Ex-NBA player Shawne Williams has pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance following his December arrest ... when cops busted him for smoking a blunt inside his Porsche.

As TMZ previously reported ... Williams was popped in a parking lot in Tennessee after a cop said he smelled weed coming from inside Williams' Panamera. Williams reportedly confessed to the officer that he had weed and codeine (cough syrup) in his car.

Following the arrest, Williams was charged with possession of a controlled substance (for the weed) and possession with intent to sell (for the codeine).

Williams pled guilty to weed possession today and was sentenced to one day in jail and a $500 fine. He was given credit for time served and has already paid the fee.

The codeine charge was dropped after the passenger in Williams' car claimed it was his ... not Williams'.

The lesson: always have a friend around to share the blame.

Oscar Pistorius is planning a private memorial service to honor his girlfriend, whom he shot and killed on Valentine's Day.

The memorial for 29-year-old Reeva Steenkamp is scheduled to take place tonight at the home of Oscar's uncle, where the Olympic sprinter has been staying since he was released on bail last week.

Oscar's rep released a statement, saying, "Oscar specifically requested the memorial service as he continues to grieve and remains in deep mourning for the loss of his partner Reeva."

The rep adds, "Since it is such a sensitive issue, Oscar has asked for a private service with people who share his loss, including his family members who knew and loved Reeva as one of their own."

Oscar -- who stands accused of murdering Steenkamp -- claims he shot her by accident, thinking she was an intruder.

Late L.A. Lakers owner Jerry Buss suffered from prostate cancer before ultimately succumbing to kidney failure ... this according to his death certificate.

According to the doc, Buss suffered from metastatic sarcomatoid prostate cancer in the 15 months leading to his death on February 18th. The cancer is listed as the second underlying cause of death.

It was widely reported that Dr. Buss was battling cancer before his death, but the cancer was never specified.

The immediate cause of death is listed as renal (kidney) failure, and the first underlying cause of death is listed as respiratory failure.

Buss was 80. He's survived by his 6 children.

Elin Nordegren curbed her hatred for Tiger Woods long enough to co-parent at a youth sports event -- which, luckily for Tiger, did not involve golf ... or golf clubs.

Erin Andrews was caught completely off guard at the Daytona 500 today when she randomly bumped into 50 Cent ... and then proceeded to awkwardly dodge his attempt at a kiss.

Andrews was working the event for FOX and was trying to score an interview with Danica Patrick. She couldn't find Patrick, but did run into 50 ... who went in for a kiss, but Andrews turned her head to the side and the kiss was ruined.

To make matters worse, Andrews left 50 behind to continue her search for Patrick ... but 50 tagged along anyway. As soon as Andrews realized she wasn't going to find Patrick -- and was instead left with just 50 -- she immediately tossed it back to the show's hosts.

It was a little more difficult than expected, but Ronda Rousey -- the first-ever UFC female champion -- defended her title with a first round submission at UFC 157 last night in Anaheim.

Rousey's victory marked the first female fight in the near 20-year history of the UFC. She is now 7-0 and has finished off each of her opponents with the same move ... an armbar ... and all of them in the first round.

Rousey's opponent, Liz Carmouche, nearly had Rousey set up for a rear-naked choke early, but Rousey countered and eventually went on to win.

Oscar Pistorius' older brother faces up to 15 YEARS in the slammer for allegedly killing a female biker during a fatal car crash -- this according to new reports.

Carl Pistorius has been charged with culpable homicide -- according to eNCA news, a South African TV channel -- stemming from a car crash in 2010, in which prosecutors say his reckless driving led to the death a motorcyclist.

Carl's lawyer recently told the station that Carl "deeply regrets the accident," but was adamant his client was not drunk at the the time of the collision, adding, "There is no doubt that [he] is innocent and the charge will be challenged in court."

Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren haven't been photographed together in an eternity ... UNTIL TODAY ... and TMZ has the photos.

Woods and Nordegren both showed up at an event in Jupiter, FL for a local youth sports organization. According to our spies, Tiger arrived to the event first with his son and daughter and Elin arrived about an hour later.

We're told that when their paths finally did cross, they chatted together for about 30 minutes and appeared to enjoy each other's company.

Our sources say that once the pair started to get attention, they took off ... both leaving in Elin's car.

A multicar crash on the final lap of the Nationwide Series race Saturday at Daytona International Speedway injured 28 fans, including one who suffered life-threatening head trauma.

At least one tire flew into the crowd at Daytona International Speedway ... where 14 of the injured were treated on site and the other 14 were transferred off-site.

A representative from nearby Halifax Medical Center told ESPN that one adult underwent surgery for life-threatening head trauma, and a 14-year-old is in critical, but not life-threatening condition.

Kyle Larson, the driver of the car that was torn to pieces, was not injured.

Oscar Pistorius is a free man while his case winds through the legal system of South Africa. Did he get special treatment, and did he murder Reeva Steenkamp? We gotta ask ...

Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson -- aka Purple Jesus ... aka one of the greatest running backs of all time -- says he'll NEVER LET HIS SON PLAY FOOTBALL!!!

Peterson was out in Houston last week for All-Star Weekend -- carrying his young son -- when he said, "This is Adrian Jr. He won't be playing football."

There are a million possible reasons for why a dad wouldn't let his son play football -- but coming from one of the greatest NFL players ever, it's pretty shocking.

The likely explanation ... the game of football has recently come under intense scrutiny for its long-term health risks -- following the high-profile suicides of several NFL stars, including Junior Seau.

Even President Obama has commented on the health concerns -- saying if he had a son, he would have to think about whether he would let him play football.

Reeva Steenkamp's father is speaking out about his daughter's death, saying Oscar Pistorius will suffer the consequences of a guilty conscience if it turns out he's lying about Reeva's killing.

Barry Steenkamp told the South African newspaper Beeld, "It doesn't matter how much money [Oscar] has and how good his legal team is, he will have to live with his conscience if he allows his legal team to lie for him."

Barry continues, "But if he is telling the truth, then perhaps I can forgive him one day. If it didn't happen the way he said it did, he must suffer, and he will suffer ... only he knows."

Looks like Lenny Dykstra's going full Gandalf for his jaunt in the pokey -- TMZ obtained his never-before-seen mug shot ... and the former MLB star is sporting the makings of a fierce gray beard.

In case you missed it ... Dykstra is currently behind bars for a looong list of crimes ... this includes grand theft auto, bankruptcy fraud ... and not one, but two lewd Craigslist incidents.

By the make of his mug shot, Dykstra's clearly prepping himself for the long haul ... and what better way to do so than by taking a cue from the cast of "Duck Dynasty."

The WWE has a message for Glenn Beck -- if you're gonna talk smack about the organization ... BE A MAN ... AND DO IT IN PERSON!!

Beck has been on the attack against the "stupid wrestling people" at WWE after they introduced a new character named Zeb Colter -- who Beck described as "a villain who just happens to be a racist Tea Partier."

Beck -- clearly offended by the character -- went on a tear on his radio show recently ... blasting the WWE for mocking him ... and claiming the WWE is entertainment for dumb people.

Now, the WWE is firing back ... with Zeb and his pal Jack Swagger recording a new video statement for Beck, in which they break character and explain that what they do is simply harmless entertainment .. that's no different from "NCIS" and "Glee."

The WWE superstars also make a real challenge to Beck -- inviting the political commentator to address the "stupid" wrestling community live and directly on "Monday Night Raw."

A judge just GRANTED Oscar Pistorius bail, saying the Olympian is NOT a flight risk. And get this ... bail was set at $112,771.

Pistorius was in court -- along with 2 members of Reeva Steenkamp's family -- as the decision went down. Pistorius' family and friends were cheering the decision in the courtroom.

The judge said it was highly improbable Pistorius could flee the country, given his fame and the fact that he's a double amputee. As Pistorius' lawyer noted, going through airport security would trigger multiple alarms.

And, the judge said, the prosecutor did not prove Pistorius had a propensity for violence -- meaning he would probably not kill again while out on bail.

Before ruling, the judge asked the prosecutor an interesting question -- If Pistorius' story was that he believed an intruder was in his bathroom, why didn't he "stage" a break-in to make his story more believable? The prosecutor conceded, "The fact that we have only one survivor of that tragic night is difficult for the state."

The prosecutor argued ... proving premeditation doesn't mean Pistorius had to plan the murder the night before ... "He planned it that night when she locked herself in [the bathroom].

Pistorius' lawyer suggested that the charge should be lowered -- to "culpable homicide" -- meaning the Olympian didn't have the intent to kill Steenkamp at all but that it was a "tragic mistake."

And Pistorius' running coach said before today's hearing if he gets out on bail, he'll train Pistorius to "get his mind kind of clear."

TMZ has the never-before-seen footage of Robbie shooting "AIR.CRAFT" for DC Shoes -- and it includes shots of him pulling a Ruler over a mothballed airplane.

It looks like the stunt goes off without a hitch ... but in reality, Robbie separates his right shoulder in the middle of it -- and paramedics had to rush him to a hospital.

Robbie did all of Daniel Craig's motorcycle stunts in "Skyfall" ... and says the movie's stunt coordinator, Gary Powell, helped him come up with the insane jumps for 'AIR.'

"Gary would describe motorcycle stunts he hasn't been able to do in the movie world and I was like, that's totally possible."

Another casualty on set was the high-def video camera that got smashed into the ground during a low-angle driving shot -- a simple quarter-of-a-million-dollar blunder.
