NHL Star Tyler Seguin Buys Dallas Mansion from NHL Hall of Famer
If you wanna be a Hall of Famer, you gotta LIVE like a Hall of Famer ... and for Dallas Stars phenom Tyler Seguin, that means BUYING an NHL Hall of Famer's mansion!
TMZ Sports has learned ... the 22-year-old rising star just bought a huge new place in Dallas ... and the guy he bought it from is Stars legend Mike Modano!
We've learned ... Modano originally listed the place for $2.295 million ... but ultimately sold the pad for $1.925 million ... giving a $370k discount to the new face of the franchise.
The place is sick ... 7,250 square feet with a full gym, outdoor fire pit, game room with wet bar and a humidor closet ... plus, there's a putting green!
Unfortunately for Tyler, if the Stars don't get their act together against the Ducks in the playoffs ... he could be spending more time at the pad this year than he probably wanted to.
Ex-NBA Star Kenny Anderson Lamar Should Get a Shrink ... It Works For Me!
Lamar Odom should get a therapist, stat ... so says ex-NBA star Kenny Anderson who tells TMZ Sports his shrink has been a life-saver ... and it could do the trick for Lamar, too.
We spoke with Anderson -- who spent 14 seasons in the NBA -- and he told us he's rooting hard for Lamar's NBA comeback with the Knicks to be a success ... but says the guy is gonna need help.
"I talk to a therapist once a week," Anderson says ... "Lamar should do that. His mind has to be right."
"You need someone you can talk to who has no hidden agenda. Your mom, dad, brother, sister might not want to tell you the truth. My therapist doesn't care, she tells me how it is."
Anderson also says he doesn't care if people judge him for going to a therapist -- because at the end of the day, he knows it's effective.
"I don't care if people think it's manly or not. I wanna have a good life."
As for Odom, Anderson says there's one major issue he needs to sort out before he steps on the court -- "Does he have love for the game ... or is he just playing for a check?"
Chris Brown Trained to Fight With Boxing Champ Andre Berto
Chris Brown isn't some helpless jail inmate ... dude can FIGHT -- so says boxing champ Andre Berto who tells TMZ Sports he's trained with singer on multiple occasions.
Berto -- a 2-time welterweight champ -- was out in L.A. the other day when we asked if he had any advice for Brown, who's currently behind bars in a Virginia jail.
Turns out, the two are actually pretty good friends -- and Andre says they've trained together in the boxing gym several times over the years.
In fact, Andre says the singer has some pretty good hands when it comes to boxing -- though he doesn't think he'll have to use 'em in jail ... because he's too busy making friends!
Seriously, Andre says Chris is an "amazing guy" who just needs to work on getting his life in order.
You buyin' that?
WWE Referee Suffers Gruesome Thumb Accident ... in Saudi Arabia
A WWE referee's thumb was nearly SEVERED from his hand during a bloody incident in Saudi Arabia yesterday ... but it wasn't for stealing a falafel from the market -- he's just a klutz.
Charles Robinson was preparing the ring for a WWE event with other crew members before Friday's show in the Middle East ... when something went terribly wrong and his finger got caught in the turnbuckle.
The result ... a DEEP DEEP GASH that nearly sliced his thumb in half.
Fortunately for the ref, a WWE doc was on standby and managed to quickly stitch him back together again.
But seriously, don't steal falafel in Saudi Arabia ... that hand-cutting thing ain't a myth (proof's on YouTube).

We broke the story ... Smith was busted at LAX last weekend after allegedly telling TSA agents he had a bomb. Of course, he wasn't REALLY carrying an explosive device and was arrested on site.
For the record, Aldon has not yet been charged with a crime -- but if prosecutors do decide to go forward with a case ... he could face up to a year behind bars and a substantial fine.
But hey ... at least he can still buy a plane ticket.

Ryu took the mound for the Dodgers yesterday and led the team to victory over the Giants. After the game, Ryu said, "I thought if I could just win today and pitch well maybe it would give them a little brighter side to think about. That’s why I went out there and tried to do the best I could."

Georges St-Pierre I Want To Be a Villain!!
Georges St-Pierre may have a DARK SIDE ... 'cause the UFC legend tells TMZ Sports he has a secret desire to be a villain ... a la Darth Vader.
GSP was crutching around L.A. after undergoing surgery for a torn ACL when we started talking about his cameo in the new "Captain America" flick ... and asked him if he had any desire to play a superhero on the big screen.
St-Pierre said he's always been a huge "Star Wars" fan -- and would love to appear in one of the upcoming flicks ... but only if he can be a BAD GUY!!
He's actually got a pretty good explanation about why being evil would be way more fun ... check out the clip.
L.A. Clippers TEAM STEAK DINNER ... To Prep for the Playoffs
The team that eats together, WINS together -- at least, that's what the Clippers are hoping for because the entire squad got together for a pre-playoffs dinner last night ... and TMZ Sports has the footage.
Blake Griffin, Matt Barnes, Big Baby Davis and the rest of the squad met up at Mastro's Steakhouse in Beverly Hills ... where Barnes explained that it wasn't a celebration, but rather a preparation.
The Clips face off against the Golden State Warriors at Staples Center tomorrow for Game 1 of the first round ... we'll see if steak bonding actually pays off.
Alice Cooper I 'Really Considered' Becoming a Pro Golfer
Heavy metal god Alice Cooper says golf isn't just a hobby -- it's his obsession -- and admits that "there was a time when I really considered [turning pro]."
Cooper has a killer reputation on the links -- considered one of the best celebrity golfers alive (he even has a single-digit handicap) ... and his game is so strong, people have often suggested he could hang with the pros.
But yesterday in NYC, Cooper admitted he considered making the leap to the pro level -- but realized as good as he is, the pros are just in a "different world."
Still. Cooper says the golf talent in the celebrity world is STRONG -- and names a couple of heavy hitters you may never have guessed who are actually pretty handy with a club.
HINT -- It's the first time "Back to the Future" and "No Doubt" may ever be mentioned in the same sentence.
Smush Parker I Didn't Punch That Kid in the Face!!
Ex-L.A. Lakers player Smush Parker is adamant ... he did NOT slug a 16-year-old high school kid in the face during a pickup game in NYC this week -- claiming it was just a hard foul.
Parker has been under fire after reports surfaced that he got into it with prep star Wolfgang Novogratz last week -- and punched the kid in the face during a heated exchange.
But Parker's manager James Hunt says it's all B.S. -- claiming there WAS a hard foul between the two ... but no punch was ever thrown.
"Smush did not punch him in the face. It wasn't no assault or anything like that. It was a hard foul. He didn't hit anybody."
In fact, Parker believes the kid's father -- who happens to be the host of the HGTV show "House By Novogratz" -- is intentionally trying to blow the incident out of proportion to get some publicity for his son.
"The kid's father is trying to use Smush's name as a stepping stone to promote his son to be recruited by these high level Division 1 colleges," Hunt says.
Hunt says Parker has not reached out to Novogratz about the incident -- because he didn't think it was a big deal at the time, but says, "If the kid needs to be reached out to, those things will definitely take place if need be."
Nancy Grace PISSED OFF WWE Wrestlers Warned to Stay Away!!
Nancy Grace is being BLACKBALLED by the WWE over the way she covered the death of the Ultimate Warrior ... with superstars (past and present) being warned stay off her show -- OR ELSE!
Grace most recently enraged WWE officials when she had Diamond Dallas Page on her HLN show and strongly insinuated that Warrior's death was the result of steroid and drug abuse.
In fact, she even brought a doctor on the show -- who never treated Warrior -- to speculate that steroids and drugs directly led to the deaths of scores of young wrestlers.
She even scrolled a list of names -- which included Owen Hart -- who died during a freak accident on the set ... which had NOTHING to do with drugs or 'roids.
Now, we're told WWE is circling the wagons to ostracize Grace -- and though they haven't sent any official memos, we're told there's a strong word going around the grapevine that anyone connected to the brand should STAY AWAY from Nancy if they wanna keep a working relationship.
... and that's the bottom line.

Michael Rapaport If Anyone Can Save Lamar ... It's Phil Jackson
Die-hard NY Knicks fan Michael Rapaport believes if anyone has a shot of fixing Lamar Odom -- it's Phil Jackson ... and his proof is Dennis Rodman.
Rapaport -- who was awesome on "Justified" this season -- was out in NYC yesterday when he told us why he's PUMPED about Lamar joining the squad.
"Lamar Odom is a talent," Michael said ... noting that his relationship with the Zen Master will decide whether he's a failure or a success in the Big Apple.
Michael says Phil has always done a great job of getting people who have "gone rogue" to come back around again -- and pointed right to The Worm.
"Dennis Rodman. If [Phil] got him in check ..."
We shall see.
