Darren Sharper's DNA was found on the clothing of one of the women accusing the former NFL star of sexual assault in Arizona ... this according to a detective who testified in court today.

Detective Kevin Mace of the Tempe PD took the stand at Sharper's bail hearing -- and said the two AZ accusers who claim they were drugged and sexually assaulted by Sharper were examined after the alleged incident back in 2013.

Det. Mace says Sharper's DNA was found on one woman's clothing ... but no trace of his DNA was found on the other woman.

In a previous police report, investigators say they found traces of a drug used to knock people out in a shot glass Sharper allegedly gave to one of the women.

Sharper was not present at today's hearing -- he's still locked up in L.A.

The Ultimate Warrior's wife is finally opening up about the shocking death of her husband -- saying she's heartbroken by his passing ... but says the touching WWE tribute is helping her cope.

Dana A. Warrior just released an emotional letter to her husband's fans ... saying, "It is with an absolutely broken heart I reach out to you."

Dana says she tried to keep her daughters insulated from the news coverage -- but allowed them to watch the WWE tribute on Sunday night.

"As the scene unfolded with that amazing roster of talent gathered donning Ultimate Warrior shirts and even his face paint, we cheered and sobbed simultaneously," Dana wrote.

"To everyone who stood there, thank you. My girls will remember your bowed heads for the rest of their lives."

Dana also touched on the moment Warrior collapsed outside their hotel in Arizona -- saying, "I fought and screamed and cried for him not to leave me, but I wasn't to win this round. Heaven won and I lost."

"But I had the ULTIMATE love for 20 years and my children learned to be Warriors from THE ULTIMATE DAD. I wouldn't trade a moment of the life we shared, good or bad, for anything on God's green earth."

The semiautomatic handgun found in a car belonging to Cincinnati Bengals fullback Orson Charles was LOADED at the time of the road rage incident last month ... this according to the police report obtained by TMZ Sports.

We broke the story ... Charles was arrested in Kentucky back in March after cops say he got into it with another driver on an Interstate and waved around a gun during the heated exchange.

Now, we've learned ... there was a middle finger involved.

According to the police report, the other driver admitted he FLIPPED OFF Charles on the road ... and that's when he says Charles pulled out his gun.

Charles says he never brandished the weapon -- though his passenger told cops Orson was reaching for his piece, so she took it away and put it in her purse in the back seat so he couldn't access it.

When cops searched the car, the report says they found the gun -- loaded -- plus, there was an extra clip in the car ... so says the report.

Gary Payton was leaving Mastro's Steakhouse in Bev Hills when he talked about some of HIS favorite players in the NBA ... guys like Kevin Durant, LeBron and Westbrook.

NFL Draft prospect Kelcy Quarles says he was NOT at Greenhouse nightclub during an alleged brawl that left one man badly injured last week ... and says he will do everything he can to clear his name.

TMZ Sports broke the story ... the NYPD says Kelcy and fellow University of South Carolina standout Victor Hampton are wanted for questioning in connection with the alleged attack.

But Kelcy tells TheState.com that he's "mad" about the situation because he was never at the club -- explaining, "I’m about to do everything I possibly can to get my name cleared because it’s not fair. I had nothing to do with this."

He added, "I have not been questioned. What am I being questioned for? I am telling you they are looking for Chaz Sutton."

Sutton -- another USC player hoping to be drafted -- was reportedly stabbed in the left shoulder after he left the club.

But Sutton told TheState.com, "No, I actually hung out with my friends that night. I wasn’t even involved or there so I couldn’t really tell you. I don’t know what is going on."

FYI -- Smith has been charged with illegal possession of an assault weapon stemming from an incident back in 2013. Smith has already pled not guilty to the charge.

Now, officials tell us Smith's arrest in L.A. for allegedly making false bomb threats at LAX this weekend could impact that case.

We spoke to Santa Clara County prosecutor Brian Buckelew ... who tells us his office is "aware of the arrest and is monitoring the situation in Los Angeles."

If Smith is charged with a crime in L.A., prosecutors in Santa Clara could move to significantly increase Smith's bail based on him being a danger to society. His bail is currently set at $50k.
