Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster are finally ready to make it official -- the, relatively, new couple posed for pics as they arrived together for the first time at a showbiz event.

Check 'em out ... Hugh went with a classic look, opting for a black suit and tie, while Sutton matched her new beau in a chic black slip dress Sunday in Hollywood for the AFI FEST screening of "Song Sung Blue."

The "Music Man" alums and longtime friends went public with their relationship in January, showing PDA during a dinner date in Santa Monica.

The stars came out in force Sunday for Vogue World: Hollywood to celebrate movies and fashion and give to charity ... and it was all topped off by major performances from Doja Cat and Gracie Abrams.

Adrian Peterson has been arrested after allegedly driving while under the influence ... TMZ has learned.

According to online records, Peterson was arrested in Sugar Land, Texas around 10 AM local time Sunday. He was booked on one charge of DWI and one charge of unlawful carrying of a weapon.

This is Peterson's second DWI arrest this year after he was popped in Minnesota back in April shortly after the Vikings draft day party when a police officer claimed they saw him going 83 in a 55 MPH zone at just after 3 AM.

Sebastian Van Stockum -- a 20-year-old man -- was arrested Friday after officers were called to a home in New Canaan, CT by someone who allegedly told them he'd killed his mom.

Emergency crews tried to perform life-saving measures on the victim -- who the police aren't publicly identifying yet ... but the person was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene. Stockum has been charged with murder, and he's being held on $2 million bond.
