Olympians -- The Torch is Out and Nobody's Home

Published | Updated

The Olympics attracted one of the biggest audiences ever, so it's pretty breathtaking that just weeks later the gold medalists from the American indoor volleyball team are pathetically peddling their wares outside One Sunset.

At least volleyball silver medalist Kim Glass still has her game. She left with an obviously pleased Maurice Greene.

Passenger in 3B -- We Found Your Gold Medal

Published | Updated

Brendan Hansen -- you are now free to move about the country ... with your Olympic gold medal.

A passenger who was on the relay swimmer's Southwest Airlines flight last night from Philadelphia to Austin has solved the medal mystery...a mystery that started when Hansen got off the plane and reported the medal missing.

Hansen says he put the medal in a bag under the seat in front of him and fell asleep. Then ... it disappeared. The FBI reportedly got involved in the investigation. No clue why this was an FBI case.

Here's what we know. The plane had a stopover in Nashville before going on to Austin. A passenger who got off the plane in Nashville found the medal and went to authorities. We don't know if that passenger took Hansen's bag off the plane or somehow just found the medal.

Jake "The Snake" Implodes

Published | Updated

Forget everything you knew about wrestling legend Jake "the Snake" Roberts -- all that appears to remain is Jake the Junkie.

TMZ has obtained extremely disturbing footage of the former WWF superstar -- and former substance abuse rehab patient -- self-destructing during a live benefit event in Ohio over the weekend.

The footage shows a stumbling, overweight, rambling Roberts struggling to form a coherent sentence, while addressing the crowd moments before his match in the Firestorm Pro Wrestling league.

But the story behind the scenes is even more tragic. According to several sources, the 53-year-old legend was found passed out backstage moments before he was scheduled to perform. We're told when Snake was woken up, he was aggressive, violent and asking for "an 8-ball."

We're also told nearly two dozen empty airplane bottles of vodka were found by his gear.
