Deon Cole had the crowd cracking up during his opening bit at the NAACP Image Awards over the weekend, where he took aim at Nicki Minaj in a mock prayer that quickly went off the rails.

Cole began the bit Saturday night by saying, "Lord, we want you to bless our sister, Nicki Minaj," before suggesting she's "been going through a lot lately" and "hasn't been herself." Then he dropped the punchline ... joking that whatever's "in her ass is affecting her brain" and asking the Lord to "take it out."

Cameras caught audience members laughing and smiling as Cole delivered the joke preacher style, fully committing to the bit during what many online are already calling a controversial opening segment.

A routine weekend on Austin's West 6th Street turned into a nightmare early Sunday when gunfire erupted, leaving at least three people dead and dozens injured.

Buford's Backyard Beer Garden was packed near closing time with hundreds of people out for drinks and dancing when a male suspect opened fire just before 2 AM in the entertainment district near the University of Texas.

In a video on social media, scores of Iranians are seen partying in the streets following an overnight airstrike Saturday that killed Khamenei at his compound in downtown Tehran.

The intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and Slauson Avenue was dedicated to late rapper Nipsey Hussle Saturday ... and Nipsey's former partner Lauren London said he always knew it would be.

Lauren held back tears as she addressed the crowd at the newly named Nipsey Hussle Square, saying, "When me and Nip first started dating, we would drive by over here and he would be like, 'You know, Boogie, one day, they're gonna name this whole section after me.' And here we are today."

The original location for Nipsey's The Marathon clothing store was located near the intersection that now bears his name. Nipsey was tragically murdered outside of the storefront in 2019, and the store was closed. But the brand lives on, and now his name is indelibly linked with the crossing.

Kodak Black just loves to perform -- after the rapper missed a scheduled concert in Midland, Texas on Friday, he decided he wasn't going to let that stop him from putting on a show ... and jumped on stage at another venue for free!

Fans in Midland were understandably upset about Kodak's absence but we're told so was Kodak.

Bill Cosby is seeking to prevent Janice Dickinson, Andrea Constand and several other accusers from testifying against him in an upcoming trial ... TMZ has learned.

In court documents obtained by TMZ, not only does Cosby want to bar witness testimony ... he also wants to prevent "evidence of sexual misconduct allegations" from Barbara Bowman, Theresa Picking Serignese and others from being presented at the trial.

In the papers, Cosby claims the evidence is inadmissible because they refer to prior alleged crimes that were ultimately "uncharged."

Britney Spears' Iranian American ex-husband Sam Asghari is applauding America for joining forces with Israel and striking Iran Saturday ... even saying he's glad the country's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is dead.
