2:15 PM PT -- Lachey has issued a statement about the situation on Twitter ... saying, "For the record, i was not kicked out of the chargers game for excessive 'trash talking'. no, that honor belonged to the guy in front of me!"

He added, "i simply don't appreciate someone turning around and putting their finger in my face. call me crazy, but that deserved a reaction."

Lachey also praised Chargers fans ... saying, "aside from a few exceptions, i had a great time hanging with Charger fans all afternoon. honestly, some of the nicest fans around."

Nick Lachey -- a HUGE Cincinnati Bengals fan -- was escorted out of the stands at the San Diego Chargers football game this weekend ... after security decided his TRASH TALK crossed the line.

It's unclear exactly what Nick said to piss off stadium security ... but after he was ejected, the former boy-bander actually BRAGGED about getting the boot, tweeting:

"Just got kicked out of the chargers stadium and couldn't be prouder! Go Cincy Bengals"

A short time later, AFTER Cincy defeated the crappy Chargers, Lachey tweeted again:

"Bengals win again. i'd talk trash to everyone in SD, but what's the point? you already had me kicked out of the stadium and you still lost."

As for the kid in the Chargers gear in the photo with Nick, he was just a random fan -- and after the game, the kid's dad fired off a tweet to Lachey:

"Thanks for taking the pic with my son and being cool to us. Congrats on the Bengals win!"

Jovan Belcher's family tells TMZ ... they are desperately trying to understand why the Kansas City Chiefs linebacker snapped this weekend ... and are praying for the family of the woman he killed.

As we previously reported, Belcher shot himself at the Chiefs facility in KC early Saturday morning after murdering Kasandra Perkins -- the mother of his newborn baby daughter.

Now, Belcher's family has issued a statement to TMZ ... saying, "As a family, no words can express the sorrow we feel over the loss of Jovan and Kasandra."

"The impact that this inconceivable tragedy has had on our heart is immeasurable; we are overwhelmed with both sadness and confusion. "

When L.A. Lakers star Steve Nash joined the team, he said one of the benefits was that he could be closer to his kids ... which is why his legal fight to keep his children out of California is bizarre.

Sources connected with the couple tell TMZ ... Nash's ex-wife Alejandra wants to move the former couple's three children from AZ to L.A. We're told Nash has objected and is waging a legal war to prevent it from happening.

Our sources say Alejandra hired one of the biggest divorce lawyers in L.A., Lance Spiegel, to fight Nash in both AZ and California courts.

As for why Nash doesn't want his kids moving closer to him, we called his rep but haven't heard back.

Based on our research, one thing's for sure ... Nash will get socked for WAYYY more child support in CA than AZ.

We're told there is a gag order in place ... so no one can talk about the case.

Spiegel told TMZ, "I can't comment on the information you attribute to sources connected with TMZ."

Here's a shocker, Shaun White does not snowboard every second of every day -- and the Olympic champ made that clear by dropping almost $4 mil on a brand new BEACH HOUSE!!!!

White recently nabbed the 3,500-square-foot crib in Encinitas, CA -- and despite the $4.25 mil price tag, the boarding master managed to knock off $400k in negotiations ... and bought it for a cool $3.85 mil.

Just one day after linebacker Jovan Belcher killed his girlfriend and then himself, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Carolina Panthers, 27-21.

Brady Quinn threw for 201 yards and two touchdowns and Jamaal Charles added 127 yards on the ground in the victory ... which is just the second of the season for the Chiefs.

Early Saturday morning, Belcher shot his girlfriend at their home, then drove to the team facility and thanked team personnel before he shot himself.

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher shot and killed his girlfriend early this morning, then drove to the team facility and committed suicide in front of his coach and general manager, this according to the Kansas City Police Department.

Police Capt. David Lindaman says that Belcher and his girlfriend -- who had just given birth to the couple's child three months earlier -- began arguing around 7:00 AM local time.

Lindaman says Belcher shot the woman multiple times and she was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Police say Belcher left the scene and drove to the stadium where he was confronted by team personnel, including GM Scott Pioli and head coach Romeo Crennel. According to police, they tried to keep Belcher from committing additional acts of violence.

Just as police arrived on the scene, they heard a gunshot and discovered Belcher had shot himself in the head. Cops say before firing the shot, Belcher thanked Pioli and Crennel for all they had done for him.

The coaches told police they never felt as if they were in danger.

Belcher had been with the Chiefs for four seasons after being undrafted out of the University of Maine.

The Chiefs host the Carolina Panthers tomorrow and the game will be going forward as planned. A team spokesman says Crennel plans to coach.

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher and girlfriend Kasandra Perkins were an extremely happy couple ... this according to Kasandra's family, who says news of the alleged murder/suicide this morning came as an "utter shock."

Members of Kasandra's family tell TMZ ... Jovan and Kasandra always seemed to be in love. In fact, we're told when Kasandra got pregnant, she and Jovan were "ecstatic." The family says ever since the baby was born in September, the two couldn't have seemed happier together.

The 22-year-old's family says they have NO IDEA why the relationship took a tragic turn this morning -- when Jovan allegedly shot and killed Kasandra before taking his own life -- and news of their deaths was both devastating and unexpected.

Ex-NBA star Stephon Marbury is refusing to pay another cent in hush money to a former mistress -- who worked as his private chef back in 2006 -- claiming his ex-lover isn't entitled to any cash ... because she blabbed their little secret to the world.

You'll recall, the mistress -- a woman named Thurayyah Mitchell -- filed court docs back in October, trying to force Marbury to make good on the $300,000 he allegedly owed her as part of their confidentiality agreement.

Mitchell claimed Marbury -- who's married with kids -- agreed to pay her $900,000 in exchange for her silence regarding the 2006 affair, but stopped making payments in 2010 ... after only coughing up $600,000.

The arbitrator ruled in Mitchell's favor, ordering Marbury to pay her an additional $330,000 -- but now, he's refusing to pay that sum.

Marbury has just filed legal docs of his own, insisting Mitchell gave up her right to that money by publicly filing court docs that detailed her affair with the basketball player.

According to Marbury, the documents violated the confidentiality agreement because they were filed publicly rather than under seal.

Gold medal-winning soccer star Hope Solo insists ... her new husband Jerramy Stevens has never laid a hand on her -- despite his assault arrest two weeks ago, following an alleged altercation between the couple.

There was lots of speculation that Stevens -- a former NFL tight end -- had attacked Solo, but she just released a statement, saying, "My beautiful husband & i happy as can be! [sic] Let me set the record straight!!! Jerramy has NEVER treated me poorly! The truth always prevails!”

Jerramy Stevens was arrested following the November 12th incident in Washington, when cops say they noticed blood on Hope's elbow.

The body of Hector "Macho" Camacho was loaded onto an airplane in Puerto Rico today -- a plane bound for the United States, where a private funeral is scheduled to be held this week.

As we reported, Camacho's mother had requested a private funeral to be held in New York City, where he will also be buried.

An open casket public viewing was held on Tuesday in PR. A private mass was held earlier this week.

Camacho passed away on Saturday from injuries he sustained during a drive-by shooting last week.

Ronda Rousey ain't ashamed to say it ... she's all about banging dudes before she steps into the octagon -- thereby cementing her place as the coolest chick in sports.

The MMA champ revealed her pre-fight sex rituals with Jim Rome on Showtime ... saying, "I try to have as much sex as possible before I fight, actually."
