Officials in New Orleans don't just want Darren Sharper's head ... it seems they want to HUMILIATE the guy in public by parading him in cuffs though the streets of the Big Easy.

Sharper is currently jailed in downtown L.A. after New Orleans cops got a warrant for his arrest in connected with 2 alleged rapes.

We're told Sharper's lawyers tried to get him out Friday but New Orleans prosecutors objected. We're told they do NOT want the judge to let Sharper out on bail. They want marshals to come to L.A. ... shackle him and haul him back as a prisoner.

Now here's what's funky. Sources tell us Sharper has agreed to fly back to New Orleans and face the charges. It makes sense, because he's already on $1 million bail in L.A. for 2 unrelated rape charges. The judge could easily add a condition to his bail that he fly to New Orleans and return.

So why is New Orleans so crazed about making Sharper a spectacle? We're told all 5 of the jurisdictions which are investigating Sharper are all jockeying for first position. They all want to be the first to prosecute him, and there's already infighting between the agencies.

Darren Sharper ... he's not just a suspect -- he's a prize.

Well, ya can't take 'em to Cuttino Mobley's restaurant in L.A. 'cause the place closed down ... and now the former NBA star is suing the cooks -- claiming all they ever served up was bull crap.

The name of the place was Sirena -- which specialized in rustic Italian dishes (shoulda tried the branzino) ... and Cuttino was an investor.

But according to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ Sports, Mobley said he was duped by two cooks (one of whom was allegedly abusing drugs at the restaurant).

In the suit, Mobley says he was promised he was investing in a friendly and affordable "open-air restaurant" ... but the cooks turned the joint into an expensive, "closed -off" place that was only accessible from an alley-way.

Long story short ... the place tanked and shut down last September -- and now Cuttino is suing the cooks to get his money back.

A second Indianapolis Colts player says he's ALL FOR bringing Jonathan Martin to the team ... telling TMZ Sports, "I think he could help us win, and that's all I care about."

We spoke with a Colts lineman -- who didn't want to be named -- who tells us he stands behind Andrew Luck ... who recently went on record saying he wants to bring his former college teammate to Indy.

"I know J-Mart some," the lineman tells us.

This is model Deimante Guobyte -- she's from Lithuania ... she sometimes models lingerie ... and for some reason, she was playing football on the beach this week.

Richie Incognito is being held on an involuntary psychiatric hold ... but HE was the one who initially wanted to get help ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Forget steroids, pro baseball teams should be looking for SMALLER players if they wanna be successful ... this according to the stars of "The Little Couple" who tell TMZ Sports there's proof shorter is better.

Incognito finally talked about the photos posted by TMZ Sports to Fox10 in Phoenix ... and why he wouldn't explain what set him off and triggered him to go all smashy smashy to his ride, he now says he wants to get rid of it.

"The happiest day of my life was when I got that car and now the second happiest day will be when I donate it to charity."

Richie says he now wants to focus on relaxing ... and taking his father and brother to baseball games.

Apparently, that's the way Piers Morgan feels about the sport ... when compared with "real" football -- the kind they play back in Britain.

Darren Sharper is sitting in a downtown L.A. jail right now ... after surrendering in connection with the New Orleans arrest warrant accusing him of raping 2 women.

The warrant was issued Thursday in New Orleans. Cops believe Sharper and an acquaintance raped 2 women in an apartment back in September.

Jacksonville Jaguars star Marcedes Lewis says the NFL's proposed n-word ban is a BAD IDEA ... telling TMZ Sports, "These games are intense, sometimes things come out."

The league acknowledges that it's discussed enacting a rule that would penalize any player caught using the word on the field ... and Lewis says at first, he was into the idea.

The mother of ex-boxing champ Pernell Whitaker tells TMZ Sports ... she was "shocked" her son EVICTED her from her home Wednesday -- but says she refuses to beg him to stay in the house.

We spoke to Novella Whitaker -- who had been living in a Virginia home Pernell said he bought for her more than 30 years ago ... until Pernell went to court and had her legally evicted so he could sell the place to pay bills.

73-year-old Novella tells us, "I was shocked when I heard what Pernell was doing. I wish I had been smart and had the house put in my name. Then he couldn't have done this."

Novella says she refuses to beg Pernell to let her stay in the house -- explaining, "I'm not asking him for anything. I'm gonna be okay."

"My daughter Zelda is taking me in," Novella says ... "She has enough room. I feel comfortable over there. I'm fine now, but I thought it was such a mean and sad thing for my son to do to me."

As for Pernell, he bought the place for his mom back in 1984 at the height of his career when he was rollin' in dough. Now, he's desperate for cash ... and after a judge signed off on the eviction, he called the court victory a "beautiful moment."

Darren Sharper is in BIG trouble in the Big Easy -- A New Orleans judge just issued a warrant for Sharper's arrest for allegedly raping 2 women.

New Orleans Sex Crimes detectives claim there's strong evidence Sharper and an acquaintance raped 2 women on Sept. 23. The rapes allegedly occurred in an apartment.

If convicted, Sharper will get life in prison with hard labor ... with no possibility of parole.

The New Orleans Saints safety faces a mound of legal problems. The L.A. County D.A. has charged him with 2 counts of rape by use of drugs, 4 counts of furnishing of a controlled substance and 1 count of possession of a controlled substance -- all felonies.

And there are rape investigations underway in Arizona, Florida and Nevada.

1:50 PM PT -- The jury wasn't finished. They just awarded the victim another $2.7 MILLION as added punishment for Da Brat's violent bottle assault.

As we reported, the jury has already awarded ex-NFL cheerleader Shayla Stevens $3.7 million to cover her injuries and past/future loss of earnings. Da Brat now owes Stevens a grand total of $6.4 MILLION.

Da Brat is gonna pay twice for violently bottling a former NFL cheerleader inside an ATL nightclub back in 2007 -- after serving more than 3 years in prison for the crime ... the rapper now has to pay the victim $3.7 MILLION.

Shayla Stevens -- who used to cheer for the Atlanta Falcons -- sued Da Brat in 2009, while the rapper was serving her prison sentence after pleading guilty to aggravated assault.

The civil trial hit a stumbling block Wednesday when a juror in the case admitted he wasn't a U.S. citizen -- but the new jury quickly reached a verdict today.

Legendary football coach Barry Switzer just admitted he had a racist mentality when he coached the Oklahoma Sooners ... but it's not what you think ... the guy says he refused to recruit certain WHITE players.

Switzer appeared "The 8-1-1" radio show on WNSR in Nashville, TN this morning ... and said, "I've always said I'd never recruit a white quarterback."

"I said the only way I'd ever recruit a white quarterback to play for me ... his mom and daddy would have to both be black."

Swizter says he believed black quarterbacks like Jamelle Holieway, J.C. Watts and Thomas Lott were better runners and ball-carriers ... and therefore fit better in his wishbone offense.

There does seem to be one exception ... Switzer recruited Troy Aikman ... and last we checked, dude was pretty white.
