Lolo Jones DESERVED her spot on the U.S. Olympic Bobsled team ... despite the rantings of some bitter bobsledders who didn't make the squad ... so says the bobsled PILOT for Team USA.

TMZ Sports spoke with Jazmine Fenlator who tells us ... the team considers itself a "wolf pack" ... and Jones is an INTEGRAL part.

"The Olympic team has developed a bond," Fenlator says ... "We have each other’s backs."

Jones has been under fire from several bobsledders who didn't make the team -- who claim Lolo was only selected due to her celebrity status.

But Fenlator thinks those people are just haters ... and haters gonna hate.

Not everyone's stoked about the opera singer who's booked to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl ... especially rapper French Montana who tells TMZ Sports, "F**k that sh*t."

People have been divided about the decision to have renowned soprano Renee Flemming belt out the anthem before the big game on Feb 2 ... and Montana says he understands it's important to try something different.

But at the end of the day, French says he's entitled to own opinion ... and his opinion is that opera music SUCKS.

NBA star Kenyon Martin has picked a longshot to win the Super Bowl ... a reaaaaal longshot.

Martin was leaving a shoe store in Harlem last night when we asked for his pick to win the big game -- his answer? THE COWBOYS!!!

Obviously, there's a bit of a problem with that pick ... since, you know, they're not exactly playing.

One of the star linebackers at the University of North Carolina has been suspended from the team after allegedly picking a fight with a parking attendant ... and body checking the guy, TMZ Sports has learned.

We've learned ... Travis Hughes, the 5th-leading tackler on the Tarheels squad, got into it with the parking attendant Thursday when he noticed his car was being towed from the front of his campus residence.

According to court documents, Hughes -- who's 6'2", 225 lbs -- "bumped [the parking attendant] with his body, trying to get him to move from behind his vehicle."

Law enforcement say Hughes left the scene, but was pulled over and arrested for assault less than a mile away.

DeSean Jackson doesn't seem too concerned that his ex-girlfriend was hangin' with Justin Bieber the morning he was arrested ... insisting he hasn't been paying attention to the biggest story in news.

Yeah ... sure.

We broke the story, the woman in the passenger seat of Bieb's Lambo was Chantel Jeffries -- DeSean's ex-girlfriend.

But when someone asked DJ about the situation at a Pro Bowl event in Hawaii yesterday, the Philadelphia Eagles star claimed he hadn't heard ANYTHING about it ... not a single, solitary word.

Harris made the statement in the wake of Bieber's DUI arrest yesterday ... after he was pulled over by cops for drunkenly street racing around Miami.

Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Carl Crawford says his baby mama is trying to shake him down for more cash ... despite the fact he gives her AT LEAST $10,000 per month, this according to docs obtained by TMZ Sports.

Crawford -- who's in the middle of a $142 MILLION contract -- is also in the middle of a custody war with ex-girlfriend Amy Freeman, the mother of his 2 minor children.

As we first reported, Crawford's pissed that Freeman recently picked up and moved the family from Arizona to L.A. -- claiming she's trying to squeeze him for more money with the help of CA's more favorable child support laws.

Now, Crawford has filed new docs claiming the judge should force her to stay in AZ because it's not only best for their children ... but because he takes damn good care of her in the Grand Canyon state.

Crawford says he's not only paying for the kids to go to fancy schools, but has showered his ex with multiple homes, cars and $10k per month in child support.

Justin Bieber has one huuuuge disadvantage if he's trying to make a run at DeSean Jackson's ex-GF -- his penis ... this according to the guy who voiced "Special Ed" on "Crank Yankers."

We broke the story ... Jackson's ex-GF Chantel Jeffries was the passenger in Bieber's Lambo when he was arrested Thursday morning ... and now there's speculation they're bangin'.

Justin Bieber's DUI arrest has NOT cost him the support of a major sponsor ... TMZ has learned Adidas is standing by him -- for now.

The athletic shoe company tells TMZ, "Nothing is changing in our relationship with Mr. Bieber at this time" ... which sounds like they're leaving that door open.

Bieber signed a big endorsement deal with Adidas back in 2012 -- he and Selena Gomez are the celebrity faces for the company's NEO line.

The Biebs earned about $58 million last year ... a good chunk of that from deals he made to hawk sneakers, headphones, nail polish, makeup, a prepaid credit card and the acne cream, Proactiv -- which paid him about $3 mil until that deal ended.

None of those other companies -- as far as we can tell -- have made any move to ax Bieber.

And judging by that mugshot ... maybe he shoulda stuck with Proactiv.

Raider Nation has a soft spot for Justin Bieber ... at least according to two members of the Silver and Black who tell TMZ Sports, they're praying for the pop star to turn his life around before it's too late.

Wide receiver Rod Streater and kicker Marquette King were out in Bev Hills today shooting a commercial for the Who Has It fashion app when we brought up The Biebs -- and King broke out into song, busting out one of Justin's greatest hits.

The guys admitted ... they're not only fans of JB's music, they're rooting for him.

Don't plan on seeing Flea's penis at the Super Bowl this year -- the Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist says he's KEEPING IT IN HIS PANTS during the halftime show ... despite publicly suggesting he'd flash the audience.

NY Jets quarterback Geno Smith just kicked Virgin Airlines' ass ... getting the company to issue a FULL APOLOGY for having him thrown off a flight at LAX last week.

As we previously reported ... Geno was tossed from his plane after getting into a confrontation with a flight attendant -- who allegedly yanked his headphones out of his ears on the plane.

Now, Virgin is backing down big time ...even taking responsibility for allowing the situation to blow up:

“After a full review of the incident, we believe it was the result of a misunderstanding that regrettably escalated unnecessarily."

The statement continues, "We’ve apologized to Mr. Smith for his experience, which could have been better – and we’d welcome him back on board any time."

Geno has issued a statement of his own saying, "I really appreciate that Virgin America took this seriously, looked into this matter and followed up with me. I look forward to flying their airline again soon.”

It ain't often the Jets get a victory these days ..

Keyshawn Johnson is PUMPED about Justin Bieber's arrest -- saying it was only a matter of time ... and he's glad it happened BEFORE someone got seriously hurt.

Keyshawn's been beefin' with Bieber for a WHILE -- ever since he confronted the singer for dangerously speeding through their Calabasas community back in 2013.

At the time, Keyshawn blasted Bieber as a danger to the community -- saying he was showing a complete disregard for the safety of his neighbors.

Moments ago, Key went to Twitter to express his emotions over the arrest -- saying, "They finally caught HIM! Glad no one was hurt, no kids in the street. Everyone grows up at some point. Hopefully he learns from it."

Key continued, "The scary part is grown adults who are w/ him aren't protecting him from himself! All looking for a quick buck. Learning experience for all."

Eric Dickerson, another one of Bieb's neighbors who had complained about JB's dangerous driving in the past -- also expressed joy ... tweeting, "It's about time! Nobody's above the law!"

The hot female passenger who was in Justin Bieber's Lambo during his DUI arrest is the ex-girlfriend of NFL superstar DeSean Jackson, TMZ Sports has learned.

The woman is Chantel Jeffries -- who was in a relationship with the Philadelphia Eagles receiver until last summer. Before they broke up, Chantel and DeSean plastered images of themselves all over social media.

She's also been connected with Justin Combs -- Diddy's son.

Chantel is a self-described model, student and according to her Twitter account, she's also an eyebrow connoisseur.
