Snoop Dogg's son Cordell Broadus -- one of the top high school football prospects in the country -- has just dropped out of his CA high school ... but it's only 'cause he's moving to a better one.

TMZ has learned Broadus gave notice to Diamond Bar High School head coach Ryan Maine this week ... and informed the school he wanted to play at a higher level of competition.

FYI -- Cordell is 6'3" and 186lbs ... and is reportedly being recruited by some of the top college programs in the country including Notre Dame, Duke, LSU, Nebraska, UCLA and USC.

According to sources familiar with the situation ... the wide receiver is eyeing St. John Bosco -- widely considered one of the best high school football teams in the country.

Broadus' decision was first reported by In the Huddle.

We're told one thing influencing Cordell's decision is Nate Dogg's son -- who will graduate from St. John Bosco later this year ... but with a full scholarship to the University of Arizona.

Our sources say Cordell is also looking at other schools closer to where he lives ... 'cause he doesn't feel like making the long commute.

Jaguar's rookie WR Ace Sanders just sprung for a brand new $300k crib for his mom as a thank-you for pushing him to excel in school and life ... Ace's mom tells TMZ Sports.

We've learned Sanders secretly purchased the 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home in Tampa, FL last week ... not far from where Ace grew up.

FYI, Sanders only signed a 4-year $2.64 million contract with Jacksonville last April -- which included a $481k signing bonus. Unclear if Sanders bought the $300k home outright, or if he took out a mortgage on the place.

Ace's mom got her "gift" yesterday ... and the NFL player immediately tweeted about it: "Mama just called me in tears! She was handed the Keys to her new house!!!! Merry Christmas mama! I love that Women to death!"

We spoke with Ace's mom -- Twanda -- who told us "[Ace] didn’t have to do it, but he told me that ‘ma, you made me do everything, stay in school, get good grades… I want you to have this.”

Twanda says she loves the new place ... adding, "I never expected anything like it."

The house is still unfurnished -- so Twanda's waiting to move in until Christmas Eve. BTW, Ace comes home from playing the Colts in Indy on Dec. 29th.

Pau Gasol might not always give it his all on the court (at least according to D'Antoni) -- but he definitely goes the extra mile when he visits sick kids ... TMZ Sports has learned.

The Lakers star went to Children's Hospital of LA yesterday -- and we're told he spent over 4 hours hanging out with kids ... signing personalized t-shirts and basketballs he brought for them.

A rep for the hospital says the kids and their parents were blown away by Pau's bonding skills ... and that he makes the trip at least three times a year.

Pau is reportedly off the trading block for the Lakers -- despite his most recent public spat with Mike D'Antoni ... which is good news for the kids at CHLA.

With Lamar Odom out of the picture, Khloe Kardashian turned to ANOTHER basketball star for some company during a shopping outing in Bev Hills ... ex-NBA stud Baron Davis.

TMZ Sports shot footage of the two leaving Barneys New York on Thursday ... laughing and smiling together ... and even sharing a hug before getting in separate cars and hitting the road.

Unclear if the two are just shopping pals ... or something more.

We do know this ... Baron grew up in L.A. and has been friends with the Kardashians for years. He's also tight with Kate Hudson (they went to high school together).

Eminem got an offer he COULD refuse -- an offer to sing at the NFL Owners Party during Super Bowl week that did not meet his price -- $2 MILLION!

Sources connected to the party tell TMZ ... reps from the event were looking for a headline act for the party that followed the dinner, which will be attended by 1,500 lucky folks. When Eminem's agents laid out the financial terms, we're told the owners group passed.

We're also told the owners were interested in Kanye ... but his fee was too high as well. As one source put it, "It was $1 million, plus plus plus a lot of other perks."

There will be a slew of singers performing at various events in NYC during Super Bowl week. We're told DJs are the big thing ... and the big ones are going for between $750K and $1 million.

Terry Bradshaw says his old college football teammate Phil Robertson needs to chill out on the bible thumping ... 'cause he's "taking scripture literally" and forgetting "the bible also preaches love."

TMZ Sports spoke to the NFL Hall of Famer -- who rode the bench behind Robertson when they played together at Louisiana Tech -- and asked him about the "Duck Dynasty" star's homophobic comments to GQ.

The guys from "Duck Dynasty" are NOT in danger of losing their biggest sponsor, Under Armour -- 'cause while the company tells TMZ its not down with Phil Roberston's homophobic comments, its not willing to kill the business relationship ... yet.

UA -- which sponsors the Duck Commander business, founded by Phil -- just issued a statement to TMZ ... saying, "We have no plans to change our current relationship.

The company adds, "We are obviously aware of the situation. And his comments are not indicative of Under Armour's views."

UA insists the company is committed to treating all people equally and with respect ... even if Phil isn't.

Jameis Winston's accuser believes the Tallahassee PD completely BOTCHED her case ... and now she's begging the FL governor to launch an internal investigation, TMZ Sports has learned.

The accuser's attorney, Patricia Carroll, tells us ... her client fired off several letters to various officials, including the FL Attorney General, the Federal Dept. of Law Enforcement and Gov. Rick Scott asking for them to help make sure the PD is properly investigated.

As we previously reported, Carroll says the PD bungled the case from the start -- failing to interview witnesses, not testing blood for rape drugs, sitting on the case for 11 months and more.

In fact, Carroll says the accuser has recently been bombarded with letters from other alleged rape victims detailing similar experiences with the Tallahassee PD.

The accuser is going to have a tough battle getting Gov. Scott on board -- considering he recently shot down her prior request for an investigation.

But the accuser hopes that with other women coming forward with similar stories, the Gov. will change his mind.

A little booty chasing does a body good ... at least for Bengals safety George Iloka -- 'cause the day after he hit Miami Beach with a thong'd out hot chick, he KILLED IT at practice, TMZ Sports has learned.

Iloka -- who's in the middle of a 4-year $2.1 million contract -- spent his day off (Tuesday) 1,200 miles from Cinci ... where he got in some quality ass-gazing.

But the whirlwind trip didn't affect his day job -- 'cause a rep for the Bengals tells us the 26-year-old defensive stud made it to practice the next day (Wednesday) ... and had a pretty stellar outing.

Brian Boitano likes boytanos ... the figure skating legend has just announced he's gay.

Turns out, Boitano had never addressed his sexuality publicly until today ... when he released a statement regarding his recent appointment to the U.S. delegation for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

Boitano says, "Being gay is just one part of who I am. First and foremost I am an American athlete and I am proud to live in a country that encourages diversity, openness and tolerance."

It seems pretty obvious Boitano timed his announcement to thumb his nose at the Russian establishment ... which has planted itself firmly against homosexuality.

Adrian Broner is an OVERRATED LOSER who never should've been compared to Floyd Mayweather ... so says Floyd's uncle/trainer who just blasted the boxer on camera.

After Broner got beat down by Marcos Maidana last weekend, Roger Mayweather trashed the fighter to HustleBoss.com ... saying "[Broner] wasn't what people thought he was."

Of course, Broner was hyped up to be boxing's next superstar -- hype that Roger says was nothing but a crock of BS from the start.

"Who the f*ck did he beat? The next star has to beat somebody."

As for a possible Broner vs. Mayweather matchup, Roger says it ain't ever gonna happen ... because Broner's not capable of beating the talent it takes to get a match with Floyd.
