NFL Star Arrested -- Booze, Pot, Possible Nudity

Published | Updated

Former NFL superstar Terry Glenn was arrested in Dallas last week after cops say he was running around a hotel drunk out of his mind and carrying weed -- oh, and he may have been naked.

Glenn, who was released from the Dallas Cowboys over the summer, was charged with public intoxication and marijuana possession after he was allegedly causing a disturbance at the Extended Stay Deluxe Hotel around 10:30 PM.

Sources close to the situation tell TMZ the front desk received several complaints from guests -- but one person claimed they saw Glenn lying on the floor in a hallway with his pants down.

We're also told Glenn went off on the hotel employee who called the cops, saying "You don't f**kin' know me ... I don't give a f**k what you do ... get the f**k outta here!"

Michael Phelps is thinking twice about competing in the 2012 Olympics because the media scrutiny is drowning him.

The golden boy tells the Baltimore Sun he "clearly made a mistake" inhaling from a bong in that now-infamous shot, and he might even reconsider swimming in London. "This is a decision of mine that I'm not going to make today," he says. "But it is something I need to think about."

Meanwhile, Phelps says the paps have been all over him, even waking him up at 7:00 AM at his bedroom window.

Shaq Won't "Fist Kiss" Another Man

Published | Updated

Shaquille O'Neal -- the same guy who wanted Kobe to "taste his ass" -- is under fire for his role in an ESPN commercial after some gay rights groups slammed it for being homophobic.

The spot, which was just pulled by the network, features Shaq rejecting a "fist kiss" -- a spin on the term "fist pound" -- from sports commentator Mike Breen. After the offer, Shaq responds, "No fist kiss, no fist love, no fist hump. None of that. You're a weirdo man. Stay over there ... fist kiss ... disgusting."

Long story short: GLAAD (the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) blasted the ad. ESPN apologized and has since pulled the spot.

No word from Shaq yet, but several articles have made sure to point out O'Neal's history of gay rights advocacy -- including the time he stated he would "protect a gay teammate" and the time he chased down a pack of gay bashers in Miami.

ESPN Accused of Screwing Los Angeles

Published | Updated

Kaleeeefornia and parts thereof are broke-ass broke -- and ESPN may be partly to blame.

It all boils down to this: ESPN allegedly stiffed the City of LA out of $43,159.50 in back taxes from 2004-2006. Details are a bit sketchy, but the taxes were assessed as part of production on the X Games.

In the lawsuit against ESPN filed Friday, the City claims it mailed the bill to network offices in Bristol, but nobody ever sent a check.

UPDATE: Here's one we've heard before -- ESPN tells TMZ the check's in the mail. Reps say they mailed it out Friday for the full amount.

Porn Clip Penetrates Super Bowl Broadcast

Published | Updated

One minute it was Kurt Warner going deep ... the next , it was some porn star!?

Super Bowl fans in Tucson, Ariz. were subjected to 30 seconds of hard core porn -- wang and all -- when somehow, the game feed was suddenly interrupted by a clip from an adult television channel.

Yes, this actually happened.

Comcast -- the cable company in Tucson -- is working on an explanation, but right now it appears the porn break-in only occurred in its standard-definition feed reaching analog TV sets.

Fortunately -- or unfortunately, depending on your taste -- high def viewers were spared the wiener shot.

UPDATE: Comcast just released this statement: "We are mortified by last evening's Super Bowl interruption and we apologize to our customers. Our initial investigation suggests this was an isolated malicious act. We are conducting a thorough investigation to determine who was behind this."

But they also call Phelps a "valued member of the Speedo team and a great champion." They're clearly hoping the whole thing blows over quickly.

Phelps' had endorsement deals with AT&T and Rosetta Stone, but those expired on December 31st -- long before the bong pics became public.
