen tell TMZ ... when it came to getting financing, he asked none other than Lenny Dykstra for help. Lenny worked as Charlie's middleman to secure a loan.
Remember ... Lenny filed for bankruptcy in 2009 after declaring he was between $10 million and $50 million in debt.
And ironically ... Lenny's $17.5 million home went into foreclosure. His Rolls Royce and jet got repossessed, etc. etc.
Oh yeah, it got so bad, one of his creditors tried to repo his dog.

Strahan: Ochocinco WON'T Make Pro Soccer Team
NFL legend MIchael Strahan thinks Chad Ochocinco's attempt to join a pro MLS soccer club is way out of his league ... saying flat-out, "I don't think he's gonna make the team."
Ochocinco was supposed to finish his NFL lockout inspired 4-day trial with Sporting Kansas City tomorrow -- but he's been asked to stick around until Monday so he can participate in their reserve game.
After that ... it's pretty much curtains ... a certainty even SKC's coach is preaching.
But Strahan doesn't think it's all for naught ... saying, "[SKC] know what they're doing. Give [Chad] a chance and get a little bit out of him at the same time."
Good publicity ... that's something OCHOCINCO knows a thing or two about.

Mike Vick Dissed By Former High School ... Again!
Michael Vick's former high school has REFUSED to re-hang the NFL star's framed prep football jersey in their hallway ... despite a spirited student-initiated campaign ... TMZ has learned.
Vick's jersey had been on display in the hallway at Warwick High in Newport News, VA until 2007 ... when he was busted for that whole dogfighting ring. However, after Vick's incredible NFL comeback this past season, hundreds of students rallied to get administrators to forgive Vick and re-hang his old #7.
But school officials have made their decision -- telling TMZ the jersey will NOT be returned on display for the remainder of the year.
Officials tell us they believe the jersey would be a "distraction to the student's education" ... plus, faculty members are concerned the jersey could be vandalized or stolen.
We're told the decision is not set in stone -- and school officials tell us they may consider returning the jersey to a place of honor sometime in the future.
