Team LeBron: Alleged Dad is a 'Money Grubber'

Published | Updated

LeBron James' lawyer is lashing out at the man claiming to be his biological father -- claiming Leicester Bryce Stovell is just in it for the money.

As we first reported, Stovell is suing LeBron and his mother, claiming the two of them tampered with a DNA test in an attempt to hide the true identity of LeBron's father.

Now, LeBron's attorney Fred Nance is slamming Stovell's claim -- saying, "The timing is obviously designed to gratuitously exploit LeBron’s announcement tomorrow."

Nance added, "A celebrity of LeBron’s stature gets many money grubbing claims all the time and this is no different.”

But Leicester is firing back -- telling TMZ, "This not a money grubbing case. This is a very carefully considered effort to resolve a pressing issue that should be handled seriously by LeBron James' attorney."

Leicester concluded, "There is absolutely no relationship between what is happening in LeBron's life and the timing of the filing of this lawsuit ... the timing of the filing of this lawsuit is a product purely of legal considerations."

Erin Andrews' Stalker Off Hook for ESPN's $300K Bill

Published | Updated

Erin Andrews' stalker Michael David Barrett won't have to cough up over a quarter mil for the mess he caused ESPN -- this according to a new court order signed earlier this month.

TMZ broke the story back in May ... ESPN wanted the government to force King Creepster to cover all of the network's enormous expenses in the wake of the stalking scandal -- mostly for extra security.

Barrett fired back weeks later, claiming he's "virtually penniless" and shouldn't have to foot the $327,442.27 bill for a third party.

According to the new docs filed in California District Court, the judge agreed -- claiming "ESPN voluntarily paid all costs on behalf of direct victim Erin Andrews and restitution to ESPN is therefore not appropriate."

MDB -- who pled guilty to stalking Andrews last year -- began serving a 30-month sentence on May 3.

UPDATE: Erin Andrews tells TMZ, "I’m disappointed with the court’s decision. In my mind Barrett should pay for all the trouble and expense he and he alone caused."

No 'Oprah' for Elin

Sources tell TMZ Elin Nordegren and Tiger have agreed to a confidentiality clause as part of their divorce settlement. So Elin can't go on "Oprah," she can't do interviews, and she can't write a book.

But what she gets in return is nothing to sneeze at. TMZ broke the story, Elin will snag about $100 million in the settlement ... way more than she was entitled to under the prenup.
