Warring estranged couple Rachel Uchitel and Matt Hahn may have wisely decided living well is the best revenge, because it's looking like they're trying to settle their nasty divorce.

The two of them were photographed Wednesday walking into the law offices of Rachel's lawyer. That's significant because the law firm famously repped Katie Holmes, who settled her divorce with Tom Cruise in record time.

TMZ broke the story ... the relationship blew up last month after Rachel called 911 on Matt following a fight in which Matt hurled insults at Rachel and she fired back with a few slaps. He filed for divorce Monday citing "cruel and inhumane treatment" -- something Rachel called defamatory.

Proof Jay Cutler actually went through with it -- Kristin Cavallari just posted this happy wedding photo with her new hubby ... nearly TWO YEARS after he torpedoed their first engagement by dumping her ass.

At least this wedding dress turned out better than the last ones ...

Second time's a charm.

Michael Lohan says he's not surprised that ex-MLB star Dwight "Doc" Gooden is trash talking him ... telling TMZ, Gooden is still bitter because Michael recently tried to get him to go back to rehab.

Michael -- who was on "Celebrity Rehab" with Gooden in 2011 -- tells us, "I am sorry that Dwight is in such a bad place. He used to stay in touch with me but he fell off the wagon and into his dugout mode."

Michael is lashing back after Gooden told Jim Rome that he believes Michael is responsible for Lindsay Lohan going off the rails.

Michael is obviously upset, adding, "I am surprised he said that, but maybe it's because I work in the recovery business and I recently tried to get him to go into treatment."

Ex-baseball star Dwight 'Doc' Gooden uncorked a verbal beanball at Michael Lohan -- calling him a rehab nightmare, and the root of Lindsay Lohan's problems.

Gooden's not the first to say that ... but he does have firsthand experience with Lindsay's dad -- they did a stint on "Celebrity Rehab" together back in 2011.

Doc, who's as famous for baseball glory as his battles with drug addiction, told Jim Rome ... "He was definitely a head case. I can kinda understand why Lindsay has the problems she has."

Even though Doc says Michael was the most screwed up of his 'Rehab' castmates ... you gotta check out the clip to see which one almost made him quit the show.

Chad Johnson patted his lawyer's ass in court Monday as a sign of respect ... so claims the tapee, attorney Adam Swickle.

Swickle filed legal docs -- just obtained by TMZ -- in which he pleads with the judge to reconsider her decision to throw out Chad's plea deal and throw him in the slammer for 30 days -- all because she believed the former NFLer disrespected the court with the tap.

In the legal docs, Chad's lawyer says "Mr. Johnson has been a professional football player in the National Football League for eleven (11) years and patting another individual on the backside is viewed as a sign of respect and gratitude."

Swickle also noted that Chad was goaded into finding some form of compliment by the judge herself, who told him to thank his lawyer.

As for the judge's outrage that people in the court were laughing at the ass tap ... Swickle says, "This is not Mr. Johnson's fault and he should not be punished for the actions of third parties."

Chad Johnson did NOT deserve 30 days in jail after slapping his lawyer's butt ... so says the Attorney General of Florida who tells TMZ ... Chad's punishment doesn't fit the crime.

We asked FL Atty. Gen. Pam Bondi how she felt about Judge Kathleen McHugh throwing the book at Chad after he tapped his lawyer's butt in court yesterday ... and here's the answer we got:

"Although we never condone domestic violence, this event seems to question judicial temperament, not the subject matter before the court."

So, what does it all mean? Here's Harvey to break it down ...

Chad Johnson has filed a motion asking the judge who jailed him Monday to reconsider her ruling ... TMZ has learned.

Adam Swickle, the lawyer whose ass was slapped by the former NFLer, filed the legal docs ... claiming Johnson meant no disrespect when he tapped the attorney on the rear.

As we previously reported ... Johnson was in court on a probation violation in his domestic violence case when the judge was about to accept a settlement that did NOT involve jail. After the ass slap, the judge tossed the settlement and threw Johnson in the pokey for 30 days.

A hearing is set for Monday. In the meantime, Johnson sits in the slammer.

Cincinnati Bengals star Pacman Jones just pleaded NOT GUILTY to assault ... after allegedly socking a woman in the face outside of a Cincinnati nightclub last week.

Jones insists he was "protecting himself" during the June 5 incident ... after a woman appeared to pour a drink on the 29-year-old cornerback outside of a Cincinnati nightclub.

Just yesterday, surveillance video of the incident surfaced ... appearing to show the woman lunging toward Jones with a drink in her hand. The person believed to be Jones reacts by clocking her in the face ... hard.

The woman pressed assault charges ... police characterized her injuries as minor ... and just yesterday, Pac turned himself in to police.

Now, with Jones entering a not guilty plea ... it's clear he's digging in for a legal war.

Chad has just filed a motion asking the judge to reconsider the ruling.

10:46 AM PT -- Chad is currently at jail and is being booked.

7:55 AM PT -- Chad was arrested in the courtroom and has been ordered to serve 30 days in jail.

7:45 AM PT -- Chad and his attorney are back in front of the judge ... apologizing ... and desperately trying to convince the judge to accept the original terms of the deal.

Chad Johnson was just kicked out of a Florida courtroom ... after the former NFL star playfully slapped his male lawyer's ass -- a move that ENRAGED the judge, TMZ has learned.

Johnson was in court in Broward County, FL to face the judge for his recent probation violation in his domestic violence case.

During the hearing, the judge and Chad's lawyer were about to finalize the terms of Chad's punishment -- terms that were pretty favorable to Chad.

But the whole thing fell apart at the last minute, when the judge asked Chad if he was satisfied with his attorney -- and the ex-NFL star reached back and playfully slapped his lawyer's ass.

Chad smiled ... the court erupted with laughter .... but the judge wasn't amused.

In fact, the judge found the move disrespectful -- and lashed out at Johnson ... asking him if the whole proceeding was a "joke" to him.

Johnson replied, "I had no intent to make this a joke, because my life is in shambles right now."

The judge -- who lost her patience -- suddenly announced that Chad's deal was OFF ... and kicked him out of the courtroom.

Tim Tebow is in a GREAT situation in New England ... so says "Sunday Night Football" sportscaster Cris Collinsworth who tells TMZ ... Bill Belichick is a GENIUS.

Collinsworth was strollin' Rodeo Drive with his family yesterday when he talked about the biggest signing in the NFL -- Tebow to the Patriots.

"I'm happy for him," Cris said ... "Bill Belichick's a genius, he'll figure out a way to make it work."

As for what position Tebow could play -- Cris says he still believes Tim's a playoff caliber QB.

3:47 AM PT: Hahn is asking for custody of their 1-year-old as well as child support and spousal support.

Hahn states in his divorce filing he wants the divorce on grounds of "cruel and inhuman treatment ... such that the conduct of the defendant [Rachel] so endangers the physical or mental well being of the plaintiff as renders it unsafe or improper for the plaintiff to cohabit with the defendant."

Although Hahn is asking for an "equitable distribution of marital assets," it's pretty certain Rachel's settlement with Tiger Woods will remain hers.

Rachel Uchitel is getting divorced after a stormy relationship that blew up last month when she called 911 on her husband ... TMZ has learned.

Sources connected with the couple tell TMZ ... Rachel's husband, Matt Hahn, filed for divorce Monday, citing "cruel and inhumane treatment."

Our sources say ... there were many explosive, verbal arguments. We're also told Matt alleges Rachel slapped him after he repeatedly called her names. FYI, Matt is a former Penn State football player.

As for the 911 call ... we're told Rachel called NYC cops on May 16 after a particularly nasty verbal argument, asking for help in getting Matt out of the house. We're told Rachel did not follow up and did not pursue charges against Matt.

Rachel and Matt were married a year-and-a-half ago. They have a 1-year-old daughter.

Rachel's rep, Howard Bragman, tells TMZ, "It is Ms. Uchitel's goal to resolve this action amicably, quickly and quietly and not in the media."

Marcellus Wiley thinks 51-year-old Herschel Walker is CRAZY for thinking he can make an MMA comeback ... because as the old saying goes, "Father Time is undefeated."

Our photog spotted the former NFL star (and current ESPN Radio host) outside of Pink Taco this weekend. After first giving his blessing to Miley Cyrus and her burgeoning twerking career ... Wiley put the kibosh on Walker's fighting one.

As Wiley put it, "Let it go. I would hate to see Herschel Walker make it through all he's been through and now get crushed in UFC."

But Wiley did say HE could dominate the UFC and even threw down a challenge to a certain UFC star no one should ever mess with.

Shawne Merriman looked like a million bucks walking out of the gym today in L.A. -- completely laughing off rumors that he suffered from a drug overdose last night.

As we reported, the 29-year-old retired NFL star was transported from Colony nightclub to an L.A. hospital around 9:30pm Sunday night, following a 911 call reporting that he had possibly OD'd.

The caller said Merriman was "barely conscious" -- but just hours later, following his brief trip to the hospital, Merriman was back at the club looking like normal.

New surveillance footage has surfaced appearing to show NFL star Adam "Pacman" Jones bashing a woman in the face outside of an Ohio nightclub after she seemingly poured a drink on him.

Pacman insists he was merely "protecting himself" during the Wednesday night altercation outside of a Cincinnati nightclub ... and judging from the video, it seems the woman made the first aggressive move.

The footage (around the 1:55 mark) shows a woman reaching over to Pacman with what appears to be a drink in her hand. It seems the woman poured her drink on Jones ... and he reacted by unleashing a punch to her head.

The woman filed a police report accusing Jones of assault -- and earlier today, the Cincinnati Bengals player turned himself in.

Tim Tebow's prayers have been answered ... 'cause the former Heisman Trophy winner is reportedly all set to ink a deal with the New England Patriots.

The details surrounding the deal are still unclear ... but according to ESPN, Tebow is expected to report to minicamp TOMORROW.

Chances are ... Tebow won't ever play a down at QB, 'cause there's this guy on the team named Tom Brady ... but clearly, coach Bill Belichick's got a plan for the guy.

Tebow was released by the New York Jets a few months ago ... after a lackluster season in which he BARELY saw the field.

But like some other people Tim's familiar with, his career is experiencing an unexpected resurrection.
