Erin Andrews Suit: Hotels Were Peeper Friendly

Published | Updated

Erin Andrews just sued a string of hotels for allegedly giving her stalker easy access to secretly record the ESPN reporter.

In the civil lawsuit, filed in State Court in Chicago, Andrews claims the hotels -- which include Marriott and Radisson -- gave Michael David Barrett her room number and allowed him to check into adjacent rooms. Barrett recorded Andrews through modified peepholes in her hotel room doors.

Attorney Marshall Grossman -- who repped Erin during Barrett's stalking trial -- tells TMZ, "Erin filed the lawsuit to send a message to hotel chains that they need to exercise greater care in protecting their guests. She was seriously harmed by what happened there."

In the suit, Andrews claims negligence, infliction of emotional distress, and invasion of privacy.

Jaycee Dugard Dragged into Big Ben Rape Lawsuit

Published | Updated

Jaycee Lee Dugard -- the woman who was held captive and raped for a period of 18 years -- has been injected into a new lawsuit filed by the Nevada woman who claims she was raped by Ben Roethlisberger.

Andrea McNulty has just filed new legal docs against Harrah's -- her former employer -- claiming the company went on a "witch hunt" to force her out of her job after she filed her lawsuit against the NFL star, in which she claims she was raped at Harrah's in Lake Tahoe in 2008.

In the documents, McNulty claims she was essentially forced to resign -- and in her lawsuit, she describes packing up her desk ... where she kept a photo of Jaycee Lee Dugard.

McNulty explains, "I love [the picture] because she has been through such trauma but if you look closely she still has a twinkle in her eye." She claims she kept the photo on her desk because "it gives me strength."

McNulty's case against Big Ben is currently on hold -- while a judge decides where the case should be tried.

Tiger Woods Mistress -- More DNA, Please!

Published | Updated

The porn star who claims Tiger Woods is her baby daddy has filed court documents -- obtained by TMZ -- practically begging for a judge to force Tiger to submit to a DNA test.

Devon James -- mistress # 20ish -- claims there was a "misunderstanding" when a prior paternity test showed that a man named Pele Watkins was most likely the father to her 9-year-old son.

In the docs, Devon states that she believes Tiger is the real father -- and she's willing to provide information on the time, place and hotel location where the child was conceived to help prove her point.

She's also willing to name "his golf buddies who were there at the time in Pebble Beach."

As we first reported, Tiger denies the whole thing ... and recently filed papers of his own asking a judge to throw out the entire paternity case.

Ex-Kobe Bryant Foe Strikes (Lakers) Gold

Published | Updated

Kobe Bryant must be working some serious mojo on free agent Raja Bell -- because the shooting guard popped up in Lakerland today sporting the purple and gold!

Raja hasn't signed with the champs yet, but he comfortably posed for pics while wearing a Lakers necklace at a pre-ESPY event held today by Gifting Services -- and Kobe is reportedly courting him for next season.

Raja famously clotheslined Kobe during the 2006 NBA Playoffs. Looks like Kobe and the Lakers might have Raja by the neck now.

UPDATE 7:35PM PDT: ESPN is reporting that Raja's joining the Utah Jazz. Maybe the photo was a well-timed negotiating ploy?

Tiger: Is That John Daly, Or Am I Hallucinating?

Published | Updated

Wearing what looks like the winner's jacket from the 1986 Jamaica Open, golfer John Daly somehow managed to overshadow Tiger Woods' unfortunate forehead farmer's tan yesterday while in Scotland.

Believe it or not, Daly isn't photo-bombing the boringly well-dressed group of men around him ... they're all past winners of the British Open (Daly included), which begins on Thursday.

John's jacket ... definitely not par for the course.

Devon James' Alleged Baby Daddy: I Didn't Give DNA

Published | Updated

Tiger Woods says Devon James' paternity claim against him should be dropped because another guy was already determined to be the father -- but that other guy says he never even took a DNA test.

As we previously reported, documents filed back in 2002 show there is a 99.9% chance that Pele Watkins is the father of James' 9-year-old son.

But in a letter dated August 1, 2009 -- and obtained by TMZ -- Watkins, writing from prison, tells James he never took a DNA test. At one point he wrote, "They will never get DNA from me."

He closes the letter, "I never took a DNA test but tell your mom I will fight her for messing wit [sic] me in jail."

We're told Devon will file the letter with the court in response to Tiger's motion to dismiss.

War Erupts Over 'ESPYs' Pre-Party

Published | Updated

ESPN is locked in a bitter standoff with a famous L.A. restaurant -- all over an "ESPY Awards Pre-Award Show Party" that's supposed to go down at the eatery ... tonight!

TMZ has learned ESPN sent a cease and desist letter to Cicada restaurant in downtown L.A. -- accusing them of violating its trademark by using the ESPN name to promote an event that's not officially endorsed by ESPN.

But the restaurant is serving up some legal smack talk of their own in a strongly-worded letter back to the network -- in which they rip into ESPN for being "arrogant," "narcissistic" and "out of step ... with its own assumed importance."

As for their legal defense, the restaurant claims it is not the one behind the party -- it is merely the venue ... but Cicada's attorney, Keith Fink, closed his letter with a particularly personal parting shot saying:

"This whole situation is more of farce than the 'King James' show aired by ESPN last week."

Ben Roethlisberger Named in Urine Investigation

Published | Updated

TMZ has obtained a report from police in Dublin, Ohio which shows Ben Roethlisberger was investigated for allegedly peeing in public at a local golf course this past Friday.

According to the report, a woman named Nan Fowler phoned the pro shop at the Country Club at Muirfield Village around 6:53 PM and complained that a white, tall male -- sporting a blue golf shirt and khaki shorts -- was "urinating into some trees."

The report states that Nan was informed by the woman at the pro shop that the person who fit that description was Big Ben. Nan then called police and told them that the NFL star was peeing in public.

Cops eventually arrived to the scene and spoke with country club management -- and later determined that no crime had been committed. Sources connected to the investigation tell us cops never interacted with Roethlisberger -- because Ben was "long gone" by the time authorities had arrived.

TMZ spoke with reps at Muirfield who tell us, "We had a full slate of golfers that day ... it may have been anyone."

Of course, this isn't the first time Ben's penis has been at the center of controversy -- earlier this year, he was accused of raping a young woman inside a nightclub bathroom. That case was ultimately dropped after investigators determined there wasn't enough evidence to proceed.

So far, no comment from Roethlisberger's camp.

Tiki Barber Sued: You Knew You Were Cheating

Published | Updated

A company that made a deal with famed, retired NFLer Tiki Barber and his wife claims Barber fraudulently passed himself off as "happily married" in order to score some quick cash.

Tricera Revolution, Inc. -- which manufacturers state-of-the-art indoor cycling studios -- alleges in a new lawsuit filed in New York and obtained by TMZ ... it made a deal with Tiki and his wife Ginny, because they were "purportedly a happily-married, celebrity couple who were known to attend indoor cycling classes together."

The company gave the couple stock in return for PR, only to learn later, "...Barber was engaged in an adulterous affair with a twenty-three year old intern, Traci Lynn Johnson and intended to divorce Ginny Barber, with whom he had already fathered two children and who was pregnant at that time with twins."

Short story -- the company claims Barber knew the whole "happily married" thing was a lie when he signed on, and now the promotion is worthless.

Tricera wants to undo the deal and get its stock back from the Barbers.

Street Baller OWNS Terrell Owens w/ NASTY Dunk

Terrell Owens got savagely destroyed in a street basketball game at New York's legendary Rucker Park last night ... when some dude caught an alley-oop over T.O. and smashed the rock down HARD!

The crowd went insane ... and after the game, the dunker was already talkin' smack -- saying, "[T.O.] should have never been underneath the rim ... this is basketball, street baller thing ... this ain't football!"

Overall, T.O. played well -- throwing down a few dunks of his own ... but nothing as impressive as the dunk that happened right over his own head.
