Olympic Losers Pursue Topless Dancing

The boys of the New Zealand soccer team don't get down on themselves when they lose, they just get down!

After losing to Belgium in the first round of the Olympics 0-1, the Oly-Whites (as they're called back home) broke out the Haka -- a traditional Maori war dance teams from NZ usually perform before a match to scare the holy hell out of the other team.

No word on why they decided to bust a move after the loss, but as long as that guy keeps his shirt off -- who really cares?!

D-Wade's Biz Boys Want Baller Money

Published | Updated

Olympian b-baller Dwyane Wade rode pine when he should've been out pimping his restaurant chain, and now his biz partners want serious jack -- we're talkin' $25 mil -- from Wade because of it.

A couple of guys who say they sunk millions into developing the D. Wade's Place restaurant concept have sued the hoopster for ditching what they claim were his marketing obligations. They also say Wade blew more than $350K on etching his uni number into the rims of his Rolls, and $30K for his 26th b-day bash.

Mark Rodberg and Richard von Houtman tell the Palm Beach Post they were supposed to have 13 restaurants by now -- but they only opened two, both of which are now closed.

Me Spanish, Me Play Joke...

...me slant eyes like Chinese folk.

That's basically the apology members of the Spanish Olympic Basketball team have issued to the Chinese people after mocking their eyes in a photograph that ran in a Spanish newspaper.

In a statement, Spain's Pau Gasol -- who's also a Laker in the NBA -- said, "It was something like supposed to be funny or something but never offensive in any way. I'm sorry if anybody took it the wrong way and thought it was offensive."

But wait -- it gets better. Another Spanish player, Jose Calderon -- who also plays for the Raptors -- wrote on his blog, "We felt it was something appropriate, and that it would be interpreted as an affectionate gesture." He added, "Without a doubt, some ... press didn't see it that way." DUUUUHHHHH!!?!?!!?

Ex-QB Kosar Gettin' Heavy Pocket Pressure

Published | Updated

Ex-NFL star Bernie Kosar says that his old biz partner is trying to strongarm him into shelling out over $100K -- by threatening to air his dirty laundry to the press.

And Bernie's getting a heavy rush from the tax man as well: the Miami Herald says that the IRS has filed a $228,000 lien against him on income tax owed for 2006, and he's also delinquent on his 2007 property tax, to the tune of $52K. Kosar is blaming the mailman on that one -- he says he just got the bills after moving.

Meanwhile, the ex-chef and partner in Bernie Kosar's Steakhouse in South Miami, Dan Harri, wants over $140K from Kosar that he says he loaned Bernie in the venture. Kosar says it's the other way around -- and that Harri and his lawyer have "threatened" him with personal revelations if he doesn't pony up.
