After partying their butts off at E11EVEN in Miami just hours ago, the United States men's hockey team is already on their way to Washington, D.C. to link up with President Donald Trump ahead of Tuesday's State of the Union address -- and they're traveling courtesy of a military plane!!

Matthew Tkachuk shared a photo on Instagram as the team got ready to board the Air Force Boeing 757 bound for the nation's capital -- and it seems everyone made the early morning call time for the trip.

It was wheels up shortly before noon for the two-and-a-half-hour flight from the 305 to 202 ... where the team is expected to stop by the White House before sitting in on Trump's speech.

Ellen Hughes -- Team USA women's hockey player development consultant and Jack and Quinn's mom -- is giving her take on President Trump's locker room joke following Sunday's gold medal game ... saying what really matters to both squads is "unity."

Hughes -- a former member of the women's national hockey team herself -- was asked about POTUS' controversial comments to the men's team on Tuesday's episode of "Today" ... and while there are plenty of social media users pissed about the phone call, Hughes thinks the recent success of both organizations can bring folks together.

"At the end of the day, it's just about the country," Hughes said, "and the moment that these players, both the men and women, can bring so much unity to a group and to a country."

The singer -- who also appeared on "The Voice" -- says he was unable to show his train ticket because his phone died ... but was barred from exiting the train to get a physical ticket and instead taken away to the clink.

He reposted the video on his own social media page, and also hopped online to share an update after claiming to be locked up behind bars for 24 hours.

The NYPD seems poised to release an avalanche of punishment on some snowball fighters ... announcing they're investigating an incident after officers were pelted with snow.

New York City Police Commissioner Jessica S. Tisch announced cops are looking into a video taken in Washington Square Park Monday ... which shows officers walking through a huge crowd of people and being bombarded with snowballs.

In a statement to Deadline, Carradine's family called him a "beacon of light" in a world that can feel dark, and described his struggle with mental illness as "valiant." They said they hope his journey helps shine a light on the stigma surrounding bipolar disorder and asked for privacy as they grieve.

Robert's older brother Keith Carradine said the family wants people to understand there is "no shame" in the illness that ultimately "got the best of him." He remembered Robert as profoundly gifted, funny, wise and accepting, adding they will celebrate both his life and his strength in fighting the disorder for so many years.
