Hugh Douglas FIRED FROM ESPN Allegedly Called Co-Host 'Uncle Tom'

Published | Updated

Former NFL superstar Hugh Douglas has just been FIRED from his gig on an ESPN show in the wake of reports he called his co-host an "Uncle Tom."

Douglas -- a former Philadelphia Eagles defensive stud -- had co-hosted ESPN's "Numbers Never Lie" ... along with Michael Smith.

But according to several reports, Douglas and Smith got into a heated altercation at the National Association of Black Journalists Convention in Orlando last Tuesday ...with Douglas allegedly hurling the racially charged insult at Smith, who is black.

Douglas never confirmed the incident ... but ESPN had previously told media outlets they were "aware there was a disagreement" between the two men.

Moments ago, ESPN took action -- 86'ing Douglas from the network, effective immediately.

Douglas tweeted about the move -- saying, "I am very disappointed to be leaving ESPN and will have more to say about this situation and my future at the appropriate time."

Gilbert Arenas I Would DOMINATE Michael Jordan in 1-On-1

Published | Updated

Just because Michael Jordan can still dunk, doesn't mean he can still dominate in 1-on-1 ... so says Gilbert Arenas, who tells TMZ he'd whoop the 50-year-old if it came down to it.

31-year-old Arenas -- who played for the Shanghai Sharks last season -- was clearly impressed with the footage of MJ throwin' one down last weekend, saying, "If he's still dunking at 50, that means he's still athletic enough to guard anyone."

But if Jordan suddenly appeared at Gilbert's home court -- and wanted to go mano-a-mano -- GA says it wouldn't even be close .. JORDAN WOULD GO DOWN.

But Jordan in his prime vs. Gilbert in his prime -- even Arenas admits, it would be a bloodbath.

Check out the clip.

Spike From 'Little Giants' DANCING PHENOM The Annexation of Studio City

Published | Updated

Spike from "Little Giants" is no longer a tackling machine ... he's a DANCING MACHINE ... and TMZ has footage showing the guy poppin' and lockin' like a friggin' CHAMP!!

19 years after he tried (and failed) to obliterate Becky "The Icebox" O'Shea ... Sam Horrigan took over the dance floor at La Maison lounge in Studio City, CA ... and totally stole the show.

We're told it all went down at an event for Ken Due clothing -- when Sam, who's a manager at the lounge, started feeling the music and decided to bust out a few moves.

The leg strength is particularly impressive ... must've been the nightly "evaporated milk" massages.

Gabby Douglas I'd Kick Ass at Snowboarding, Too

Published | Updated

Call her Kanye West ... 'cause Gabby Douglas is continuing to SMASH racial stereotypes like they were TMZ cameras.

The 17-year-old Olympic sweetheart -- the FIRST black woman to win gold in the individual all-around -- was at LAX this weekend when we asked ... is there ANOTHER sport she would dominate if she didn't become a world class gymnast.

Her answer -- snowboarding ... a sport that's almost as white as the mountains they shred.

Next up ... hockey? Lacrosse? Polo? Line dancing?

Jerry Jones Cowboys Are Winning the Super Bowl ... Period.

Published | Updated

There's confidence. There's overconfidence. Then there's Jerry Jones ... who made it clear, the Dallas Cowboys are WINNING the Super Bowl this year. Period.

The Cowboys owner was leaving Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills last night when he told us how it's gonna be in 2013 ... SB or bust.

The Cowboys haven't looked too shabby in their first two pre-season games -- with Dez Bryant looking especially beastly.

But do they have what it takes to go all the way this year? Or will Tony Romo find yet another way to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory?

God, we love football.

Shaq & Lamar Odom Power Balance Agrees To Cough Up $287K

Published | Updated

Shaq and Lamar Odom have scored a huge victory over the snake oil salesmen at Power Balance -- the company that duped athletes into believing its hologram bracelets could provide super-strength -- because it just agreed to fork over $287,000 to get the NBA stars off its back.

TMZ broke the story ... Shaq and Odom filed legal docs in PB's bankruptcy case, claiming they were owed money for their involvement in the company. Lamar was an investor. Shaq was a paid spokesperson.

Shaq originally demanded $308,961 and Lamar $133,870 -- but according to new court docs, they both agreed to take a little less after settlement negotiations ... Shaq got $200,310 and Lamar $87,015.

But they could get even more -- under the deal, if PB's bankruptcy estate collects more money than they anticipate from ensuing litigation, Shaq and Lamar could get an additional payout.

FYI, PB has virtually gone belly up in the wake of the $57 million class action lawsuit filed against the company over its bogus scientific claims. The lawsuit forced PB into bankruptcy.

Keyshawn Johnson I'm NOT Moving Because of Bieber

Published | Updated

Keyshawn Johnson is saying sayonara to his Calabasas mansion -- but the ex-NFL star is adamant the move has NOTHING to do with his beef with his pain in the ass neighbor Justin Bieber.

TMZ spoke with a rep for the ESPN star who tells us, "Keyshawn is not moving to get away from Bieber. He's moving to be closer to the high school where he'll be coaching and where his son will be playing football."

Keyshawn recently took a job as a wide receivers coach at Mission Viejo High School in Orange County, CA ... where his son will go to school in the fall.

FYI -- MSVH is a high school football powerhouse and Key's rep tells us Johnson took the job with the varsity team to "have fun" while his kid pays his dues on the JV squad.

Of course, Key probably won't miss Bieber when he parts ways with his Calabasas palace -- 'cause as everyone knows, Justin has been the neighbor from hell ... partying on the time and speeding up and down the quiet streets in their private gated community.

Key's 11,746 square foot home is currently on the market for $8.5 mil. We're told Johnson plans to move to another mansion near the high school ... but he's very interested in coming back to the Calabasas area in a few years ... 'cause he likes it out there.

Hopefully, Justin will have moved by then.

Ex-MLB Star Dwight Gooden EVICTED From Jersey Mansion

Published | Updated

More problems for Doc Gooden -- the troubled ex-MLB star has just been evicted from the NJ mansion he was renting after allegedly stiffing his landlord for months ... TMZ has learned.

What makes the situation even sadder ... Dwight's estranged wife was living in the home with their 2 young kids -- who were all forced to leave in July, when officials enforced the eviction.

According to court docs, obtained by TMZ, Dwight and his family moved in to the home back in September 2011 ... and agreed to pay $4,500 per month in rent.

But things went south in March -- when Dwight's wife got a restraining order against the former NY Mets pitcher following a domestic dispute, forcing Doc to move out.

The homeowners claim Doc's family stayed in the home all of March, April, May and June -- but they never got a check from the Goodens for any of those months ... and that adds up to some serious debt.

The homeowners filed legal docs against Gooden -- demanding the back rent plus penalties, totaling more than $18,984 ... AND they also want legal fees.

The court also granted the landlord's permission to evict the Goodens -- and on July 11, Docs family was forced out of the home. It's unclear where they're living now.

We reached out to Dwight's people -- so far, no word back.

Wayne Gretzky Puck the Housing Market ... I Made a Million Bucks!

Wayne Gretzky's real estate skills are hotter than his daughter ... the former NHL star just sold his Arizona mansion for OVER $1 MILLION MORE than he paid for it.

"The Great One" bought the casa in Scottsdale as a vacation home (yeah it's not even his main house) back in 2003 for $1,737,450. He listed it on June 28 for $3.395 million.

The house sold in August for exactly $2.875 million. A reduction from the original asking price yes, but sill a win for Gretzky ... who watched his giant bank account grow from the profit.

As for the desert digs ... 5,619 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, top of the line everything, plus an outdoor pool and spa -- where you can imagine Paulina Gretzky doing this:

Tito Ortiz Before Jenna Bashes Me on TV, Know This ... She's A LIAR

Published | Updated

Tito Ortiz is scrambling to protect his reputation in the face of a public smear campaign ... helmed by his baby mama Jenna Jameson -- telling TMZ, whatever she's about to say on TV is bound to be filled with lies ... because she's a dirty liar.

FYI, Jenna recently sat for an interview with "Entertainment Tonight." It's unclear what the interview is about, but Tito's guessing he's a main talking point ... and given their sordid history, he probably isn't portrayed in the best light.

So he's coming out to clear his name preemptively -- telling us, "I want to make it very clear that any and all allegations she has made about our personal life and my character are completely false. Jenna continues to paint a picture of distorted reality, which has been hurtful to both myself and my family. I hold sole custody over our boys, which speaks for itself."

He adds, "I am moving on with our life and with our boys, and I pray this is all over soon. I wish Jenna would get help to not only save herself, but for the children she brought into this world."

Robbie Knievel I'm an Alcoholic But I'm Not Gonna Change

Published | Updated

Robbie Knievel tells TMZ he's a hardcore alcoholic ... hellbent on self-destruction ... and there ain't a damn thing he can do about it.

Knievel just called in to "TMZ Live" to talk about his motor home DUI in South Dakota on Tuesday -- and admitted he was plastered that day ... explaining, "I'm a frickin' drinking, driving daredevil."

"I ride motorcycles and I friggin' drink and ride ... that's my deal."

During the interview, Knievel came off as a very conflicted man, battling some serious demons. "I have an alcohol problem," Knievel said ... "I'm a cowboy. I'm not a redneck. But I love whiskey."

Perhaps the most concerning part of the interview came when we asked how Robbie would feel if he hurt someone while boozed up behind the wheel.

"I shouldn't be drinking and driving 'cause I could kill somebody ... and you know what, it would be better if I killed myself."

Robbie shouldn't be drinking and driving anytime soon -- his license has been suspended for 30 days due to the DUI arrest.

Tiger Woods I Got A Hole in ONE ... DINING ROOM!

Published | Updated

You'd think when you spend $60 million to build a massive Florida house it would stay above sea level ... but not so with Tiger Woods, who has a GIGANTIC hole in his dining room!

Sources connected with the repair of the Jupiter Island mansion tell TMZ, the hole is "massive" and the underlying problem is serious.

Tiger apparently noticed sagging in the dining room. Contractors have now opened up the floor, creating a big fat hole, trying to determine what's causing the problem. They think the pilings may have been improperly set. They also fear some may be missing.

So far the problem seems limited to the dining room, but they don't know for sure.

Tiger's had more than his share of ups and downs with holes over the last few years ... for sure.

Robbie Knievel Busted For DUI ... In a Motor Home

Published | Updated

Robbie Knievel -- the daredevil son of Evel Knievel -- was arrested for DUI in South Dakota this week after cops say he went on a drunken rampage in his motor home, TMZ has learned.

We've confirmed ... the 51-year-old was arrested on Tuesday around 6:38 PM outside of the Buffalo Chip campground ... where lots of people stay for the famous Sturgis motorcycle rally.

According to law enforcement, Buffalo Chip security called police after witnesses say Knievel smashed into two other motor home units on the property, breaking a mirror and a bumper, and then tore out of the property without stopping.

A short time later, cops found Knievel's RV in a nearby parking lot with the motor running ... with Robbie texting in the driver's seat.

Cops say they detected a strong odor of alcohol -- and when asked, Robbie said he had 3 drinks earlier that evening.

According to cops, Robbie took a breath test and blew a .228 ... almost 3 times the legal limit in South Dakota.

He also bombed several other field sobriety tests -- including two counting tests.

Cops say Knievel was physically unable to do the 1-leg stand and the walk-and-turn test due to previous physical injuries ... after all, he is a daredevil.

Robbie was eventually hauled to a nearby jail -- where he was booked and eventually released.

And talk about quick justice -- Robbie was already sentenced for the crime: His license was suspended for 30 days and he's been ordered to pay nearly $600 in fines.
