Donovan McNabb Joining NFL Network ... as a Broadcaster
It seems Donovan McNabb's playing days are over ... TMZ has learned the quarterback has inked a deal to join the NFL Network as a broadcaster.
TMZ spoke with McNabb's rep Mark Lepselter who confirms McNabb has officially signed on ... adding, "He is going to be a part of their 'Playbook' show, as well as other platforms on the network."
We're told McNabb will tape the show in both New Jersey and Los Angeles.
Lepselter says Donovan is serious about his new gig ... telling us, "[Broadcasting] is something that he is going to devote 100% of his attention to."
"With that said, he does have some other areas in his life that he wants to pursue in this next phase ... business interests ... real estate in particular."
McNabb had a helluva 12-year career on the field -- starting with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1999 and ending with the Minnesota Vikings in 2011.

Dwight Howard I Was Pooping When Earthquake Hit
The 3.2 earthquake that rocked Beverly Hills this weekend definitely scared the crap out of Dwight Howard.
The newest member of the Los Angeles Lakers was leaving his Bev Hills hotel when we asked how he handled his very first L.A. earthquake, which hit Bev Hills at 3:36 AM on Monday.
"I was in the toilet ... and It shook me off the toilet," Dwight told us.
For the record, 3.2 is WEAK SAUCE ... the Northridge quake that hit back in 1994 was a 6.7 and lasted almost 20 seconds. The Sylmar quake in '71 was a 6.6.
So how does he feel about his new home now that he got his first taste of the tectonic terror?

Barry Bonds Of Course I Support Lance Armstrong*
How's this for irony ... Barry Bonds -- the poster child for steroid abuse in MLB -- is coming to Lance Armstrong's defense after the cyclist was banned from cycling for doping ... claiming Lance got screwed over ( ... of course).
Bonds -- who was found guilty last year of felony obstruction of justice for lying during a federal investigation into steroid use by MLB players -- was leaving BOA steakhouse last night in Hollywood, when he was asked what he thought of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency's ruling on Lance.
The photog asked Bonds if he thought Lance had been the victim of a witch hunt -- Bonds replied, "I don't know what they're doing, all I know is I love him. He's a great athlete."
Moral of the story -- for Bonds, the ends justify the means ... even if the means were dirty.

Chad Johnson TATTOOS Evelyn Lozada's Face on His Leg
Chad Johnson desperately wants to let Evelyn Lozada know he still cares about her ... so he went out and got an image of her FACE tattooed on his right leg with the name "Eve" underneath it.
Johnson posted the photo on his Twitter page today ... the image is his new profile pic featured at the top of his page. It's unclear if the tat is real ... or of the temporary variety. Sources tell us Chad got the work done this past weekend.
Either way, Chad may not be getting his money's worth from the ink -- sources close to Evelyn say she still feels strongly about divorcing Johnson ... and she's made it clear to friends she will NOT be getting back together with the former NFL star.
As we previously reported, Evelyn filed for divorce last month ... three days after Chad allegedly headbutted her during a heated argument.
Chad was arrested for domestic violence over the incident -- but officials are still deciding whether or not charges will be filed against him.
A rep for Chad had no comment on the story.

Javaris Crittenton Partying Like He Didn't Murder Anyone
From the way ex-NBA star Javaris Crittenton was partying in L.A. this weekend ... with a TON of hot chicks ... you'd never believe it's been almost a year since he was charged with murder.
The 24-year-old was outside Blok nightclub in Hollywood with at least 4 smokin' hot lady friends ... where he told us, "Everything is great man ... God is great."
Last September, Crittenton was in custody in Georgia ... after officials charged him with murder in the 2011 shooting death of 22-year-old Julian Jones.
As we previously reported, cops believe Crittenton was not aiming at Jones -- but rather someone else in the area who may have robbed the former basketball player earlier in the year.
Javaris was freed on bond, but the case is still pending. He's due in court later this month.
This weekend, Javaris still maintained his innocence ... telling us, "Legal issues ... I don't usually speak on ... but standing right here before you ... thank god for that ... innocent man."
Javaris says he's still training for the NBA and believes a comeback is in his future.
There was one other bizarre moment in our encounter --when we asked Javaris one of our patented random questions: "If you had to be on a deserted island for the rest of your life, would you rather be alone or with someone you hate?"
Crittenton's response -- "I would choose to be alone ... if you're with the wrong person, they'll drive you crazy ... and they'll kill you."
If you're with the wrong person, of course.

Mathieu was kicked off the team after he reportedly violated the school's substance abuse policy. He checked into rehab shortly after he was dismissed from the team.

Troy Aikman's Ex I Wasn't Drunk I Was Lost
The ex-wife of Dallas Cowboys legend Troy Aikman insists she did nothing wrong when she was arrested this week ... claiming she was just lost when cops found her in a high school parking lot.
As TMZ first reported, Rhonda Aikman was busted on Monday morning for public intoxication after cops found her in a parked car, saying she was slurring her words when she talked and had little control over her body movement.
Aikman's lawyer, Larry Friedman, tells TMZ that Rhonda was lost, the result of bad directions, and was simply waiting for a friend to come and show her the right way. Friedman says, "When the policemen approached her, she reacted the way any of us would have reacted if we were approached from behind by two large men dressed in black. Rhonda was frightened and probably did not appear to be her usual friendly self."
Friedman says Aikman is under a doctor's care and had a rightful prescription for the medication cops found. Friedman adds, "She did nothing wrong and did not break any laws. She is sorry about all the fuss and intends to continue to dedicate her time to helping people in need in North Texas."

Ex-NFL Star Jamal Lewis I'll Take Care of My Kid ... If He's Mine
Former NFL star Jamal Lewis is willing to accept responsibility for a child he's accused of abandoning -- and pony up support as well -- he just wants to make sure the kid is really his.
The child's mother -- Juanitta Johnson -- filed a paternity action against Lewis back in July, claiming the ex-NFL player knocked her up in 2005 ... and has failed to a penny in support the child.
Lewis was arrested in Georgia on August 1 for failing to pay child support and charged with misdemeanor child abandonment -- an arrest Lewis calls "a misunderstanding."
Now, Lewis is going to court in Fulton County -- claiming he doesn't want to pay child support until he knows 100% the kid is his ... with the help of a DNA test.
If paternity is established, Lewis says he'd be happy to pony up. He says he'll also want visitation rights.
The child's mother is asking for $5,236/month in support ... which could prove difficult, given that Lewis filed for bankruptcy back in May.
Sources close to Lewis tell TMZ that his relationship with Johnson has deteriorated to the point that they only communicate through legal counsel. We're told Jamal has provided for his son in the past, but he simply can't continue to afford the child support payments he making before since he is no longer playing in the NFL and is going through bankruptcy.
A judge has yet to rule.

Sheryl Crow Questioned By Federal Agents
If federal agents were looking for a smoking gun in the Lance Armstrong doping scandal ... they were hoping it might be Sheryl Crow -- this according to a new report.
The country-singer was called in by federal agents in late 2011 and questioned about any knowledge she might have regarding accusations that Armstrong was using illegal substances ... this according to The New York Daily News.
The move to question Crow makes sense ... she dated Armstrong from 2003 to 2006 (he won 2 Tour de France titles in that time span) -- and spent lots of time with him in Europe, traveling on private jets and in other locations where, according to the report, Armstrong allegedly participated in doping programs.
It's unclear what information Crow gave during her interview ... both the Feds and her attorney declined to comment.
As you know -- the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency recently stripped Armstrong of his 7 Tour de France Titles in late August and banned him from the sport of cycling ... after he dropped his case to fight back against doping allegations.
