TMZ caught up with Drew over Zoom Tuesday after Shane Tamura went on his Monday night rampage inside the Midtown Manhattan tower before fatally shooting himself in the chest on the 33rd floor ... after failing to reach the targeted NFL offices.

Police sources say Tamura left a 3-page suicide note saying he had a grievance with the NFL and claiming he suffered from CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy). As a result, he said he wanted his brain to be studied.

The incident happened around 9 AM in Connecticut on Thursday -- hours before we broke the news of Hulk Hogan's passing.

According to a crash report we obtained, McMahon's 2024 Bentley was traveling northbound on Route 15 in Westport when it rammed into the back of a 2023 BMW 430 and collided with a median wooden-beam guardrail.

A rep for Securitas USA, a prominent protective security services company, tells TMZ ... Tamura was previously employed by the organization, and worked in Nevada.

An NFL employee suffered a gunshot wound in his back during the deadly shooting in New York City on Monday, according to a new report.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell previously revealed that one employee was seriously injured in the mass shooting that took place at 345 Park Avenue, the home of the league's headquarters.

The employee was identified as Craig Clementi, who works in the finance department ... and, according to The Athletic, he was hit by a bullet that may have ricocheted before striking him.

Shane Tamura -- the gunman behind Monday's deadly mass shooting in Manhattan -- was a "quiet, hard worker" during his high school football days, his former coach said following the tragedy.

Tamura, 27, was a former running back at Granada Hills Charter school in Southern California in the mid-2010s before he gunned down four people, including an NYPD officer, at 345 Park Avenue on Monday.

His former assistant coach, Walter Roby, told FOX 11 that he was a "quiet" kid and a "hard worker" who was easy to coach after transferring to Granada Hills from Golden Valley.

The shooter who targeted the NFL headquarters in New York and opened fire died by suicide by shooting himself in the chest ... an unusual move, and it appears he wanted his brain preserved to prove a point.

Investigators found a 3-page suicide note on 27-year-old Shane Tamura's body claiming he had CTE, our law enforcement sources say. CTE is a degenerative brain disease found in individuals with a history of repeated head impacts, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Police say the gunman wanted his brain studied and that's why he used the unusual means to end his life.
