Marbury Eats Vaseline in Quest to Be Like Oprah
We're approaching the 24th hour of Stephon Marbury's absolutely nonsensical web-rant -- and now the basketball star is resorting to eating Vaseline right out of the jar.
Still not wearing a shirt, Marbury -- who insists he's neither on drugs nor out of his mind -- threw down a finger-full of the petroleum jelly ... and then declared he wanted someone to write him a check for "a billion dollars" so he could start his own TV network "like Oprah."
For the record, we contacted the good people at Vaseline about the incident, who told us "Vaseline is for external use only -- it is not intended for eating ... I don't know what he's trying to prove."
Neither do we.
P.S. -- He's still going strong, click here to check it out.
Stephon Marbury's World Wide Wahhhh
A whole lot of weirdness occurred on the Internet yesterday thanks to NBA player Stephon Marbury -- which culminated when the shirtless basketball star broke down harder and longer than Ne-Yo with a cold.
Marbury broadcasted the marathon of madness on Ustream -- where he spent the day screaming nonsense into the camera ... then spent the night crying ... and is currently streaming himself asleep in his bed.
We spoke to a rep for the NBA Players Association, who said he saw "a few hours of it" and it "was interesting" -- adding players are "capable of making their own decisions."
Including bad ones.
UPDATE 8:45 AM PT: Marbury is now awake and talking crazy again.
UPDATE 9:55 AM PT: Marbury just turned it up a notch -- apparently he just ate some Vaseline.

Beckham -- Damn You Fined!
In perhaps the most meaningless punishment in the history of sports, Major League Soccer has decided to fine David Beckham $1,000 for challenging some L.A. Galaxy fans to a fight during a game last week.
For the record, $1,000 to David Beckham is like 14 cents to the rest of the players on his team.
If you recall, Beckham -- a member of the L.A. Galaxy -- got all testy during the game when Galaxy fans booed the crap out of him in his home stadium.
After the incident, Beckham said he had no intention of apologizing -- meanwhile, Galaxy fans have no intention of ever cheering for him again.

Nike Returning LeBron Dunk Tapes
They just did it -- Nike has finally decided to give back the tapes they confiscated showing LeBron James getting dunked on by a college kid.
Nike henchmen took the tapes from two accredited journalists moments after Xavier's Jordan Crawford threw it down on King James at his Nike sponsored summer skills camp earlier this month.
The decision to take the tapes ignited a huge controversy and speculation that the Swoosh didn't want LeBron, a huge Nike spokesperson, to be seen in a bad light.
Nike claims it only snatched the tapes based on a policy that no pickup games be filmed.
But now -- 2 days after TMZ released the first copy of the dunk -- Nike is finally doing the right thing. However, it's unclear when they will hand the tapes back to the journalists.
