Derek Jeter has had a legendary career ... and not just on the field.

During his 19-year run with the Yankees, #2 took down more 10s than anyone else in pro sports ... chicks like Jessica Alba, Adriana Lima, Minka Kelly ... and the list goes on ... and on ... and on.

So even though he's retiring from baseball, it's clear Jeter will keep knockin' it out the park for years to come.

Richie Incognito says Jonathan Martin contemplated suicide back in May because he wasn't playing well ... and Richie just told the world on Twitter.

After weeks of silence, Incognito just WENT OFF on Martin ... saying "the truth will bury you and your entire camp."

But then Richie dropped the bombshell ... "FACT: Jonathan Martin told me he thought about taking his own life in MAY 2013 b/c he wasn't playing well. Told me he felt worthless."

The timing of Incognito's rant is interesting ... considering the man the Miami Dolphins appointed to investigate the alleged "bullying" situation is expected to release his report in the very near future.

Derek Jeter just announced ... he's retiring after one final season with the New York Yankees.

Jeter just posted his explanation on Facebook ... saying, "I could not be more sure. I know it in my heart. The 2014 Season will be my last year playing professional baseball."

He continues, "For the last 20 years I've been completely focused on two goals: playing my best and helping the Yankees win. That means that for 365 days a year my every thought and action were geared toward that goal. It's now time for something new."

The 39-year-old continues, "I want to soak in every moment of every day this year, so I can remember it for the rest of my life. And most importantly, I want to help the Yankees reach our goal of winning another championship."

Back in November, Jeter agreed to take a pay cut ... and signed a 1-year deal for 2014 that will pay him $12 million.

The former Texas A&M quarterback -- who could be the #1 pick in the NFL Draft -- was messin' around on the basketball court with his college WR Mike Evans ... both showing off their dunking abilities.

Evans (6'5", 225) is clearly the superior dunker ... dude even threw down a nice 360 jam.

Oh, did we mention he did it all while wearing FLIP FLOPS?!

But Manziel (6'1", 210) proved he's got hang time too ... throwing down a two-handed dunk.

Things haven't even begun to heat up in Sochi yet ... at least when it comes to the storied SEX PARTIES in Olympic Village ... so says someone who would know, Team USA snowboarder Sage Kotsenburg.

Kotsenburg -- who just won THE GOLD in Snowboard Slopestyle -- is back in the U.S. and earlier today, we HAD to ask about the international bangfest that athletes have been raving about for years!

OLYMPIC SEX NOTE -- tons of athletes have talked about the rampant sex in Olympic Village, including UFC bad ass Ronda Rousey, who told us the scene is pure "debauchery."

But Sage tells us ... none of the athletes are playin' hide the pirozhki just yet ... explaining, "Toward the end of the week, people get pretty rowdy I heard."

On a related note, Sage says he might head back to Russia before the games are over.

You'd think the rapper would've been in a better mood last night ... since he sat courtside at a high school basketball game in Brentwood to support a friend's nephew -- but nope, he looked MISERABLE.

Sources on scene tell us ... one of the kids playing in the game is the nephew of Kanye's designer friend Tracey Mills ... and Yeezy was there to show his support.

So, props for going out to support a friend ... but dude, it's OK to smile!!!

Bonus -- L.A. Clippers coach Doc Rivers was also in the stands ... but sources say he appeared to be having a much better time.

The battle lines in the NFL gay rights struggle will be drawn in the showers ... according to one former NFL star.

Super Bowl champion Raheem Brock -- who spent 10 years in the league -- tells TMZ Sports ... there will be a massive coverup when openly gay players like Michael Sam enter the locker room.

Brock says, "Guys won't go in the shower if they know a guy's gay in there. They gonna feel uncomfortable. I wouldn't [go in the shower]."

He continues, "I mean I would stay at my locker and chill until he's done getting out of the shower."

"Basketball Wives" star Eric Williams -- who spent 12 seasons in the NBA -- is on the hook for more than $24k in unpaid child support ... but his baby mama says the 41-year-old has gone M.I.A.

TMZ Sports has learned ... back in November, a Colorado judge ordered Williams to fork over a total of $24,434.45 to the mother of his 13-year-old son.

Problem is ... no one can find Williams to collect the cash -- so the baby mama has yet to collect.

We contacted to the woman's lawyer who tells us, "Efforts to locate [Williams] have been exhausting."

It seems the woman's legal team is preparing to turn up the heat if she doesn't get paid -- and could move to get Eric locked up if he doesn't pay up.

It's not the first time Williams has had child support issues -- last year a judge issued an arrest warrant for the guy after he blew off a hearing in which he was supposed to submit a DNA test to establish paternity for a different child.

Country music superstars The Band Perry have invited members of the U.S. Olympic ski team to PLAY WITH THEM IN CONCERT ... after watching the athletes cover their biggest hit in Sochi, TMZ Sports has learned.

We know ... the band recently saw the incredible clip of Stacey Cook, Jacqueline Wiles and Laurenne Ross rockin' out to their huge song, "Better Dig Two" and LOVED IT!!!

In fact, a rep for the band tells us ... they've already been in contact with the Olympians in the hopes they can bring them on stage at one of their shows to play the song together.

The band even gave us this note to pass on to the skiers -- "We love you guys! Go Team USA!"

Thiago Silva has a serious cocaine problem ... so says his estranged wife who claims the drug made him paranoid ... though Thiago's lawyer tells TMZ Sports she's full of crap.

Thaysa Silva spoke with a Brazilian media outlet and said the UFC fighter's cocaine habit led to the demise of their marriage AND last week's gun-wielding showdown at a jiu-jitsu academy in Florida.

"The problem was cocaine. He always thinks he’s above the law," Thaysa said ... "He had the cocaine paranoia."

We spoke with Thiago's attorney who tells us ... "The claims are not justified" ... and notes that no cocaine was found on the scene, at Thiago's house or anywhere else connected to the fighter.

Even though they're technically still married, Thaysa says her relationship with Thiago ended more than a year ago.

"My marriage was over in December of 2012. In our relationship, I had to deal with the imbalance and aggressions. But I never went to talk to the police because I fear the reactions. Even after I was assaulted, I did not speak."

Thaysa also described the alleged encounter that went down at her house in the weeks before the arrest ... saying, "He came to my house, tore my clothes and pointed a gun at my head."

UFC legend Randy Couture says there's serious momentum in the fight to get MMA back in the Olympics ... with more than 30 COUNTRIES on board and ready to roll.

Couture was leaving an event in L.A. this weekend when he said, "I think there's 34 or 39 countries that have signed petitions" for a sport called pankration ... an ancient form of MMA.

FYI -- pankration was an olympic sport in ancient Greece. The only rules were no biting or eye-gouging.

So, when should we expect to see MMA fighters competing for the gold? Probably not any time soon ... in fact, a UFC exec recently said he thinks it's still 20 years away.

Drew Brees returned to the city that kicked him to the curb this week ... San Diego ... but not without reminding the locals which team he plays for now.

The NFL superstar hit up a local park with 2 of his sons for a little baseball workout ... they ran the bases, played catch ... it was adorable.

But the funny thing ... Brees -- who played for the Chargers before they stupidly let him go in 2006 -- had one of his kids dressed up in a New Orleans Saints jersey (#43 Darren Sproles).
