Boston Celtics star Leandro Barbosa doesn't need a red suit and a beard to play Santa -- in fact, the guard handed out piles of gifts to underprivileged children in Boston yesterday ... wearing nothing but normal street clothes.

A rep for Barbosa tells TMZ, he threw a giant holiday party at the Lenox Housing Development for roughly 80 children -- between the ages of 6 and 16 -- just because he felt like giving back to the community.

Along with a huge array of gifts -- one for each kid -- Barbosa brought 30 delicious PIZZAS.

Javaris Crittenton -- ex-NBA star and accused murderer -- is now being accused of slapping his baby mama in the face while she was breastfeeding their 1-day-old child ... TMZ has learned.

Crittenton has temporarily been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from Tyress Daniels and their newborn son ... after she filed court docs outlining a pattern of domestic violence.

In the docs, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Daniels claims JC attacked her on three separate occasions. The first incident allegedly took place when she was pregnant and he roughed her up in a hotel room.

According to Daniels, the 2nd incident occurred at a hospital on Nov. 1 -- less than 24 hours after she gave birth to their son.

Daniels claims, "I was breastfeeding the baby and we got into an argument over what the baby would wear for pictures. Javaris hit me in the face while I was breastfeeding because he said I had a smart mouth."

Daniels claims Javaris tried to grab the baby and leave ... but hospital security rushed in and stopped him. He was eventually kicked out of the room.

According to the docs, Daniels claims JC got rough with her a 3rd time on Nov. 26 ... scratching her face and busting her lip. She also claims Javaris later sent her a text message saying she would end up like her "dead mother" and he will have the child.

After Daniels filed the docs, a judge awarded temporary custody of the kid to Daniels -- and set a hearing for next month ... when the judge will decide if the restraining order will become more permanent.

The ever-tough Mike says he's not scared -- adding he and Landon are good.

As for the rest of the soccer community -- Mike smartly adds, "If I in any way, even accidentally, have done anything to cause deleterious effects to the American soccer team ... I apologize wholeheartedly."

Landon and Bianca -- who stars on "Rules of Engagement" -- were married in 2006. Landon filed for divorce in 2010.

Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen set a new record last week at a production of "A Christmas Carol" in the Windy City -- playing the first ever 6'8" 19th-century London townsman in the play -- and it was all for a good cause.

The director of "A Christmas Carol" at Chicago's Goodman Theatre tells TMZ, they created the role just for Pippen -- "He is a business man in the town and he becomes a part of the crowd scenes where we celebrate Christmas morning."

As you can see, Pippen blends right in.

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel begged Jovan Belcher to put down his handgun and not kill himself during a tense standoff on December 1st ... telling the player, "You're taking the easy way out."

The Kansas City PD just released new documents from the murder/suicide investigation ... in which witnesses describe the sad moments before the NFL linebacker shot himself in the head.

Belcher had driven to the Chiefs practice facility after shooting the mother of his child Kasandra Perkins at their home ... and, while carrying a handgun, had a conversation with Chiefs GM Scott Pioli in the parking lot.

According to witnesses, Belcher told Pioli ... "I'm sorry Scott, I've done a bad thing to my girlfriend already. I want to talk with Gibbs and Romeo."

He continued, "You know that I've been having some major problems at home and with my girlfriend. I need help! I wasn't able to get enough help. I appreciate everything you all have done for me with trying to help ... but it wasn't enough. I have hurt my girl already and I can't go back now."

According to witnesses, Crennel arrived to the parking lot and pled with Belcher to put the gun down ... saying, "You're taking the easy way out."

Crennel told cops Jovan briefly lowered the gun to chamber a round, then he blessed himself by making a cross sign on his chest ... and then he fired one shot into his head, killing himself.

During the investigation, witnesses -- including Crennel -- told police that Belcher and his girlfriend had been arguing about money.

In the report, cops say, "[Crennel] stated that he got the impression that Ms. Perkins wanted to live a better life and expected to live a better life because she was with an NFL player."

Crennel also told cops Jovan was "smart with his money and didn't live outside his means."

Kate Upton and Lindsay Lohan have something in common ... because Kate's assets were FROZEN recently -- when the curvaceous 20-year-old model stripped down to her skivvies for an Antarctica photo shoot ... where the temperature hit 35 BELOW!!!

We're told Upton and a camera crew boarded a private 10-day cruise from Argentina to Antarctica for a super-secret Sports Illustrated cover shoot. The cruise departed November 29th and returned December 9th.

MMA fighter Ray Elbe -- who competed on "Ultimate Fighter 9" -- had to be rushed to a hospital in Malaysia earlier this month and required 10 stitches ... after he BROKE HIS PENIS during sex.

Elbe told the whole story -- in painfully graphic detail -- on an MMA website ... explaining how he was having sex with his GF, who was "on top" ... when she bounced a little too high, and crunched Ray's erect penis.

According to Ray, his penis "fractured" ... and "blood was everywhere." Ray says he immediately passed out from the pain.

Ray says he was rushed to a nearby hospital ... and underwent emergency surgery to close the wound and repair a "slight tear" in his urinary tube.

Elbe says the pain was so severe after the surgery, his johnson was "throbbing with each heart beat."

Elbe says he expects to make a full recovery -- and was ordered to take "anti-erection pills" for two weeks.

The fighter says he learned a hard lesson from the experience -- and will never let his GF be "on top" ever again.

Evelyn Lozada came face to face with her ex-husband Chad Johnson this morning -- the first time since his domestic violence arrest back in August -- and offered the NFL star a HUGE olive branch.

Evelyn and Chad both appeared in a Florida courtroom ... where Evelyn asked the judge to drop the restraining order that was placed against him after she told police he headbutted her during an argument.

After the incident, Evelyn quickly filed for divorce from Chad -- after just one month of marriage.

Chad has been on a tour of contrition on TV and the Internet ever since ... apologizing left and right ... and admitting he has an anger problem. Chad also revealed that he's getting professional help to deal with his rage issues.

During the court hearing, the judge asked Evelyn if she had been threatened or coerced into making the request to drop the order ... to which she replied, "No."

The judge also asked if she was afraid of Chad ... and she also replied, "No."

The judge granted Evelyn's request.

Former NFL star Hines Ward ... come on dooooooown ... it's time to play ARE YOU THE FATHER???

A woman named Melanie Smith filed a lawsuit in Georgia this month ... claiming the former Pittsburgh Steeler is the biological father of her 1-year-old daughter.

According to docs, Melanie wants Hines to admit he fathered the kid -- and if he refuses, she wants a judge to order a blood test in order to establish paternity.

The maybe baby mama is also asking Hines to start coughing up child support ... if it's determined the child is actually his.

A judge has yet to rule.

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis is going for the block ... against his baby mama who's trying to hire a forensic investigator to comb through his finances -- all in an attempt to squeeze more child support out of him.

You'll recall ... Lewis and his baby mama Sharnika Kelly are in a nasty battle over child support for their young son -- and earlier this year Sharnika asked a judge to throw out their current agreement, claiming when she signed the deal back in 2001, Ray never disclosed his full income.

Sharnika even asked to have a forensic investigator come in and determine how much the NFL star is actually worth -- in hopes to have the current $3,500-a-month order increased.

Now Ray is putting his foot down -- and recently filed legal docs in Florida asking a judge to bar his baby mama from looking through his finances.

In docs, Ray argues the order established in 2001 is totally legit -- and says that Sharnika had a lawyer when she signed, so if she wanted to fight it ... she should have done so WAY back then.

Injured New York Yankees powerhouse Alex Rodriguez isn't letting a little thing like MAJOR surgery get him down ... telling TMZ, there's no doubt in his mind he'll be aces in no time.

A-Rod spoke to us in Beverly Hills yesterday ... and we asked him about his upcoming SECOND hip surgery -- scheduled for January -- which is expected to knock him out of the season well into 2013.

But A-Rod wasn't fazed one bit by his current condition ... telling our camera guy he "can't wait to be back."
