Skating Champ Bowman Found Dead in Motel
A former U.S. figure skating champ, Christopher "The Showman" Bowman, 40, was found dead yesterday in a motel room -- and cops say the cause may be a drug overdose.
Bowman was found by a friend on Thursday morning at a Budget Inn in North Hills, Calif., according to cops. His mother, Joyce, told the Detroit Free Press, "He just passed away in his sleep. His friend told me that he was fine. He just went to bed and didn't wake up."
As a skater, Bowman was known for his showmanship. He skated in the Olympics in 1988 and 1992. He had previously been in treatment for drug problems.

Hulk to Brit -- You Need a Broken Wrist, Missy!
We were as confused as anyone when Hulk Hogan gave us his assessment of the Britney Spears situation. It involved -- well, just take a look.
Hulk also dropped a ton of other knowledge on us, like the fact that daughter Brooke is "auditioning" for "Dancing with the Stars" (wha?) and that his new show "American Gladiators" is getting picked up for a full season. And that's reason for celebration?
Tom Not the Only Hot Brady Out There!
He didn't make the cut for the Hall of Fame yesterday, but TMZ caught former baseballer Brady Anderson last night getting into an equally difficult venue -- Hyde!
The 43-year-old hottie, who once played for the Red Sox, Orioles and Indians, was lookin' damn good outside the Sunset Strip club. Anderson retired in 2002 and had a baby with Playboy model Sonia Vasi the following year. Who needs Cooperstown?!
The New Air Jordan -- No, Really, It's Green
The latest Air Jordan sneaker has been unleashed, and despite what you might think you're seeing here, we're telling you -- it's a green shoe.
Nike tells us that the Air Jordan XX3 is the first-ever basketball shoe in the Jordan Brand to be made with sustainable materials -- meaning it'll be around the next time MJ decides to unretire, whenever that is. It's coming out in a limited edition costing $230 which will only be available in 23 stores (sensing a theme here?) and then will be out wide -- for $185.
Hulk's Bodyguard - Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake?
Hulk Hogan used to give people a knock-out leg drop, but yesterday, his signature move for photogs and fans was -- the cold shoulder! Isn't the point of promoting a show to be nice to people ... so they'll watch it?
All wasn't lost for dissed Hulk fans though. Brutus the Barber Beefcake (NOT dead, btw) was accompanying Hogan, and he took some time to chat with the little people about Britney. He must be the Hulk's understudy when he's cranky!

Tom Brady Is a Wiener
Everybody wants their little one to grow up Brady.
New England Patriots quarterback (do we really have to explain?) Tom Brady was dogged yesterday in NYC by a fan who just happened to have named one of his little foofy pooches "Tom Brady." We're pretty sure he wasn't kidding.
And yes, Brady was carrying his own small dog. Probably Gisele's. We think.
Clemens Sues -- Throws High, Hard One at Trainer
Roger Clemens aimed right for the head of the former trainer who alleged that he took steroids, filing a lawsuit last night just before his "60 MInutes" interview.
The Houston Chronicle reports that Clemens is suing Brian McNamee, his longtime trainer, for defamation of character, calling McNamee's allegations "false and defamatory." The suit was filed electronically in Houston, just before Clemens' "60 MInutes" interview aired last night.
"I don't know if I'll ever get the naysayers back. I don't know what I'm going to get. Maybe some of my name back," Clemens said to Mike Wallace.
The lawsuit doesn't request a specific dollar amount. But Clemens' Houston lawyer, Rusty Hardin, said the lawsuit was filed to clear Clemens' name and discover how the allegations came about.

Stripper to De La Hoya: Get in the Ring!
The stripper who claims she had a fling with Oscar de la Hoya -- and has the alleged stilettoed snaps to prove it -- is fighting to get the boxer into the legal ring, while Oscar tries to send the case to a secret arbitration.
Milana Dravnel has filed a memorandum, obtained by TMZ, trying to throw a haymaker at De La Hoya's recent request to get the case dismissed on grounds that she agreed to arbitrate her claims against the Big O. Milana, through her lawyer Salvatore Strazzulo, says that she never made any formal deal with Oscar to go to arbitration, much less any agreement to publicly disavow the photos.
Yeah, it sounds like a lot of legal shadowboxing to us too -- but the gist is, she wants a public trial to get the $100 million she's suing him for, and he wants the whole thing handled in secret.
Oscar's lawyer didn't immediately respond to a call for comment.

There's Something About Brett Favre
Having already burned through 3.2 million copies, Sports Illustrated is now releasing even more issues of its Sportsman of the Year mag, featuring Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre. Britney wishes her album sold like that!
The magazine did a second printing of 50,000 copies -- their first since NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt died in 2001. But that wasn't enough -- and another 100,000 copies were sent to Wisconsin to help satisfy the demand. It's not like it's the Swimsuit Issue or anything!
Favre is no stranger to being Oprah-level popular. His jersey is the best-selling jersey in the history of the NFL, and a knit cap Favre and the Packers started wearing on the sidelines this season sells for as much as $150 on eBay.
Only $150? Brit has Brett beat.
