Ben Roethlisberger has been asked to fork over a DNA sample to cops as part of the investigation into accusations that the NFL star sexually assaulted a 20-year-old woman.

The Milledgeville Police Department claim they made the request to Ben's legal team and believe Roethlisberger will comply.

Ben's lawyer has already stated that his client is "innocent of any crime."

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback has already spoken to police about the alleged incident at the Capital City nightclub in Georgia -- but cops say they want to speak with him again sometime this week.

Ben Roethlisberger's alleged sexual assault victim is at home with her parents after dropping out of school, TMZ has learned.

Multiple sources tell us the 20-year-old woman dropped out of Georgia College & State University over the weekend.

We're told her folks picked her up in Milledgeville and brought her to the family home outside Atlanta.

Cops involved in the Ben Roethlisberger investigation went back to Capital City bar in Georgia yesterday and searched the restroom for clues ... sources tell TMZ.

As we already reported, the alleged sexual assault took place in a bathroom in the bar. "The cops were all over that bathroom," one source told TMZ.

And Capital City bar -- where the alleged incident occurred -- was closed Monday.

The alleged accuser is under 21. She was legally allowed to be in the bar but not allowed to drink. Law enforcement tells TMZ the alleged victim had been drinking and "alcohol is a factor in the investigation."

Sources say the authorities are trying to find out if the woman was served at any of the local bars.

Ben Roethlisberger's attorney is coming out swinging saying no sexual assault occurred between Ben and his alleged accuser.

Ed Garland released a statement Monday, saying there was "no criminal activity" and Roethlisberger is "completely innocent of any crime."

Roethlisberger has not been charged with anything yet and is due to meet with investigators this week for a second interview.

The MPD just held a news conference about the sexual assault investigation, in which they announced they will be interviewing various members of Ben's entourage who were at the Capital City nightclub when the alleged incident occurred.

Cops say they expect to conduct eight more interviews in connection to the Roethlisberger investigation.

Police also announced they're in the process of checking out various businesses in the area and looking at videos that they have.

TMZ was in court this AM as Kendall's lawyer made a bid to allow Kendall to take the divorcing couple's two kids to Kansas City for baseball season.

Chantel, who came to court with boyfriend Sean Stewart, is trying to block the move. There have been numerous accusations between Jason and Chantel of physical and emotional abuse.

Chantel has suggested in legal papers that Jason is overusing Adderall, which he says he's taking for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

The judge continued the case until March 18.

Ben Roethlisberger had his arm around his accuser before the alleged assault ... and she had a big grin as she wrapped her arms around him. No doubt Ben's lawyer -- rightly or wrongly -- will make hay of this.

We now know the accuser's identity -- we will not post the picture in this story. A photo of the two taken at Capital City bar in Milledgeville, Georgia shortly before the alleged incident shows a cozy scene -- at least at that moment in time.

Of course, a photo never tells the whole story, and the mood could have darkened in an instant. Police sources tell TMZ the woman claims Roethlisberger sexually assaulted her in the women's bathroom.

And, other women in the bar also posed for photos with Roethlisberger before the alleged incident.

Calcaveccia told Golf.com, "I didn't really think about it, but in the course of last year he changed his number five times." He added, "The last time he did, I said, 'Man, you change phone numbers more than I change underwear.'"

Calcaveccia claims he and Tiger used to text message each other all the time back before the scandal broke -- but he hasn't heard back from Tiger since the infamous car crash.

There was one more interesting point -- Mark told the magazine, "I did know of a girl he was seeing in Phoenix ... But I didn't know the time frame." Mark concluded, "I didn't know if it was before or after he was married that he was with her. I knew it was close. It was 2004 sometime. I didn't think much of it then..."

FYI -- Tiger married Elin Noredegren in 2004 -- but they were engaged since 2003.

The woman accusing Ben Roethlisberger of sexual assault was "hysterical" when she spoke with cops ... this according to a source at the Milledgeville Police Department.

We're told Ben's accuser arrived at the P.D. with three other women. According to a source at the police department, Ben's accuser was extremely emotional and looked like she had been crying for hours.

Ben's agent, Ryan Tollner, said on Friday, "we are skeptical of motive." Our source begged to differ, saying Ben's accuser did not look like a girl who was making it up.

Roethlisberger has not been charged.

According to ProFootballTalk.com, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback just picked up Ed Garland -- an Atlanta-based attorney who specializes in personal injury and criminal defense.

As you may remember, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis was facing murder charges in Georgia back in 2000. Garland eventually had the worst of the charges dropped and the NFL star pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice.

Ben Roethlisberger is still not out of the woods in his other sexual assault battle -- the civil lawsuit filed against him by a woman in Nevada is very much alive.

TMZ spoke to the lawyer for Andrea McNulty -- the woman who claims Ben raped her in a Lake Tahoe hotel room back in 2008 -- and he tells us McNulty's case has been temporarily put on ice ... while the Nevada Supreme Court decides where the case should be tried.

As for the new sexual assault investigation surrounding Roethlisberger in Georgia -- McNulty's lawyer, Cal Dunlap, tells us they will be "aggressively looking into this new case."

As TMZ first reported, Roethlisberger is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in the bathroom of a nightclub in Georgia -- so far, no charges have been filed against him and Ben's camp is denying any wrongdoing.

We're told the photos were taken before the alleged incident occurred -- we are unclear if any of the women featured in the photos are the accuser or any of the girls in the accuser's party.

Roethlisberger has already spoken to Milledgeville PD over the alleged sexual assault, but has not been interviewed by the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, which is assisting in the case.

Tom Davis of the GBI's regional office in Milledgeville told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, "We have not questioned him at all, but we are going to at some point over the next couple of days."

Milledgeville Deputy Police Chief Richard Malone just concluded a news conference, confirming Roethlisberger is at the center of a sexual assault investigation that allegedly took place at the Capital City nightclub.

According to police, the alleged victim is a 20-year-old female student from Georgia College & State University.

Police say the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback was interviewed and released and thus far has not been charged with a crime.

Ben's agent claims Roethlisberger did nothing wrong.

Ben's agent, Ryan Tollner, told ProFootballTalk.com, "Last night, Ben and his friends met a group of women and everyone mingled together throughout the evening."

Tollner added, "We have spoken to law enforcement. Based on information currently available, an allegation was made against Ben, which appeared to be dismissed after a preliminary investigation last night. Obviously, given the prior accusation against Ben, we are skeptical of motive, but we will continue to cooperate with everyone involved."

The Milledgeville Police Department is holding a news conference to address the situation in just a few minutes.
