University of Oklahoma basketball star Keith "Tiny" Gallon just pulled a 180 -- deciding to leave school and declare for the NBA draft ... a decision that comes on the heels of an investigation into his ties to a financial advisor.

As TMZ Sports first reported ... documents we obtained show the freshman hoops star received a $3,000 wire transfer from a former Merrill Lynch advisor. The NCAA and OU subsequently launched investigations into the matter. Results of those investigations have not been announced.

Just days before our story was published, Gallon had said he would return for his sophomore year ... wonder what changed his mind?

NFL Star Jared Allen -- Violent Threat in Bar Fight

TMZ has obtained video of Minnesota Vikings defensive superstar Jared Allen unleashing one of the nastiest threats ever on a bar patron who allegedly called Jared's fiancee a word that rhymes with "punt."

Jared and his fiancee were hangin' at the Grapevine bar in Scottsdale, AZ a few weekends ago when some dude allegedly hurled the 4-letter slur towards the future Mrs. Quarterback Destroyer.

When Jared heard the insult, the 6'6", 270 pound Pro Bowler -- who's also an avid hunter -- told the guy, "I'll break your f*cking neck homeboy ... and then I'll write a check to your f*cking name too."

In the video, a woman can be seen dragging Jared away from the other man. We're told both Jared and the other dude each left the bar without further incident.

Jared's rep at EAG Sports Management tells TMZ, "No matter what, Jared will always protect and defend his family."

Ex-WWE Star: Vince McMahon Deceived Me

Daniel Puder won WWE's "$1,000,000 Tough Enough" competition back in 2004, but dude never got the million dollar prize he thought he earned -- instead he believes there was some "false advertising" on the part of the WWE and its owner Vince McMahon.

Puder told us "It woulda been great" if the prize was a lump sum -- but what wasn't clear from the name of the show, was that WWE was really offering a 4-year deal -- at $250k per year. Plus, WWE had the option to terminate the contract after the first year ... which they ultimately did.

A rep from the WWE tells us, "[Puder] knew the terms when he signed the contract. WWE met its obligations per the contract he signed."

Saints Linebacker Goes Cha-Ching

New Orleans Saints linebacker Marvin Mitchell is doubling his salary and returning to Who Dat nation for another year, according to a source to close to Mitchell.

We're told the restricted free agent just signed a one year deal with the Super Bowl champs for just over a million bucks.

Mitchell, an inside linebacker, is aiming for a full-time starting job with the Saints this season.

Ex-NFL Star Sues Agent Over Bad $$$ Advice

Former NFL bad boy Brian Bosworth is suing his former agent because he thinks the agent steered him toward a dirty accountant ... on purpose.

According to a lawsuit filed in L.A. Superior Court, Bosworth claims his former agent, Gary Wichard, pushed The Boz towards Judd Rothman, an accountant, to manage his money.

Bosworth claims Rothman was eventually arrested and pled guilty to crimes related to misappropriating the funds of clients.

The Boz also alleges Wichard was aware of the scheme, and got a cut of the money Rothman made from Boz's investments.

Bosworth is suing for damages in excess of $2,000,000.

A call to Wichard was not immediately returned.

Wife: Shaq Tried Using Son for Death Threats

Shaquille O'Neal's estranged wife claims the basketball star recently ordered their son to deliver death threats to her new boyfriend ... this according to documents obtained by TMZ.

Shaunie O'Neal's lawyers just fired off a letter to Shaq's people, claiming the bball star "interrogated" the couple's children to tell him everything they knew about her new man ... "to the point that they felt intimidated and scared of him."

Shaunie also claims Shaq told their 6-year-old son to tell her boyfriend that Shaq "is going to kill him" -- and that Shaq even screamed at the kid and said, "Say it now! My daddy is going to kill you!"

Shaunie's lawyers are demanding Shaq halt "further inappropriate discussions" with their children -- which is an alleged violation of the non-disparagement provision of their divorce judgment.

TMZ asked Shaq's attorney for a comment, but he hasn't gotten back to us.

Golf Tourney -- Extra Protection for Tiger Woods

The golfers aren't the only people looking to knock Tiger Woods off his game at the upcoming Quail Hollow Championship -- officials are beefing up security to make sure the hecklers stay away from the world's most famous athlete.

TMZ spoke with the tournament's Executive Director Kym Hougham -- who tells us that in light of the drama surrounding Woods, they are taking the necessary steps to make sure he gets through his rounds undisturbed ... which means more hired muscle than usual.

Woods received similar treatment at the Masters -- but hecklers were still able to penetrate the sky.

Round one of the tourney begins April 29.

NFL QB -- Scoring Formation w/ Country Singer

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers rolled through a hot Vegas club last night ... but he appeared to be more into the country music scene ... as in "Lady Antebellum" singer Hillary Scott.

TMZ obtained photos of Rodgers gettin' all sorts of cozy with Scott inside Vanity nightclub at the Hard Rock Hotel last night.

Spies inside the club tell us they looked pretty "coupley" -- but it's unclear if the two are actually an item. Still, for Rodgers -- that's a Pro Bowl move right there.

Mayor: Big Ben Case is Great for Tourism!

The mayor of the Georgia town where Ben Roethlisberger allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in a nightclub bathroom has found a silver lining to the whole mess ... TOURISM!

TMZ spoke to Milledgeville Mayor Richard Bentley who told us he hopes the incident will draw new visitors to the college town --saying, "Anything that can draw interest to our town and make people want to visit, we would like."

The Mayor acknowledged the unfortunate circumstances of his town's new found fame, but added "If it peaks people's interest about our city, we would certainly welcome them here.”

Big Ben's Teammate -- Massive Tip Exposed

There's one part of Ben Roethlisberger's infamous night out in Georgia that's indisputable -- he and teammate Willie Colon were on a serious drinking spree, and they were not stingy with the gratuity.

Newly released documents from the investigation include their tab from The Brick in Milledgeville -- their last stop before Capital City bar, where the alleged sexual assault occurred.

According to the docs, they ordered 38 drinks in less than two hours for a total of $224.25 -- and then left a big fat tip of $100.

The Steelers offensive tackle Colon paid the bill with his AMEX card.

War Machine -- Punished in Georgia

War Machine -- the controversial MMA fighter turned porn star -- is in big trouble in Georgia, after he backed out of an upcoming brawl ... through his Twitter page.

Machine (yes, that's his legal name) was scheduled to get in the ring at Wild Bill's Fight Night in Duluth, GA tomorrow night ... but claims he came down with a staph infection that will prevent him from kicking ass.

The fight promoter tells TMZ that instead of dealing with his situation "professionally" -- returning calls, emails, etc -- Machine simply posted a message on his Twitter page stating that he was out of the fight.

Now, the Georgia State Athletic and Entertainment Commission is coming down on Machine -- suspending the fighter indefinitely for breach of contract.

Death Threats in Ben Roethlisberger Investigation

The man who allegedly "dragged" Ben Roethlisberger's accuser to a nightclub hallway on the night she was allegedly raped told investigators he received "death threats" after the incident.

According to newly released documents, Anthony Barravecchio -- an off-duty DEA agent who often kicks it with Ben -- told investigators he was advised not to give a videotaped statement about the incident "due to the nature of his job which included undercover work as a police officer."

Barravecchio also told investigators that he "had already received death threats as a result of his job and his involvement in [The Roethlisberger] case."

As for the "dragging" accusations -- Barravecchio claims Ben asked him to "show [the accuser] where the bathroom is."

Barravecchio claims he watched the accuser sit down on a stool outside the bathroom -- and that's when he returned to the bar area. He claims it was around this point in time, he "lost sight" of Big Ben.

Cop in Roethlisberger Case -- I Quit

The cop who first investigated Ben Roethlisberger for sexual assault has "resigned" in the wake of the release of a police report that shows he may have referred to the accuser as a "f*cking bitch" ... but TMZ has learned the cop didn't really have a choice.

We're told the Milledgeville Police officer -- Sergeant Jerry Blash -- turned in his resignation yesterday. He had been with the force for 8 years.

In the report, investigators claim that on the night of the alleged incident, Blash admitted that after he encountered the accuser, he may have made a comment similar to "this f*cking bitch is drunk" or "this bitch is drunk off her ass accusing Ben of assaulting her."

Investigators also report that on the night of the incident, Blash informed the accuser and her friends that "Roethlisberger has a lot of money" and if the women were to follow through with a police report, they "would be wasting their time."

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Blash was given a lose-lose option -- resign...or be fired.

FYI -- Blash is the same guy who posed for photos with Ben hours before he was approached by the alleged victim outside the Capital City nightclub in Georgia.

Tiger Woods -- Ready to Swing Again

Tiger Woods will golf again in 2 weeks -- despite rumors he and wife Elin Nordegren are getting divorced.

Today, Woods announced on his website he was "excited about competing" in the Quail Hollow Championship in Charlotte, NC -- a tourney that runs from April 29 to May 2.

Tiger has played the event four times before -- he's only won once.

Of course, Woods returned from a 5 month "break" from golf at the Masters last week, where he placed fourth ... and told reporters he'd "take a little time off and kind of re-evaluate things."

Tiger is also scheduled to play in the U.S. Open in June -- he's already a favorite to win.
