A pro football coach is under fire for a locker room tirade in which he asked the players if they were "f**king retarded" ... but it didn't go down in the NFL -- it happened in a female football league.

TMZ has learned ... the Legends Football League (formerly known as the Lingerie Football League) is investigating Seattle Mist head coach Chris Michaelson for an angry expletive-filled halftime speech delivered during last week's matchup with the Green Bay Chill.

During the rant, Michaelson went full Rutgers on this team -- blasting his players for giving up a last-second TD before the half -- screaming, "Are you guys just f**king retarded???"

A rep for the league tells TMZ the matter is under review by the commissioner’s office ... explaining, "Everything is in line as far as what is expected from a football locker room, but we don't condone the use of the word retarded.”

Lakers forward Jordan Hill's ex-girlfriend is suing him over an alleged domestic violence incident -- the same incident he pled no contest to in criminal court last year ... TMZ has learned.

According to the suit filed by Darlene Luna today in L.A. County ... she and Hill got in a knock-down, drag-out fight at his Houston apartment back in February, 2012.

Luna alleges Hill punched her in the legs multiple times ... "as if they were punching bags" -- and also threw her down and put her in "a choke-hold, constricting her throat for a terrifying duration."

Hill was charged criminally for the incident last year and struck a deal -- getting a one-year deferred sentence and a $500 fine in exchange for his 'no contest' plea.

Luna is now seeking unspecified damages. She's represented by Gloria Allred.

Reggie Bush fielded the greatest question of his football career last night -- and by the greatest, we mean the funniest ... because even Reggie couldn't hold back his laughter.

Reggie was in Bev Hills when we brought up his new 4-year, $16 million contract with the Detroit Lions -- and you can't talk Lions running backs without talking about the legendary #20, right?

So ... the question: "Do you think you could possibly be the next Barry Sanders?"

Kris Humphries swindled a Bev Hills suit shop out of thousands of dollars in designer threads ... by promising to deliver NBA clients in exchange for a discount ... this according to a new lawsuit.

K.H. is being sued by Scott Hill -- who claims he was approached by Kris and Kim Kardashian a few years ago in the hopes he would provide clothes for Kris.

According to the lawsuit, Hill says he struck an interesting deal with Kris -- I'll give you a 30% discount on clothes if you introduce me to at least 2 of your NBA player friends to my store within 12 months.

Hill says the NBA players didn't even have to buy anything -- he just wanted an intro. Easy enough, right?

According to Hill's suit, Kris agreed to the deal ... and proceeded to buy more than $46k in merchandise using his massive discount.

Problem is ... Hill claims Kris not only failed to deliver on his end of the bargain ... but he still owes more than $6k in unpaid suit bills.

NFL star Kerry Rhodes -- who's been in the league since 2005 -- tells TMZ he's not gay ... despite reports suggesting otherwise.

Photos surfaced Thursday on MediaTakeOut.com showing 30-year-old Rhodes with his arm around a male friend. The site didn't say outright Rhodes was gay, but there was a strong insinuation ... not that there's anything wrong with it.

But Rhodes says he's as straight as an arrow -- telling TMZ, "Photos have been circulating of my former assistant and I that have caused some rumors regarding my sexuality, and I wanted to address the situation."

Rhodes then says flatly, "I am not gay."

Rhodes explains: "The shots were taken during a past vacation in a casual environment with my entire business team."

Rhodes says when it comes to being supportive of gay professional athletes coming out, he's on Magic Johnson's team: "I know a lot of people are recently talking about athletes struggling to come out to their fans right now, and I support them, as well as wish those individuals comfort."

Rhodes -- who played for the Cardinals last year -- is now a free agent.

Might as well tailor that green jacket for Tiger Woods ... 'cause his 5'10" blonde good luck piece -- aka Lindsey Vonn -- showed up for round one of The Masters.

LV turned up at Augusta National to support her man wearing a giant floppy hat ... perhaps to make sure cameras can find her all day while she follows Tiger?

Oscar Pistorius says the constant snarking about his murder charge is killing him.

The former Olympian's family issued a statement whining about South African tabloids and social media boo-birds, saying they are deeply disturbed by the "disregard that is being shown by some ... for the profound pain that Reeva’s family and friends are going through."

"For Oscar the process is 'incredibly overwhelming' as he struggles not only to deal with manner in which he lost his girlfriend, but also his role in it." (Read: The part where he shot her multiple times back in February -- he claims he thought she was an intruder).

The statement goes on and on ...

"There is not a moment in the day that Oscar does not mourn for his girlfriend and Reeva’s family, and all those who were close to her, are in his thoughts constantly."

Not that it's slowing him down ... Pistorius is free on bail and was seen jogging on a track in South Africa last month.

Don't mess with Black Jesus ... or YOU WILL PAY ... just ask Knicks stud J.R. Smith, whose ass just lost a $48,000 lawsuit involving a diamond necklace that features an Afro-American rendition of the Messiah.

A jewelry company called Lemmerman's sued Smith, claiming he ordered a bunch of bling back in 2010 -- including a diamond chain, two Black Jesus pendants and some earrings -- totaling $25,500 ... but never paid.

We're told one Jesus pendant and chain cost roughly $15,000 alone.

Lemmerman's sued for $48,101 -- which includes the jewelry bill plus interest and attorney's fees -- but Smith never responded to the suit ... so a judge ruled in Lemmerman's favor.

Smith has now been ordered to pay the $48,000 asap ... or else. Calls to Smith's people weren't returned.

Ex-NBA star Dikembe Mutombo's outrageous caper to score millions in a shady gold deal got a flight attendant arrested for SIX weeks in the Congo ... according to a new lawsuit filed by the woman.

We won't wade too deep into details, but basically Mutombo was allegedly hoping to score $10 million by flipping Congolese gold -- and it all went haywire when wanted warlord Bosco Ntaganda got involved.

According to her suit, flight attendant Kelly Shannon was part of the crew aboard the plane Mutombo chartered to fly his associates and $7 million to pick up the gold ... back in February 2011.

In the docs, Shannon says their departure from the Congo was delayed for 2 days, and when the gold was finally being loaded onto the plane ... armed guards showed up, arrested everyone, and held them at a hotel for the next 42 days.

Mutombo (aka Dikembe Mutombo Mpolondo Mukamba Jean-Jacques Wamutombo) was never on the flight, but Shannon's lawsuit accuses him of being reckless for sending her and the crew into a situation he knew would be dangerous.

Shannon claims she's suffered severe emotional trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder -- and she's demanding unspecified damages.

Put your hands on Kobe Bryant ... he's gonna put a beatdown on you -- even if you're his coach.

During an interview with Jim Rome ... Kobe reacted to the infamous video of now-fired Rutgers coach Mike Rice getting physical with his players, saying if he was on that team ... "I woulda smacked the hell out of him. No question about it."

It's interesting since Kobe never played college hoops -- going straight from high school to the NBA -- but he points out that as an 18-year-old he didn't take crap from Shaquille O'Neal ... so why would he take it from a coach.

Seattle Seahawks superstar Richard Sherman is "ill-informed" when it comes to Adderall ... and should immediately stop pressing the league to un-ban the drug before someone gets hurt ... this according to the NFL.

The league has released an aggressive statement in response to Sherman's recent pro-Adderall comments -- in which Sherman says the NFL should "allow it" because "about half the league takes it."

A rep for the NFL tells TMZ ... "The comments are ill-informed and inaccurate. Adderall is easily detected under current testing and will result in a suspension absent an approved therapeutic use exemption."

The rep continues, "If his statement were true, we would be seeing many more positive tests and suspensions."

"More importantly, his comments are irresponsible, as they ignore the serious medical risks and documented public health crisis associated with the improper use of Adderall and similar drugs.”

Triple H's body is scarred up with 2nd degree burns he suffered at WrestleMania last weekend ... but he wasn't scorched by fire ... the culprit was dry ice.

HHH suffered nasty burns to his torso and arm after he walked through a special effects machine that was blasting dry ice to create a smoky effect as the wrestler made his grand entrance.

The dry ice stuck to H3's body and burned him up ... but during the event, Triple H ignored the pain and shrugged it off like it was no big deal.

Fans, who clearly didn't understand the seriousness of the situation, began to mock the wrestler online ... so Triple H took to Twitter to show what really happened.

Kim Kardashian just filed her divorce witness list ... and it's now clear as can be -- Kim's lawyer is calling a bunch of witnesses who were involved in the prenup to show Kris knew EXACTLY what he was getting into before saying "I do."

As you know, Kris is claiming he was defrauded into marrying Kim ... left in the dark about her true intentions. But now we know 6 witnesses will testify that Kris was actively involved in every detail surrounding the prenup.

In fact, sources connected with the couple tell us ... Kim and Kris were constantly bickering over details in the prenup and that he was as interested in the business of marriage as she was.

Among the witnesses ... 2 managers who were heavily involved in the prenup, at least one lawyer involved in the document and a court reporter who was present when the prenup was signed.

There are other witnesses who will testify about the prenup, including Kim and Kris Jenner.

Short story -- the mission of Kim's lawyer is clear -- Kris went into this eyes wide open.

Chris Bosh's wife Adrienne hit a Caribbean beach with their adorable 11-month-old son -- who was udderly overshadowed by his mom's booty-FILLED bikini.

Hank Baskett -- the ex-NFL player who fumbled away the 2010 Super Bowl -- has his hands full with a new legal problem ... all over his involvement with a high-end L.A. gym ... TMZ has learned.

Baskett -- aka Kendra Wilkinson's husband -- is being sued by a couple of businessmen who invested in his "Performance Gaines" gym ... co-owned by Baskett's personal trainer Travelle Gaines (hence the name). The gym opened last fall.

The guys behind the lawsuit -- Jory Wolf and Nicholas Lorenz -- claim they dumped six figures into the project before Baskett's name was even attached to it ... and got left high and dry with nothing to show for it.

Wolf and Lorenz are pointing the finger primarily at Gaines, claiming Gaines tricked them into investing their money by promising a 40% share in the "Performance Gaines" business ... and then yanked the rug from underneath them, giving away their shares to other partners.

According to the lawsuit, Baskett was one of those partners ... so his hands are dirty too.

Wolf and Lorenz are suing for unspecified damages.

They've each made a SOLID case to be considered the greatest athlete of all time ... and this weekend, Michael Jordan and Michael Phelps finally battled it out ... on the golf course.

Mike and Mike grabbed their clubs and hit the links in Vegas for the 12th Annual Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational at Shadow Creek in North Las Vegas.

So, which Mike emerged victorious?

PHELPS ... by a stroke!!

The Olympic swimmer shot a 72 ... while Jordan shot a 73.

In the meantime, another celebrity power game was underway in L.A. -- Justin Timberlake vs. Kiefer Sutherland.
