Sad Bunnies: Our Super Bowl Party Was Canceled
It's just a fact: Football and hot, barely dressed women just go together ... but not this year. The Playboy Super Bowl party has just been canceled for the first time.
The Playboy's Super Saturday night party has been 86'd -- and we're told "the economy did play a role" in the cancellation.
Our sources told us sponsors for the party are being frugal -- and the cash that was going to be spent on the party will go into making another website.

Vick: "Chickens ... Are Very Athletic to Me"
The next time Michael Vick calls you "chicken" -- take it as a compliment ... because dude believes they're "uncanny" thinkers and even more spectacular athletes. Seriously.
"People who abuse animals dont [sic] have a heart and find it amusing to see animals suffer."
"Chickens have an uncanny ability to think and are very agile. They are very athletic to me."
"My aunt Tina own a Rotti name Tico. Once my aunt and her boyfriend Wayne was having an intense fight ... [Tico] jump through a glass window & pinned my aunt boyfriend Wayne to the ground just growling ... Now that's loyalty."
After he took the test, PETA balked on an offer to shoot a TV spot with Vick after his lawyers insisted they support his return to the NFL.

NBA Star's Son May Have Witnessed Murders
The mother of NBA star Eddy Curry's son was fatally shot in her Chicago apartment last night along with her infant daughter -- and Eddy's infant son was there when it all went down.
Curry's three-year-old son was found unharmed in the apartment and is the only known possible witness to the double murder, according to The Chicago Tribune.
The victims, Nova Henry, 24, and her daughter Eva were discovered by Henry's mother at approximately 6 PM.
A man claiming to be Henry's uncle says Nova had been having problems with an apparent boyfriend – but police aren't elaborating as they continue their search for an unnamed "acquaintance."

Tat-Covered Canseco Can't Beat Bonaduce
Danny Bonaduce made a bunch of MLB players jealous last night. He was legally allowed to hit steroid rat Jose Canseco in the face.
Fans who witnessed the fight (apparently due to a lack of high-speed car chases on TV) were treated to three rounds of punching and grunting, followed by a heart pounding majority decision -- draw.
Bonaduce, standing a foot shorter than Canseco, told The Post Chronicle, "Part of me says there's a decent man right there that didn't want to kill the little guy. I feel weird that we tied."

John Rocker Adds Jews to Hate List
Say what you will about former Atlanta Braves alum John Rocker, but the guy seems to hate every minority equally.
John Rocker was reportedly booted from an Atlanta nightclub Thursday night after slur-slapping sports commentator Steak Shapiro. Shapiro claims he pulled the "Jew card," according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Remember back in December 1999, when he told Sports Illustrated how he hated mingling in NYC with "some queer with AIDS." And he had choice words for women, Asians, Koreans, Vietnamese, Russians and Indians. He also called a Black teammate a "fat monkey."
Shapiro, a radio commentator on 790 the Zone, was critical of Rocker when the S.I. article came out. He says at Atlanta's Whisky Blue Nightclub Thursday night he asked Rocker to "be civil" after Rocker gave him the death stare.
Rocker then demonstrated just how civil he'd become a decade later by fast balling a string of expletives and pulling the "jew" card.
Some times two strikes is enough to be out.

Did Dr. J Steal From George Burns?
George Burns must be rolling in his grave -- because some schmuck with the same name is suing a basketball legend in one of the dumbest lawsuits ever.
Burns -- not the dead comedian -- claims he and a guy named Rodney Junior came up with the "novel idea" to put Dr. J in a Dr. Pepper commercial ... and "also for more commercials starring other famous but fictional and/or real-life 'Dr's.'"
Brilliant stuff.
In the lawsuit, filed earlier this week in Clark County, Nevada, the guys claim Dr. J turned down their idea -- only to star in a Dr. Pepper ad a few months later. Now they want $20k in damages ... good luck.
A rep for Erving was not immediately reached.
Evander Holyfield Grabs a Bite
Post-inauguration, all eyes are on Barack Obama. But when we got Mike Tyson victim Evander Holyfield in D.C., he wasn't paying as much attention to the President's ears as we would have hoped.
But, man, was he all about that airport food.

Plaxico's Backup Gets Plugged, Too
Maybe the NY Giants should consider a little Kevlar in their unis: Plaxico Burress' backup just got shot. Yes, in the leg. No, not by his own gun.
Cops in Decatur, Ga. say Taye Biddle, who joined the Jints from the practice squad when Plax was suspended, was outside a house in Decatur, Ga. when he was shot twice, in the leg and in the hand. A friend tells the Decatur Daily, "He ought to be fine."
No arrests have been made, and cops don't think Biddle caused or provoked the shooting.
Brady's Warning -- Keep Gisele Out of Your Mouth
Tom Brady is finally ready to open to the media up about his life ... with one major catch: You bring up Gisele, he's unleashing hell.
Last night, Brady finally agreed to give his first radio interview since busting up his knee, but sources at ESPN claim the Patriots QB warned the Toronto station "certain topics -- including girlfriend Gisele Bundchen -- were off limits."
As far as the actual interview, Brady blathered on about a bunch of meaningless nonsense ... like his knee, and his rehab, and the Patriots' ownership situation ... and other things of the non-supermodel related ilk.
But if you care, he says his rehab is "going really well."
Famous Jockey Has Serious Race Issues
One of the world's most famous jockeys is more pissed than a race horse -- claiming he's been saddled with an unfair suspension for allegedly trying to screw up a race.
Corey Nakatani was suspended for three days after a January 15th race at Santa Anita in which he allegedly "failed to put forth his best effort to maintain a straight course" -- in other words, he's accused of intentionally trying to cut off another horse.
Now, Nakatani has filed a lawsuit against the California Horse Racing Board claiming the ruling is total horse s**t -- and that his suspension is "illegal, erroneous, not in the best interest of racing, and violates [Nakatani's] right to pursue his livelihood."
Nakatani is asking the court to issue a stay of the board's ruling, pending a hearing, so Nakatani may continue to race. His suspension is scheduled to begin Friday -- this might be a photo finish.

Down 1... No Time Left... Kid's Got the Rock...
He talks a big game -- and with the championship on the line at the 2nd Annual Grand Kids Foundation Celebrity Shootout in Michigan this weekend, Kid Rock finally had a chance to back it up.
With his team down by one point, Rock was fouled as the game clock hit zero -- sending him to the line to shoot two huge free throws. The rest... well you'll just have to see for yourself.
The Broadcasters Who Booze Together ...
They don't just show up on Sundays and pretend to like each other -- the guys from the NFL on FOX studio team also hit the bars as a team.
Terry, Jimmy and Michael Strahan spent Friday night kickin' it at the Belmont Bar and Lounge in Hollywood. And check this out -- Bradshaw even got a female lead blocker on the way out. We're told the woman in the video is being seriously considered by the Detroit Lions.
No word if Howie, Curt and Barry Switzer had other plans -- or just didn't get the invite.
T.O. Compares Trade Rumors to Bear Feces
"Does a bear sh*t in the woods?" If so, then Terrell Owens definitely was implying that he's sticking around the Dallas Cowboys for awhile.
Despite an ESPN report suggesting he's on the outs in Big D, the NFL's most loved/hated wide receiver offered a rhetorical response to a photog at the Sundance Film Festival this weekend when asked if he was going to stay in Dallas.
As T.O. continued to party hop around Park City -- with cup in hand -- another fan says, "Come back to the Cowboys, we need you." Owens' response: "I haven't left."
... yet.
