Michael Vick My Doggone Life

Published | Updated

It looks like former Atlanta Falcons QB and current dog-killing inmate Michael Vick is following in O.J. Simpson's footsteps -- he's shopping around a book about his life and crimes.

The proposed memoir of Vick's rise from poverty to stardom would likely be an attempt to show the NFL that he's sorry enough to be let back in the league. You know, sorry about the dogs, dog fighting and dog imprisonment, but also sorry for going to jail for 23 months. Remember, this is the NFL... it's almost impossible to get suspended forever. They still like O.J. and he killed his wife got imprisoned for stealing memorabilia.

The book will likely be a mixture of the "Da Vinci Code" and O.J.'s "If I Did It." Except with more dog torture. And 100% ghostwritten.

Kobe and Vanessa -- Maid for TMZ

Published | Updated

Kobe Bryant and wifey Vanessa were in NYC yesterday ... and clever Kobe found a way to block any question about that pesky lawsuit filed against them by a former housekeeper.

The maid accused Vanessa of being a super-bitch, screaming and yelling at her, and even allegedly forcing her to root around a trash can filled with dog poop so she could retrieve a receipt from a blouse the maid ruined.

Vanessa allegedly deducted the amount of the blouse from the maid's paycheck. Kobe and Vanessa say the maid is delusional and the allegations are a pack of lies.

Kobe Calls Maid's Poop Claims "Outrageous"

Kobe and Vanessa Bryant are striking back at the maid who accused Vanessa of various abuse on the job -- including an alleged incident where the maid was forced to stick her hand into a bag of dog crap.

The Bryant's lawyers, Loeb & Loeb LLP, just released the following statement on behalf of the couple:

We have learned that a former employee of the Bryants, Maria Jimenez, has filed a complaint against our clients. Ms. Jimenez's outrageous allegations of improper conduct are totally unfounded and patently false. The Bryants intend to vigorously defend against these untruthful allegations and are confident that the baseless nature of the allegations will be proven.

Arrested Detroit Lions Bust Finally Gets His Shot

Published | Updated

TMZ has obtained the mugshot of former first round NFL draft pick-turned-Detroit Lions mega-bust, Charles Rogers.

Rogers -- the #2 overall pick in the 2003 draft -- was sentenced to 30 days in the slammer yesterday (with 15 days credit for time served) for violating the terms of his probation in a domestic violence case.

Court records show the 27-year-old, who signed a $55 million contract with the Lions back in the day, tested positive for alcohol and falsified records showing he attended AA classes.

Rogers was a wide receiver before he got locked up -- no word if he'll change his position before he gets out.

Kobe's Maid Sues -- It Was the Crappiest Job Ever

Published | Updated

Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa are being sued by their former housekeeper, who claims Vanessa was incredibly abusive -- even demanding that she put her hand in a bag of dog feces to retrieve a tag from her blouse ... so Vanessa could deduct the cost of the blouse from the maid's salary!

Maria Jimenez claims Vanessa called her "lazy, slow, dumb, a f---ing liar, and f---ing sh-t."

In the lawsuit filed in Superior Court in Orange County, Jimenez claims Vanessa accused her of stealing her (mouth) retainer.

Jimenez says it got so bad -- Vanessa allegedly "badgered, harassed and humiliated Maria by yelling and screaming at Maria and criticizing her in front of Kobe, the Bryants' children, employees and other people in the household" -- she threatened to quit but Kobe talked her out of it.

The final straw: Vanessa went nuclear because Maria put an expensive blouse in the washer. Vanessa demanded that Maria put her hand in a bag of dog feces to retrieve the price tag for the blouse.

Maria says she wanted to quit and Vanessa responded that she "had to work until payday to pay for the $690 blouse, which she did."

Maria is suing for wrongful discharge, invasion of privacy and emotional distress and unpaid wages.

Peyton Manning Goofiest Country Singer Ever

Published | Updated

Just because you play for a team called the Colts doesn't make you a country singer -- but Peyton Manning tried anyway.

Peyton -- dressed in sensible pair of khakis and a polo shirt -- got a drunken crowd roaring at a bar in Key West, as he and Kenny Chesney busted out a version of "You Never Even Called Me By My Name" by David Allen Coe.

The singing wasn't horrible -- but the faces he makes are priceless.
