Hope Solo BF Arrested After Domestic Incident [Update]

Published | Updated

Former NFL star Jerramy Stevens was arrested for assault early Monday morning following an incident involving his girlfriend Hope Solo ... this according to multiple reports.

Hope was spotted inside a Seattle courtroom this afternoon, where Stevens was facing a 4th degree assault charge stemming from an incident at a home in Kirkland, WA.

According to Chris Daniels at KING-TV, cops say Solo and Stevens were involved in an altercation around 3:45 AM on Monday ... after arguing about where they will live after they get married -- Florida or Washington.

According to Daniels, cops found Solo with a small amount of blood on her elbow ... but she wasn't very cooperative with police.

1:52 PM PT -- Stevens is now off the hook ... because the judge decided there was not enough evidence to charge him with a crime. He has since been released from custody.

FYI -- Stevens was a bigshot tight end with the Seattle Seahawks ... and famously dropped several catches in Super Bowl XL ... because he was afraid of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Adrian Peterson Charges DROPPED in Cop-Shoving Case

Published | Updated

NFL superstar Adrian Peterson claims he's officially off the hook for resisting arrest ... after prosecutors decided there wasn't enough evidence to prove he shoved an off-duty cop at a Houston bar this summer.

As we previously reported, AP was arrested on July 7 after he allegedly got hostile and physical with an off-duty police officer who was trying to escort the seemingly hammered NFL star out of the bar.

Now, Peterson's lawyer is telling the media the Vikings running back testified before a grand jury today, which found there was not sufficient evidence to pursue the case against him.

After getting the news, Peterson texted an ESPN reporter, "They dropped the charges. Thank God.”

Peterson has always maintained he did nothing wrong that night -- telling reporters, "I'm 200% innocent."

Brendon -- who's heterosexual -- has been an outspoken gay rights advocate for years (which is pretty rare in the NFL) and now says he's taking the battle for marriage equality back to his native California.

Brendon says he's got some serious NFL back-up too -- with Vikings punter Chris Kluwe and Browns LB Scott Fujita who've already pledged their allegiance to the cause.

Ex-NFL Star Todd Marinovich Surgery Saved My Painting Biz

Published | Updated

Todd Marinovich is currently recovering from major surgery on his throwing hand (now his painting hand) -- but the ex-NFL quarterback tells TMZ the operation saved his new career.

Todd has become a pretty successful artist ever since a drug addiction ruined his once-promising football career. But he almost lost everything -- again -- when he woke up one morning without feeling in his left hand back in August.

The 43-year-old tells us ... he was diagnosed with a really nasty case of carpel tunnel syndrome ... and it was so bad, he couldn't even hold on to a dinner fork.

Eventually, doctors determined the only way to fix Todd's hand was through surgery -- so Marinovich went under the knife.

Todd says the ordeal was painful, but he's on the road to recovery and already "painting through it." His next project ... a Walter Payton piece.

NFL Star Antonio Brown Ordered to Fork Over Money to Baby Mama

Published | Updated

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown can put his new $42-million-contract to good use and finally pay his baby mama all the money he owes her ... which is what a judge has ordered him to to.

In legal docs filed in Florida, Shameika Brailsford -- who had a child with Brown back in 2007 -- claimed the NFL star failed to cough up child support for the last eight months ... to the tune of $6,000. Despite Brown's big payday, his child support obligation is only $750 a month

After reviewing the case, a judge came back last month and sided with Shameika. Brown was ordered to fork over the cash. He was also ordered to follow the custody rules ... i.e. let Shameika see her kid.

As TMZ first reported, Brailsford claimed back in January that AB took their kid to live in Pittsburgh without her permission and was preventing her from making contact.

A permanent solution for custody has yet to be reached.

A lawyer for Antonio Brown tells TMZ the NFL star will be current on his child support this week.

Evander Holyfield Assistant Sued Over Botched Auction

Published | Updated

Evander Holyfield's assistant is on the receiving end of an upper cut of a lawsuit by Julien's Auctions ... claiming she royally screwed them over on a planned auction of Evander's most famous memorabilia.

According to a lawsuit filed on Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Julien's entered into a deal with Holyfield back in July to sell off some of his boxing memorabilia in order to combat his financial woes.

Julien's claims his assistant, Toi Irvin, was part of the deal as well. According to Julien's, Irvin's role was to secure the memorabilia, obtain Holyfield's permission for each piece (remember that part, it's going to be important later), and assist with confirming the history behind each item. Julien's claims Irvin was given a consulting fee for her services.

But things went horribly wrong. Holyfield filed a lawsuit against Julien's earlier this month to block the auction, claiming he never gave permission to sell a majority of the items -- such as championship belts, an Olympic bronze medal and gloves he wore to fight Mike Tyson.

In their lawsuit, Julien's places the blame squarely on Irvin ... saying she botched the deal and "utterly and totally failed in her obligations."

Julien's claims they have laid out more than $500,000 in expenses to prepare for the auction as well as $20,000 to Irvin as an advance on her fee.

Julien's is seeking damages as yet to be determined, as well interest and court costs.

FUN FACT -- In addition to being his assistant, Irvin is also the mother of Evander's son Evan ... and once sued him for back child support.

Mike Brown Fired Lakers Coach Drowns Sorrows at Chick-fil-A

Published | Updated

Nothing softens the sting of being fired from the Los Angeles Lakers organization like a chicken sandwich ... just ask ex-coach Mike Brown ... who hit up a Chick-fil-A right after he got the chop today.

TMZ obtained photos of Brown hanging at a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Costa Mesa, CA around 11:30 AM ... just a few hours after news broke that he was fired from the team over their dismal 1-4 start.

We're told Brown was super-nice to fans ... taking pics and shaking hands ... but he never discussed the firing.

However, it appears Brown WAS in the mood to talk ... 'cause he was in the middle of a phone convo with legendary L.A. sports reporter Jim Hill when he stopped to take the above photo.

Brown seems to be handling the situation with class -- releasing a statement saying, "I have great respect for the Buss family and the Lakers’ storied tradition and I thank them for the opportunity they afforded me."
