Ray Rice Wedding Reception Set for June
Ray Rice might have to wait a couple of months before the wedding gifts start to roll in -- because TMZ Sports has learned the newly married NFL star isn't having a wedding reception until June.
As we previously reported, the Baltimore Ravens running back traded "I Dos" with longtime girlfriend Janay Palmer last week in a quiet private ceremony.
Now, we know the couple is planning to celebrate the occasion with a standard reception -- but it won't go down for another couple of months. The reason for the delay is unclear.
Rice is still facing assault charges for allegedly attacking Palmer at an Atlantic City casino back in February ... though Ray vehemently denies the charges and his attorney Michael Diamondstein has insisted the couple is "happy" and getting counseling.
Wale Rapper Punches Heckler in the Face ... at WWE Event
Rap star Wale PUNCHED A GUY IN THE FACE at a WWE event Monday night -- and judging by the way security rushed in to break it up, it appeared to be 100% REAL.
It all went down at "Raw" in Washington D.C. -- TMZ spoke with eyewitness Jawn Murray from AlwaysAlist.com who says Wale was sitting right behind the announcers enjoying the show ... when some fan seated nearby began taunting the rapper.
Murray says Wale eventually got up out of his seat and "the next thing I know Wale is putting the smackdown on dude. Punched him dead in his face. It was a full fight."
Security rushed over and broke up the fight -- and took everyone involved into a hallway. Moments later, Wale returned to his seat and began snacking on popcorn like nothing happened.
We're told the other guy is also back in his seat.

Angels Star Mike Trout DEFEATED BY 58 OUNCE STEAK
Mike Trout THOUGHT he could take down an entire 58 ounce mega-steak by himself.
He was wrong.
You've probably seen the pic ... Mike and Los Angeles Angels teammate Garrett Richards celebrating Trout's new $144 MILLION contract extension with a massive steak dinner.
Now, we know it all went down at The Ranch restaurant in Anaheim on Saturday night -- where Mike chowed down with his entire family in a private dining room.
Our carnivorous sources tell us ... Mike and the gang got the total V.I.P treatment Saturday night -- with executive chef Michael Rossi personally cooking the $89 steaks.
Trout and Garrett made a friendly wager about who could finish their steak first ... but we're told they only made it about 3/4 of the way through before they both threw in the towel.
The good news ... we're told Mike boxed up the rest of the meat and said he was gonna make steak and eggs the next morning.
Can't let good food go to waste ... even when you got $144 million.
Chad Johnson RUNNING 23 MPH ... While Barefoot!!
Chad Johnson can still burn rubber -- the former NFL speedster cranked his treadmill up to 23-miles-per-hour and hit a full sprint ... WITHOUT SHOES!!!
CJ was training with Rams wide receiver Tavon Austin at Fit Speed Athletic Performance in Florida when they decided to work on some speed drills.
The most impressive part -- the incline was raised to 2.5%.
And get this ... Chad's gone EVEN FASTER -- just last year, he posted video while running at 24 mph (with an incline).
Still, the gold standard when it comes to treadmill sprints has got to be former Arizona Cardinals WR Robert Gill -- who hit 25 MPH last summer.
But Gill was running on a flat surface. With shoes.
Just sayin' ...

DeSean Jackson Met With RG3 In L.A. Before Meeting with Redskins In D.C.
Looks like the Redskins are serious about DeSean Jackson -- 'cause TMZ Sports has learned the WR hung out with RG3 in L.A. this weekend BEFORE he got on a plane to meet with the team in D.C.
Sources tell us ... DJ and Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III "spent several hours" together in Los Angeles -- apparently things went well.
Jackson is now on a plane destined for D.C. -- where he's reportedly set to meet with team honchos.
Despite all the drama surrounding his release from the Eagles, we're told DeSean has been laser-focused on football -- and has been training like a maniac.
There are several teams that have reportedly expressed interest in Jackson -- but with the meeting between RG3 and DJ, it looks like the Redskins could have an edge.

Ricky Williams I Didn't Father Kid Number 6 Ex-NFL Star Claims New Paternity Suit Is Bogus
Ricky Williams is calling BS on a massage therapist who claims he knocked her up back in 2010 ... telling TMZ Sports her paternity suit against him is nothing but a shameless money grab.
The former NFL superstar -- who already has 5 kids -- has been targeted in legal docs by Heidy Rivera -- who claims she was banging Williams from 2009 to 2010.
In the docs, filed in Florida and obtained by TMZ Sports, Rivera claims she gave birth to a son in 2011 ... and she's convinced Ricky's the dad ... though he isn't listed on the birth certificate.
Rivera -- who claims in the docs she's on food stamps only earning $300 per week at her massage job -- is asking the court to officially establish paternity so she can start receiving child support from Ricky. She also wants sole custody of the boy.
But Ricky tells TMZ Sports ... the kid ain't his -- and says the whole situation is, "just people trying to get money out of me."
The ex-Miami Dolphins star adds, "There's no validity to this claim at all."
No word on when the case is due back in court.

Georges St-Pierre Beach Muscle Training ... With Obliterated ACL
File this Under: "Impressive ... or Really Stupid?"
He's got a TORN ACL in his left knee, but "semi-retired" UFC legend Georges St-Pierre didn't let that stop him from working out on the beach in FL ... and even pulling off a headstand.
It's a risky move for the fighter, considering if he came down wrong on his left leg, he could've done even more damage to his knee ... and ruined any chance of a UFC comeback.
In fact, GSP recently said his ACL is so badly torn, he's undergoing surgery in the next couple of days.
So again we ask ... is it impressive that GSP pulled off some risky training moves on a bum knee IN THE SAND ... or really stupid?

Major League Baseball No Cash for You, Volunteers But Here's a Backpack for Ya Trouble
It took a NY court ruling to determine what most 5th graders already know -- volunteers don't get paid in cash ... even the ones at the MLB All-Star Weekend ... but they can get some fabulous parting gifts.
TMZ Sports broke the story ... one of the volunteers at last year's All-Star game, John Chen, filed a lawsuit claiming MLB violated labor laws by not paying him minimum wage, at the very least, when he worked long hours at FanFest.
Chen says all he got for his services was a bunch of swag -- shirt, cap, backpack, etc ...
Now a NY court has ruled ... Chen and the other 2,000 volunteers at the festival are NOT considered employees under the minimum wage law ... so they'll have to settle for the free swag instead.
Yes, that's why they're called VOLUNTEERS.
Chivas USA Star Latinos Are Baby Making Machines Of Course We're Taking Over Cali
MLS player Carlos Alvarez isn't shocked white people are now officially a minority in California because as he puts it, "Latinos have a lot of kids" -- but he tells TMZ Sports he thinks this is the beginning of a revolution.
We spoke to the Chivas USA midfielder about the huge news that Cali's Latino population hit 39% this month ... edging out the white population (38.8%) for the first time.
Ex-NBA Star I'm Writing Movies Now About My Life
Homeless before his teens, a father at 15 ... and a college basketball champ who persevered to play 11 years in the NBA. Sound like a great movie? Derek Anderson hopes some big time Hollywood types think so.
The former Kentucky Wildcat and Portland Trailblazer tells TMZ Sports he's shopping around an autobiographical screenplay he wrote -- and hoping to hook a director like Lee Daniels or Mark Wahlberg.
His story is pretty wild ... while injuries hampered him at times in the pros -- his game was tight enough that Michael Jordan handpicked DA to rep the Jordan brand.
Anderson's already got casting decisions in mind, factoring in hoop skills of course: "Maybe Jaden Smith could play me from 11-14 and like Mehcad Brooks could play the older version of me. It’s hard to find actors that can play ball and Mehcad can ball."
If the life story works out -- he's hoping for a 2015 release -- Anderson says he has a few more scripts ready to go.
Confidence -- a must have in sports and Hollywood.
