Despite the fact he may have cheated on her .. and that he just had a child with another woman ... Gabrielle Union made it clear this week she's STICKING WITH Dwyane Wade.

Wade and Union spend New Year's Eve together -- and even posted a photo together, showing Gabby hanging on Wade's arm, while flashing her new $1 million engagement ring.

Wade included a caption that says, "Brought the NewYrs in with my beautiful fiancé and great friends...2013 was filled with ups and downs...without them u can't grow. So I'm better now becuz of them. 2014 I'm ready...#UnionWade."

Florida State QB Jameis Winston could be the next Archie Griffin ... so says Archie Griffin, who tells TMZ Sports he strongly believes JW could be the second man in history to win the Heisman TWICE.

Of course, Griffin -- perhaps the greatest Ohio State football player of all time -- is the only man to hoist the trophy in 2 separate years ... and when AG arrived at LAX for the Rose Bowl, he spelled out why Jameis is the next great double-Heisman hope.

Archie (super nice guy BTW) also told us why he thinks college football players have it harder now then they did back in the '70s.

Plus, he picks a Super Bowl winner ... though he might be a little bias.

Skating legend Oksana Baiul has gone Chernobyl on NBC ... claiming the network screwed her over by making her sign a contract with a bunch of gobbledygook when all she knew was goulash.

Oksana is suing NBC, claiming the deal she made to star in "Nutcracker on Ice" was grossly one-sided and, as a result, she hasn't seen a ruble in profits.

Oksana made the deal when she was 16 and says at the time she had a feeble command of the English language and had no idea what she was signing. As a result, she claims the NBC nogoodnicks haven't anted up for the last 17 years.

Those crazy Ukrainians.

Another sports megastar is gettin' married ... this time, golf phenom Rory McIlroy popped the question to his tennis champ GF Caroline Wozniacki ... and she said yes!

Just like Carl Crawford and Dwyane Wade, Rory proposed with a MASSIVE diamond ring.

The proposal went down in Sydney, Australia where Caroline is getting ready for the Australian Open ... and of course, Rory immediately tweeted the news:

"Happy New Year everyone! I have a feeling it's going to be a great year!! My first victory of 2014 #shesaidyes!!"

Sorry fellas, Aaron Rodgers just ain't into dudes ... so says the Green Bay Packers QB himself who claims reports that he's gay are just plain wrong.

Rodgers appeared on ESPN radio in Wisconsin today and decided to address reports that he's in a secret gay relationship with a former personal assistant.

Here's Aaron's response ... "I’m just going to say I’m not gay. I really, REALLY like women."

The Super Bowl champ went on to explain, "There’s always going to be silly stuff out there in the media which you can’t worry too much about, and I don’t ... so, just, keep on trucking."

Exactly 9 months before Dwyane Wade's son was born (by a woman who's NOT his fiancee) ... Wade and Gabrielle Union were still acting like they were very much a couple ... and TMZ has the proof.

We broke the story ... Wade's baby mama Aja Metoyer gave birth to Dwyane's son Xavier on Nov. 10. Wade claims the two were on a "break" at the time.

But on February 5th (9 months before the birth), Gabrielle was Instagramming about Wade ... posting a photo of the NBA star cuddled up with her dog Sasha along with caption, "Sasha don't play when it comes to her man... 'Down to ride 'til the very end, it's me and my boyfriend.'"

A couple of days before that (on Feb. 1), Gabrielle posted a romantic photo of the couple together from a photo shoot for a "Flashback Friday."

Doesn't seem like a couple on a break ...

There's more ... on February 19th, Gabby posted another pic of Dwyane holding one of her scripts ... with the caption, "It takes a village to help an actress learn her lines... @dwyanewade takin a break from his Gatorade commercial to give me a line reading. Thanks coach :)"

The patter continues until April ... when Gabby stopped posting pics of Dwyane and started posting a bunch of sad cryptic quotes. One reads, "We cannot start over, but we can begin now, and make a new ending."

Another says, "Sometimes you have to get knocked down lower than you have ever been, to stand up taller than you ever were."

But on May 16, Wade returns to the picture ... with Union posting a photo of the couple, along with the caption, "I like this dude."

11:30 AM PT -- TMZ Sports has learned ... Aja's two other children were fathered by "Happy Endings" star Damon Wayans Jr. ... the son of "In Living Color" legend Damon Wayans (obviously).

We're told Damon is very involved in the children's lives.

TMZ Sports has obtained the birth certificate for Dwyane Wade's brand new son ... which shows the kid's name is Xavier Zechariah Wade ... and he was only born last month.

Of course, Wade recently acknowledged that he had a kid with a woman who isn't his fiancee Gabrielle Union. There are reports that Wade and Union were on a break when the child was conceived.

Now, we know the kid was born in Los Angeles on Nov. 10, 2013 ... just 6 weeks before Wade popped the question to Gabrielle, who he's been dating since 2009.

According to the birth certificate, Wade's baby mama is 30-year-old Aja Metoyer. The details of their relationship are basically unknown, except the obvious fact they have a kid together.

Aja has two other children.

Metoyer did not list Wade as the father on the birth certificate, but she did give the child Dwyane's last name.

You know what makes John Salley happy?? A GREAT BADONK ... and last night in Bev Hills, the former NBA star was a very happy man.

TMZ Sports was talkin' with Mr. Salley outside Mr. Chow when he stopped the conversation dead in its tracks -- to focus our attention on a gigantic booty that was shuffling our way.

John smiled ... traded some high fives with our photog ... and then dropped this nugget: "Ya never stop being an athlete."

Cristiano Ronaldo is a big fan of the 5-on-1 ... at least when it comes to his massages -- and the soccer phemon just posted a photo to prove it.

The Real Madrid star just tweeted a pic showing a handful of team trainers getting their deep tissue on ... while a mostly naked Ronaldo lies on a table giving a thumbs up.

He included the caption, "Getting ready for next year with the last massage."

Six months after leaving the WWE, former wrestler/announcer Matt Striker has resurfaced ... as a ROMULAN COMMANDER -- as in, the guy got himself a role in the new "Star Trek" project.

TMZ Sports has learned ... ever since he parted ways with the WWE back in June, Striker's been pursuing a career as an actor -- and recently auditioned for a part in the upcoming TV movie, "Star Trek Equinox: The Night of Time."

We spoke with Matt ... who tells us 13 years of pro-wrestling was great practice, saying "I did some acting as a child, movies like 'Wise Guys' etc. but really my time with the WWE has prepared me greatly for this next stage of my life."

Veteran actor John Savage -- who's starring in the flick -- says Striker was "handpicked" for the part ... telling us "when Matt was presented for audition, we thought we had our guy -- after he read, we knew it."

Savage says Striker's work in the ring was definitely a factor when it came to casting him for the role.

Must not have seen him getting his ass kicked by Kane ...

Former college football star Marcus Vick -- the younger brother of Michael Vick -- was arrested in Georgia this morning after cops say he was driving while high on marijuana ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Law enforcement tells TMZ Sports ... the 29-year-old former Virginia Tech quarterback was driving a 2013 Lexus LX570 which was stopped around 2:30 AM for expired tags.

During the stop, cops noticed the presence of marijuana and Vick was arrested for DUI.

Vick was hauled to a nearby station ... and sources tell us he was booked right around 4:20 AM.

Vick is no stranger to trouble ... he was arrested in Virginia in 2012 for blowing off multiple court dates stemming from driving on a suspended license charge.

Aside from that ... he was booted off the Virginia Tech football team back in 2006 following a string of arrests and convictions and has been involved in multiple legal issues since ... including gun charges.

2:05 PM PT -- According to the police report obtained by TMZ Sports, the arresting officer noticed a strong odor of marijuana on Vick's breath.

Cops say Vick also admitted that he smoked weed just before driving the car.

During the stop, cops say Marcus was not carrying a valid driver's license on his person ... and was not licensed to drive in Georgia.

Cops say Vick had just over $1k in cash in his pocket at the time of the bust ... and his passenger had $6k inside of a book bag.

The fast life is catching up with Dodgers star Yasiel Puig and if he doesn't slow down -- he could kill someone ... at least that's what cops in Florida are saying.

Plus, more trouble for Michael Vick's brother ... can he save himself before it's too late?

Yasiel Puig COULD HAVE KILLED HIS MOTHER if the Florida Highway Patrol didn't stop the L.A. Dodgers star from driving at breakneck speed this weekend ... so says the arresting officer.

TMZ Sports has obtained the arrest report filed after Puig was popped for reckless driving in Florida on Saturday morning.

In the report, the trooper who busted Puig says the 23-year-old was going 110 in a 70 in a white Mercedes -- and passing other cars -- with his mother, friend and cousin in the vehicle.

The officer writes in the report, "By driving in this manner Mr. Puig showed willful and a total disregard for the safety of his mother and the other two passengers and any vehicles on the roadway and placed the life's [sic] of everyone in his vehicle and every vehicle that he was passing on the roadway in danger."

The officer goes on to say that if a crash had occurred, "His mother and the two passengers would not [have] survived as resulted [sic] of his action."

Puig was arrested for reckless driving -- the second time he's been busted for driving like a maniac this year.

Andrew Bynum is NOT the lazy slacker he's being portrayed as in the media ... he's actually a hardworking CHAMPION ... so says one of Bynum's former teammates.

Philadelphia 76ers star Evan Turner hit the clubs in L.A. Sunday night (after putting a hurtin' on the Lakers) ... and told us Bynum busted his ass during his short stint in Philly (2012-2013).

"I played with Bynum and he worked hard," Turner said ... "TWO world championships man. The dude's doing the right things, he's [just] getting injured."

Sorry KC fans, the Chiefs ain't got a Vulcan chance in hell of winning the AFC ... so says "Star Trek" god William Shatner, who tells TMZ Sports the Lombardi Trophy's got Peyton Manning's name written all over it.

Shatner and his family had just touched down at LAX last night (he's even got his vacation hat on) ... when he told us why he's supremely confident that Denver won't be stopped in the NFL Playoffs.

Turns out ... Captain Kirk and Captain Manning are "boys."
