V. Stiviano -- who is currently under investigation for extortion -- is no stranger to the criminal justice system. She's been arrested for at least 4 crimes and has used 5 aliases, and she's a true chameleon, changing her race from crime to crime.

2002 -- Stiviano was arrested by LAPD for petty theft. The official documents -- obtained by TMZ -- show she was a 5'4" 128 lb Hispanic woman named Vanessa Maria Perez. She was convicted and placed on probation.

2004 -- Stiviano was arrested by Santa Monica PD for another petty theft and felony burglary. Her name was Vanessa Maria Perez (same as the first) but this time she's taller and thinner -- a 5'8" 115 lb Hispanic woman.

2010 -- Stiviano was arrested by LAPD for possession of a controlled substance -- a felony. This time she's Vanessa Maria Perez again, but she's black, weighing in at 5'7" and 125 lbs.

2012 -- Stiviano was busted by CHP for DUI. This time she was booked as Monica Gallegos, a 5'7" 110 lb black woman. We don't know the disposition.

In addition to Vanness Maria Perez and Monica Gallegos, court records show she also used the names Maria Valdez, Maria Vanessa Perez and Mariamonica Perez Gallegos. She's currently going by V. Stiviano.

V. Stiviano is under criminal investigation for allegedly extorting Donald Sterling by demanding money in return for keeping more audio recordings secret ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... a senior investigator for the L.A. County D.A.'s Bureau of Investigation contacted Shelly Sterling Tuesday ... asking for an interview in connection with the extortion investigation.

Donald Sterling gave an interview last week ... telling a magazine, "I wish I had just paid her off."

TMZ Sports first reported ... Stiviano claims to have 100 plus hours of recordings of conversations between her and Sterling.

Stiviano's people told us a week ago ... Sterling called her after we posted the audio ... asking her, "How can we make this go away?" We have since learned it was NOT Sterling who initiated the call -- it was Stiviano.

And we've learned the investigation is also focusing on whether Stiviano illegally recorded Sterling ... recording private conversations without the consent of all parties is a crime in California.

NFL hopeful Michael Sam has some powerful friends in his corner -- including Hall fo Famer Michael Irvin who says he's pulling hard for a team to make Sam the first openly gay player to be drafted into the league.

Irvin just posted a photo with the linebacker -- saying, "The guy I am pulling for the most in this #draft is @mikesamfootball all the best buddy. Thanks for being you!"

Despite being the SEC Defensive Player of the Year, experts are saying there's a very real chance the 24-year-old will NOT get drafted this week ... in part, due to his unimpressive showing at the NFL Combine. Also, there's talk teams are still afraid to draft an openly gay player.

They've only been on sale for 2 DAYS ... but the NBA tells TMZ Sports the "We Are One" shirts in support of the L.A. Clippers have already become the NUMBER ONE selling item in the NBA shop.

The league began selling the shirts on Sunday May 3rd ... with all proceeds going toward anti-discrimination and tolerance organizations.

Of course, the league adopted the "We Are One" slogan after Clippers coach Doc Rivers wrote the words on a team white board in the locker room to rally the Clips in the wake of Donald Sterling's racist comments.

The league has also used the slogan in NBA commercials.

Former Olympic ice skater Oksana Baiul didn't just lose her lawsuit against her former agents -- she was practically laughed out of court ... with the judge calling her case frivolous and "bizarre."

Baiul had sued the William Morris Agency (now WME) ... claiming they locked her into a series of contracts back in 1994 when she was 16-years-old and didn't speak English good.

She demanded more than $1 MILLION in lost earnings and other damages -- though William Morris claimed it did nothing wrong.

Now, a judge has sided with the agency ... and in her brutally honest opinion in the case, wrote ... "The suit is frivolous and frankly, bizarre."

He faced up to a year in jail, but former Minnesota Vikings linebacker Erin Henderson won't spend another day behind bars -- after cutting a deal with prosecutors for his second DWI arrest in 2 months.

Henderson was cut by the Vikings after he was arrested on New Year's Day -- 6 weeks after he was busted for allegedly driving around Minnesota while hammered.

Because it's his 2nd DWI arrest, there was a real chance Henderson could have faced the maximum punishment -- 1 year in the slammer.

But TMZ Sports has learned .. the 27-year-old struck a plea deal in which he agreed to plead guilty to 1 count of DWI and in exchange he was sentenced to 2 years probation and time already served in jail (2 days).

He was also fined $1,120.

Dr. Dre FELL IN LOVE with Tom Brady's mega-mansion in L.A. -- and put an offer to buy the house almost immediately after it hit the market back in March ... TMZ Sports has learned.

We broke the story ... Tom and Gisele listed the 18,700 sq. ft. Brentwood estate they custom built from the ground up for $50 MILLION after barely spending any time living in the place.

We're told there were "multiple interested parties ready to put offers on the house" ... but Dre swooped in with a solid offer first ... and T&G decided to sell to the Doc.

Sources tell us the deal has not yet closed -- but it's close.

Tom and Gisele were offering the house fully furnished ... but sources tell us Dre has his own stuff he wants to put in the house -- and has chosen to pass on all of the stuff the Bradys spent years collecting from various trips around the world.

As for Dre's finances, he was recently listed in Forbes richest hip hop stars with an approximate net worth of $550 MILLION.

Snowboarding season is OVER ... it's time for BIKINI season -- at least according to Team USA gold medalist Jamie Anderson ... who flaunted her world-champion physique in Vegas this week.

Anderson -- who won gold in the slope-style event in Sochi -- hit up the Azure Luxury Pool at Palazzo hotel ... along with fellow gold-medalist Kaitlyn Farrington (she won gold in the half pipe).

The L.A. Clippers got out super cheap in a war with some of their fans -- settling a $5 MILLION lawsuit by throwing around some cheap tickets in the nosebleed section ... TMZ Sports has learned

We broke the story ... the Clips were sued by Ari Friedman who claims the team spammed his cell phone after he participated in an interactive text message game during a Clippers game at Staples Center last year.

In a class action suit, Friedman demanded $5 million in damages claiming the team had promised he wouldn't get return texts.

The team adamantly denies any wrongdoing, but we've learned the two sides have agreed on a deal that's gonna cost the Clips WAYYYYYYY less than $5 mil.

Each person in the class will get their choice of ...
A) two tickets to a designated home game (in the nosebleed section) ... or
B) one ticket and a $20 dollar voucher to the team store.

Choose wisely.

For his troubles, the Clippers also threw Friedman an extra $1,000.
